Cam Vaughn Files Lawsuit to Enter Transfer Portal
Former Miami wide receiver Cam Vaughn has filed a lawsuit against the university and the NCAA in an attempt to enter the transfer portal. Vaughn was dismissed from the team on August 17th, with his representative stating that Miami "cancelled his scholarship with no written explanation, no identified rule violation, and no hearing. Miami then refused to submit the waiver request the NCAA requires so that he can enter the transfer portal -- leaving Cam without the ability to pursue his education or a team to play for." Vaughn played for West Virginia last season, leading the team in all receiving stats with 35 receptions for 541 yards and four touchdowns.
