List of Current NFL Offensive Coordinators (Updated 2024)

Kliff Kingsbury - NFL Coach, Offensive Coordinator

Lance Fernandez lists the offensive coordinators for all 32 teams this 2024 NFL season, with experience from previous head-coaching stints to assistant coaching.

Being an NFL offensive coordinator is a rare opportunity because only 32 are employed at any given season. With that massive responsibility comes a direct impact on the team’s success. Likewise, their sound tactics can help quarterbacks, skill position players, and offensive linemen become Pro Bowlers or All-Pros.

The journey to becoming an offensive coordinator varies. Some get promoted after handling a minor coaching role while others are former NFL head coaches looking to help another team. Regardless of their paths, the best-performing offensive coordinators could land NFL or college football head coaching jobs.

Therefore, here are the coordinators tasked to diagram plays that could lead to points. Several will take on the offensive coordinator position for new teams this season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Offensive Coordinators for AFC East Teams

Buffalo Bills – Joe Brady

Brady was the Bills quarterbacks coach before the team promoted him to interim offensive coordinator after firing Ken Dorsey 10 games into the 2023 season. He will fulfill the same role this time without the interim tag.

Miami Dolphins – Frank Smith

Smith will enter his third season as Dolphins offensive coordinator, the same tenure as head coach Mike McDaniel. He will be in charge of an explosive offense featuring Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and Jaylen Waddle. Before joining the Dolphins, Smith has been coaching for various NFL positions since 2010.

New England Patriots – Alex Van Pelt

Van Pelt was the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator until he got the pink slip after their disappointing AFC Wild Card Round loss to the Houston Texans last season. He transfers to Foxborough to do the same job under new head coach Jerod Mayo.

New York Jets – Nathaniel Hackett

He was the Denver Broncos head coach before joining the Jets as offensive coordinator last year. Hackett stays in the role even if the team’s postseason drought continues. The fans of New York’s AFC team hope that Hackett and Aaron Rodgers can deliver the success they enjoyed with the Green Bay Packers.

Offensive Coordinators for AFC North Teams

Baltimore Ravens – Todd Monken

Monken will be in his second season as Ravens offensive coordinator after taking over from Greg Roman. Before joining the Ravens, Monken helped the Georgia Bulldogs win back-to-back National Championships.

Cincinnati Bengals – Dan Pitcher

Pitcher has risen through the ranks since joining the Bengals in 2016. He started as an offensive assistant and was the quarterbacks coach before getting promoted to offensive coordinator. Pitcher will take over from Brian Callahan, who took over the Tennessee Titans’ head coaching role.

Cleveland Browns – Ken Dorsey

Dorsey, who also played for the Browns from 2006 to 2008, transfers from Buffalo to Cleveland. He takes over for previous coordinator Alex Van Pelt.

Pittsburgh Steelers – Arthur Smith

Smith was the Falcons head coach for three seasons before accepting the job as Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator. He also had coaching stints with the Tennessee Titans and Washington. Smith will take over from Eddie Faulkner, the Steelers' interim offensive coordinator who took over from Matt Canada.

Offensive Coordinators for AFC South Teams

Houston Texans – Bobby Slowik

Bobby Slowik's success with the Texans last year made him a head coaching candidate this offseason. Instead, he will be in charge of Houston’s dynamic offense for another season. Slowik was with the 49ers before joining the Texans. While he’s now in charge of Houston’s offensive strategy, he started his coaching career on defense.

Indianapolis Colts – Jim Bob Cooter

Cooter will be in his second season as the Colts offensive coordinator under head coach Shane Steichen. However, it’s not the first time he has coached in Indianapolis because he was an offensive assistant under Jim Caldwell from 2009 to 2011.

Jacksonville Jaguars – Press Taylor

Taylor will enter his third season as Jaguars offensive coordinator under head coach Doug Pederson. He had various coaching positions with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2013 to 2020 before becoming the Colts’ senior offensive assistant in 2021.

Tennessee Titans – Nick Holz

Holz will transfer from one AFC South squad to another as he takes over the Titans’ offensive coordinator role from Tim Kelly. Before Holz started working with head coach Brian Callahan, he was the Jaguars’ passing game coordinator last year.

Offensive Coordinators for AFC West Teams

Denver Broncos – Joe Lombardi

Lombardi joined the Broncos when head coach Sean Payton took over. It’s a no-brainer because Lombardi was Payton’s deputy during their New Orleans Saints days. Lombardi was the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

Kansas City Chiefs – Matt Nagy

After working as Chicago Bears head coach from 2018 to 2021, Nagy returned to the Chiefs as quarterbacks coach before becoming the offensive coordinator. Nagy filled the same coaching roles under Andy Reid before joining the Bears.

