Who Should I Draft for Fantasy Football? Calvin Ridley, D.J. Moore, Jakobi Meyers Outlooks (2025)

Calvin Ridley - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL DFS Picks, Draft Sleepers

Who should I draft for fantasy football in 2025? Fantasy football outlooks for Calvin Ridley, D.J. Moore, Jakobi Meyers, and our expert draft advice.

While we saw the running back position make a comeback last year, wide receivers were still crucial to fantasy football success. That means it’s imperative that fantasy gamers still take time to evaluate which receivers they should target in their annual fantasy football draft.

Luckily, the wide receiver position is very deep this year. There are a plethora of options for gamers to choose from. Three players of interest are Calvin Ridley, D.J. Moore, and Jakobi Meyers. Each player has their own strengths and weaknesses. Their situations are also unique. This can make choosing which player to draft quite difficult.

Today, we will attempt to bring some clarity to this situation. Let’s analyze each of Ridley, Moore, and Meyers and figure out which one you should select in your 2025 fantasy football draft.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Calvin Ridley 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

Ridley cracked the 1,000-yard mark for the second consecutive season in 2024. However, poor quarterback play from Mason Rudolph and Will Levis led to inconsistent results. He would finish 2024 as the PPR WR28 and the WR40 in PPR points per game.

However, Ridley still looked plenty explosive last year and proved he still has plenty of gas left in the tank.

Ridley began the 2024 season playing alongside fellow veteran receiver DeAndre Hopkins. The team would eventually trade Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs. From that point forward, Ridley operated as Tennessee’s far and away top receiver.

Tennessee moved Hopkins right before its Week 8 game against the Detroit Lions. Let’s take a look at some of Ridley’s advanced data from Week 8 until the end of the year (Data courtesy of Fantasy Points Data Suite):

  • 43% air yards share
  • 23.9% target share
  • 24% targets per route run
  • 2.45 yards per route run

While Ridley’s traditional stats for the overall season were a bit underwhelming, his post-Hopkins advanced data show a player still capable of producing high-end fantasy football results. Tennessee’s terrible quarterback play just killed any chance of that happening.

Luckily for Ridley, things will be much different for him at this position in 2025. Tennessee selected rookie signal-caller Cameron Ward with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He is sure to be an upgrade over the slop the Titans rolled out last year. Ward has reportedly been very impressive this summer, and his presence should be a clear upgrade for Ridley.

If the reports are true and Ward is a legitimate franchise quarterback, then he could have the same effect on Ridley’s career that Jayden Daniels had on Terry McLaurin’s last year. Ridley also faces little target competition and looks to be far and away the team’s top option in the passing game.

Combining a talented receiver with a ton of volume and improved quarterback play is usually a good formula for fantasy football success. If everything breaks right, Ridley could finish 2025 in the WR1 conversation. That makes him one of the better values available in drafts this year.

D.J. Moore 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

Despite the Bears' offense being a complete dumpster fire in 2024, Moore still posted a 98-966-6 line and finished the season as the PPR WR16.

Chicago made a major move this offseason and hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to be their new head coach. He has been tasked with turning around quarterback Caleb Williams and a Bears offense that struggled mightily in 2024.

While Johnson’s arrival will undoubtedly improve Chicago’s offense and is good news for Moore, it’s uncertain who will emerge as the team’s top target. Chicago heavily invested in the offensive side of the ball in the NFL Draft. The Bears selected tight Colston Loveland 10th overall and followed that up by taking wide receiver Luther Burden III 39th overall in Round 2. Last year’s ninth overall pick, Rome Odunze, remains in the mix as well.

Moore suddenly has a ton of target competition, and it's unclear what exactly his role will be in 2025. His attitude was also an issue at times during the 2024 campaign. It’s fair to wonder if that could re-emerge this year if Moore is not being featured the way he wants.

Despite the drawbacks, there is still a scenario where Moore is Chicago’s WR1 and puts up one of the best seasons of his career. That is the ideal scenario for gamers. However, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding how this team will distribute targets this year. Moore is currently being selected 51.16 overall in FFPC drafts and is the first Bears pass catcher being taken in drafts.

While this is an offense gamers should attack in drafts, it might be best to fade the most expensive piece and target other Chicago pass-catchers at better prices.

Jakobi Meyers 2025 Fantasy Football Outlook

Meyers is coming off a career year in 2024. He set career highs in targets, receptions, and receiving yards. An 87-1027-4 line helped him finish the year as the PPR WR19.

Like Moore, Meyers also has a new head coach and play-caller for the 2025 season. Pete Carroll takes over as the Las Vegas head coach. He hired former Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly to be the team’s offense coordinator.

Kelly has spent the last seven years coaching at the collegiate level. It has been quite some time since we have seen him run an NFL offense. Kelly’s pairing with Carroll is an interesting one. The last time we saw him in the NFL, Kelly was known for running a fast-paced offense, and it’s unclear how this fits Carroll’s vision.

The one area where Carroll and Kelly are definitely in alignment is building an offense through a strong rushing attack. After Las Vegas drafted running back Ashton Jeanty sixth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, it feels safe to say we should expect the Raiders to heavily rely on their ground game this year.

While that could be problematic for Meyer's outlook, he does get a massive quarterback upgrade in the form of Geno Smith. He has been one of the more accurate quarterbacks in the league over the last few years. Among 40 quarterbacks with 200+ dropbacks in 2024, Smith ranked third in Fantasy Points Data Suite’s adjusted completion percentage. Smith’s addition is great news for Meyer’s fantasy prospects.

However, while Meyers is the Raiders' WR1, he is not the team’s top weapon in the passing game. Sophomore tight end Brock Bowers is coming off a historic rookie season. He will remain heavily involved in the offense and figures to be the Raiders' leading receiver again in 2025.

All of this is not necessarily bad news for Meyers. However, it will probably put a hard cap on his ceiling, and he might have a hard time surpassing his 2024 totals. Gamers should draft him as a WR3 or solid flex play, particularly in PPR formats.

Who Should You Draft in 2025 Fantasy Football?

There are several ways to approach this question. Moore has had a solid career and has not finished outside the top-24 receivers in PPR leagues since 2018. However, he has more target competition this year, and there are many questions about what the Bears' offense will look like.

Meyers is an underrated player and is Las Vegas’ WR1. However, tight end Brock Bowers will operate as the team’s top pass-catcher. With head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly calling the shots, Las Vegas also figures to be a run-heavy team. Both these factors will limit Meyers’ upside.

Ridley is the most intriguing name of the three. Since returning from a suspension in 2023, he has posted two straight 1,000-yard seasons and hasn’t lost a step in terms of his route-running. 2025 is Ridley’s age-30 season, and there is some concern that his game could experience age-related decline. However, there is nothing from the last two years to suggest this is a major concern. He also faces little competition for targets and should be Tennessee’s top target earner by a wide margin.

If Ward proves to be a legitimate franchise quarterback, then Ridley could be in line for his best season since his 2020 breakout campaign. That would make Ridley a major value at his current FFPC ADP of 67.78 overall. It also makes Ridley the preferred pick in drafts. He gets a clear quarterback upgrade and is the only player among himself, Moore, and Meyers who is their team’s unquestioned WR1 heading into the season.

Target Ridley in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts. He’s a great WR2/WR3 target and is an ideal player to draft in running back-heavy builds.
