Matt's running back (RB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 14 of 2025. His RB lineups advice for Week 14 fantasy football start/sit decisions.
For many, Week 14 is it. A win and you are in, a loss and your fantasy football championship aspirations are pushed off to another year.
Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, and De'Von Achane did what fantasy managers drafted them to do in Week 13; however, the same can not be said for Saquon Barkley or Travis Etienne Jr. It's a damned if you do, and damned if you don't fantasy lifestyle and fantasy managers must remain fluid especially as the fantasy football regular season drws to its conclusion.
With that said, here are your RotoBaller starts and sits at the running back position for Week 14 of the fantasy football season.

Week 14 - Potential Fantasy Football Booms
Chase Brown - RB, Cincinnati Bengals at Buffalo Bills
Since Week 8, there have been very few backs who have been lighting it up the way Chase Brown has. Over Brown's last five games, the Bengals back is averaging 19.3 fantasy points per game while averaging 117.3 yards of total offense per game, along with 26 receptions.

Brown is currently on a six-game stretch in which he has finished with 100 or more total yards, and against the Bills, there is a good chance Brown stretches that to seven consecutive games. Only the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals have allowed more rushing yards per game this season than the Buffalo Bills, who enter Sunday's contests allowing 141.3 rushing yards per game.
From a fantasy perspective, before Kenneth Gainwell and Jaylen Warren combined for a touchdown, 89 yards of total offense, and four receptions, the Bills had been allowing 27.20 fantasy points per game over the last four and 25.15 fantasy points per contest on the season. Brown isn't really in the sharing mood if he has any say.
The only thing holding Brown back is Zac Taylor's infatuation with Samaje Perine; if not for Perine, Brown would have already broken Joe Mixon's team record of 48 receptions. As it stands, right now, Brown sits 12 back of the Bengals' franchise record.
Kenneth Walker III - RB, Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons
One of the more unpredictable backs this season has been Kenneth Walker III. Walker's 134.8 fantasy points this season have him situated as the RB21. However, he's been slightly better in recent weeks, averaging 14.5 fantasy points per game over his last three contests.
Looking at the names, Walker has been more consistent than Kyren Williams, Javonte Williams, Quinshon Judkins, and Breece Hall over that stretch. The only thing really missing from his resume is the touchdown, which he has only one over that period and just four on the season, capping his fantasy floor. Let's look at what he has done, though, shall we?
In those three previous contests, Walker has averaged 95.3 yards of total offense and chipped in with three receptions in each.
Look for Walker to continue to build upon the fantasy foundation laid in recent weeks. Last week, Atlanta surrendered 68 yards on the ground and a touchdown on the ground to Breece Hall while he also caught both of his targets. With Walker's recent usage and the 27.38 fantasy points per game the Falcons have allowed over the last four weeks, there is a good chance Walker finishes the week no worse than an RB2, and, with any luck, he can find the end zone, pushing him into that RB1 territory.
Jordan Mason- RB, Minnesota Vikings vs Washington Commanders
Aaron Jones Sr. is considered day-to-day after reinjuring his shoulder once again. Jones initially suffered an AC sprain in Week 9, but was able to return to action in Week 10. But has reaggravated the injury on multiple occasions since. Even if Jones were to play, it's a matter of when, not if, he gets hurt. That's why Jordan Mason is a flex play that has RB1 upside this week.

Last week, when afforded the opportunity, Mason averaged 7.8 yards per carry against the Seahawks, including a 24-yard run. J.J. McCarthy has passed the league's concussion protocol and is set to start in Week 14, which, in theory, should be an upgrade for this Vikings offense, which has been frustrating fantasy managers in recent weeks, much of that blame reserved for McCarthy. Still, Max Brosmer isn't the answer either.
Look for Minnesota to simplify things for their young quarterback and use the run game to set up the passing game as the Commanders present one of the better matchups this season for opposing running backs in fantasy. Washington is currently allowing 133.3 rushing yards per game, the sixth-most, and has been a lightning rod of fantasy production.
In Week 13, it was RJ Harvey who found the end zone twice. In the previous four weeks, Washington has allowed 31.90 fantasy points per contest, second only to the Giants. On the season, only the aforementioned Ginats and the Cincinnati Bengals have conceded more than the 25.39 fantasy points per game that the Commaders are allowing.
Week 14 - Potential Fantasy Football Busts
Ashton Jeanty - RB, Las Vegas Raiders vs Denver Broncos
Even before the NFL Draft in April, expectations for Ashton Jeanty seemed unreasonable. Even now, some consider Jeanty a bust, yet as we enter Week 14, the Raider running back has produced 177.6 fantasy points, the 11th-most amongst his peers.
Jeanty's 635 rushing yards through 12 games sit 21st in the NF, while his 251 receiving yards are the 11th most at his position. If you work the math out, while the average is nowhere near his college numbers, 73.8 yards per game isn't terrible. Since Week 9, Jeanty is the RB10 in fantasy, averaging 16.3 fantasy points per game, working behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league.
While it's been a relief to get some sustainable fantasy production from Jeanty, it may be short-lived, as the Raiders are facing a Denver Broncos defensive unit that has clamped down on running backs all season. Denver ranks fifth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (93.1), and they welcomed back Alex Singleton last week, who is a tackle machine in the second level.
The last time Jeanty faced the Broncos, he reached the end zone, but he was also limited to 3.15 yards per carry on 19 rushing attempts. Denver is allowing the third-fewest (17.79) fantasy points per game this season.
Woody Marks - RB, Houston Texans at Kansas City Chiefs
Another stingy defense to face as a running back has been that of the Kansas City Chiefs. On the season, Kansas City has limited fantasy production to 18.69 fantasy points per game at the running back position. If not for a short touchdown pass to Williams, they would have held the Cowboys back to less than 10 fantasy points.
As for Woody Marks, he and this Texans run game have been a headache that really isn't worth it, in a good matchup on paper against the Colts (28.47 fpg). Marks averaged 3.4 yards per carry on his 19 attempts, but gave way to both Nico Collins and Nick Chubb, who had the Texans' rushing scores.
Even if the matchup were favourable, it's tough to insert Marks in as anything more than a flex option. In the last three games, Marks has averaged 7.2 fantasy points, which leaves him as the RB40. That's not even worthy of RB3 status on most rosters. Marks is a "Hail May" play at best this week, even for teams without the use of Chuba Hubbard, Rico Dowdle, TreVeyon Henderson, Tyrone Tracy Jr., or McCaffrey.
Zonovan Knight - RB, Arizona Cardinals vs Los Angeles Rams
We need to give Zonovan Knight some love here; his inclusion has nothing to do with a lack of name band recognition. We see you. We see that the Cardinals' running back has averaged 14.3 fantasy points per game over his last three contests. We see Knight has 175 yards from scrimmage, 11 receptions, and more importantly, touchdowns in three consecutive games.
Los Angeles is as tough on opposing running backs as anyone. On the season, the Rams are allowing 18.05 fantasy points per game, the fourth fewest, and have allowed just five touchdowns to running backs, two on the ground and three in the passing game, including a touchdown reception to Hubbard last week.
Expect the Rams to turn this into a one-sided affair and put Jacoby Brissett in the familiar position of having to throw on every down in an attempt to stay even on the scoreboard. After all, Brissett has attempted 30 or more passes in each of his seven starts this season and thrown two touchdowns in all but one of those starts. There is an off chance that Knight is utilized in the passing game, but with Trey McBride, Michael Wilson, and potentially Marvin Harrison Jr., that's a risk I'd rather not take.
