On Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Cup Series tried to hold the qualifying session to set the starting lineup for this weekend's race at Dover Motor Speedway, but Mother Nature had other plans.
Rain caused the cancellation of qualifying this weekend and the starting lineup for Sunday afternoon's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 was set by the metric.
Cup practice and qualifying at Dover has been canceled because of rain. Chase Elliott will be on the pole and Chase Briscoe will join him on the front row. Lineup based on metric (70% previous race, 30% owner points).