Las Vegas Raiders – Luke Getsy

Getsy was the Bears offensive coordinator for two seasons before signing with the Raiders. He will be the mastermind on offense as Antonio Pierce is a defensive specialist. Gets takes over from Mick Lombardi, who was fired with Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler after their 2023 Week 8 game against the Lions.

Los Angeles Chargers – Greg Roman

The Chargers will be Roman's fourth NFL team as offensive coordinator. Before joining Jim Harbaugh’s staff, Roman was the Ravens offensive coordinator for four seasons and the coordinator for the Bills and the 49ers for six seasons.

Offensive Coordinators for NFC East Teams

Dallas Cowboys – Brian Schottenheimer

The son of the late coaching great Marty Schottenheimer first served as the Cowboys' coaching analyst before taking over as offensive coordinator last season. Under his guidance, the Cowboys led the league in points per game and finished fifth in yards per game.

New York Giants – Mike Kafka

Kafka has been the Giants’ offensive coordinator since 2022 and will be the team’s assistant head coach starting the 2024 season. Before joining the Giants, Kafka was the Chiefs’ offensive quality control and quarterbacks coach.

Philadelphia Eagles – Kellen Moore

Moore served as Cowboys offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022. After a one-year stint in the same role with the Chargers, he will be the offense coordinator of the Cowboys’ most hated rival. Moore also played six seasons as quarterback for the Lions and the Cowboys.

Washington Commanders – Kliff Kingsbury

After working as Arizona Cardinals head coach from 2019 to 2022, Kingsbury worked as a senior offensive analyst for the USC Trojans under head coach Lincoln Riley. He returns to the NFL with Washington, joining Dan Quinn’s crew.

Offensive Coordinators for NFC North Teams

Chicago Bears – Shane Waldron

Waldron was Seattle's offensive coordinator for three seasons before joining the Bears. He has also coached for the Patriots, Washington, and the Los Angeles Rams. Waldron started as a Patriots operations assistant before beginning his coaching career.

Detroit Lions – Ben Johnson

Johnson became a finalist for the head coaching role of the Commanders and the Seahawks. However, he chose to return to the Lions for another season and build on the success they’ve enjoyed in 2023. Johnson started with the Lions as an offensive quality control coach before becoming a tight ends coach and passing game coordinator.

Green Bay Packers – Adam Stenavich

Stenavich has been with the Packers since 2019, working as the offensive line coach. He then added the role of run game coordinator before becoming offensive coordinator in 2022. He and Matt LaFleur are in charge of Green Bay’s young but talented offensive nucleus.

Minnesota Vikings – Wes Phillips

Phillips has worked with head coach Kevin O’Connell since their days with the Rams. O’Connell was the offensive coordinator, while Phillips was the tight ends coach and pass game coordinator when the Rams won Super Bowl LVI. The tandem is trying to replicate that success with the Vikings.

Offensive Coordinators for NFC South Teams

Atlanta Falcons – Zac Robinson

As Raheem Morris takes over the Falcons, he turns to one of the former Rams coaches as offensive coordinator. Robinson has worked for the Rams since 2019 as an assistant quarterbacks coach and became the Rams’ pass game coordinator before signing with Atlanta.

Carolina Panthers – Brad Idzik

Idzik has been working with Panthers head coach Dave Canales since 2019. He started as assistant wide receivers coach with the Seahawks and fulfilled the same role with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Canales. With his long-time colleague getting promoted to head coach, Idzik becomes Carolina’s offensive coordinator.

New Orleans Saints – Klint Kubiak

The son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak served as the Vikings offensive coordinator for the 2021 season. Before joining the Saints, he was passing game coordinator for the Broncos and the 49ers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Liam Coen

Coen was the Kentucky Wildcats offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach before joining the Buccaneers. He takes over from Canales, who was hired as Panthers head coach. He also coached various positions, including offensive coordinator, with the Rams.

Offensive Coordinators for NFC West Teams

Arizona Cardinals – Drew Petzing

Petzing will enter his second season as Cardinals offensive coordinator. Before taking the role under head coach Jonathan Gannon, he coached various roles for the Vikings and the Browns.

Los Angeles Rams – Mike LaFleur

The younger brother of Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will enter year two as Rams offensive coordinator. He held the same role with the Jets and was also the 49ers' passing game coordinator.

San Francisco 49ers – Kyle Shanahan

As head coach, Shanahan serves as San Francisco’s de facto offensive coordinator. The Niners haven’t had an offensive coordinator since Mike McDaniel, who now coaches the Dolphins. Klay Kubiak is the 49ers offensive passing game specialist.

Seattle Seahawks – Ryan Grubb

Grubb is the only offensive coordinator on this list who hasn’t coached in the NFL before. He was the offensive coordinator for the Washington Huskies when they reached the latest CFP National Championship game. He also coached for Fresno State, Eastern Michigan, Sioux Falls, and South Dakota State.
