JC French Officially Named Cincinnati's QB1
Cincinnati has named transfer quarterback JC French the starter heading into the 2026 season, according to On3. French was the primary starter at Georgia State over the last two seasons and threw for 5,460 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions in 26 games. He's a capable runner too, with 612 yards and eight rushing touchdowns in his career ledger. French is set to replace Brendan Sorsby, who transferred to Texas Tech before ultimately leaving the program due to off-the-field issues. The Bearcats' top five receivers from last season are gone, so returner Isaiah Johnson and transfers JV Gibson (Arkansas Pine-Bluff) and Malachi Henry (Central Arkansas) are expected to operate as the team's starting wide receivers to open the year.
