DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Late Saturday Slate (10/18/25)

Gavin Sawchuk - College Football Rankings, NCAA CFB DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Draft

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (10/18/25) late slate in Week 8. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Oregon State is slumming by playing Lafayette. Apparently, it's so embarrassing that DraftKings can't even put it on the slate! For shame!

We still have two good ones, starting with Nevada in Albuquerque to take on the Lobos. We end the night in Palo Alto with another East Coast team heading west as if Florida State doesn't have enough problems already.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the late DraftKings slate on 10/18/25, starting at 9:45 pm Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Thomas Castellanos, Florida State ($8.2K)

This is why people keep coming back to Thomas Castellanos. Throws like this. Never mind that he isn't that consistent. It's all about the moments like this for riverboat gamblers in GPP Tournaments.

Castellanos will be used in most lineups because of this and the rushing upside. To me, he's a little risky to fade against a bad Stanford defense. Castellanos has at least 19.9 DraftKings points in every game. Stanford won't be able to hold him to fewer than that. Plug your nose if you have to, but you can't afford not to use Castellanos.

Carter Jones, Nevada ($7.2K)

We'll forgive the horrible game against San Diego State. Jones wasn't the only one who was an utter failure against the class of the Mountain West. It was a hard left from Jones's strong showing against Fresno that won him this job in the first place.

New Mexico allows 264.2 passing yards per game. That's 126th out of 136 FBS teams. We will finally get to see what Jones is made of in this one. It's worth paying the premium based on the 11-for-15 showing in the second half against Fresno.

Also consider these QBs:

  • Ben Gulbranson, Stanford ($7.5K)
  • Jack Layne, New Mexico ($6.9K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Gavin Sawchuk, Florida State ($6K)

This is the kind of work that Sawchuck should have been getting for Oklahoma in 2024. Florida State still rotates backs, but Sawchuk has the most chances and is the most explosive.

That's not always a guarantee for success, but it's a good place to start. Pitt was the only team to hold him under 10 DK points (9.7). Even though the Seminoles are losing, Sawchuk should be a big key in Florida State's first conference win in about 13 months.

Damon Bankston, New Mexico ($4.5K)

The team still loves to give the ball to Scottre Humphrey, but Bankston does a lot more with his touches. Bankston is very active in the passing game, which gives him a few extra points per game. Even if the Lobos only get him around 12 touches per game, Bankston has at least 15 DK points in four of the six games this year.

Cole Tabb, Stanford ($4.1K)

Tabb hasn't passed Micah Ford on the depth chart, but he has worked his way into more of a timeshare as opposed to a starter and backup. Ford is a much better receiver out of the backfield, but the Cardinals have shown a willingness to run Tabb on early downs.

The risk here is that Florida State shows up and jumps ahead early, thereby destroying the original game plan. If that happens, Tabb will be an anchor keeping your lineup at the bottom. He's best left for GPP formats.

Also consider these RBs

  • Micah Ford, Stanford ($5.7K)
  • Caleb Ramsour, Nevada ($5.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

CJ Williams, Stanford ($6.2K)

You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who will defend the play of Gulbranson, but Williams is far and away his favorite target. That still counts for something.

Williams has 15 more receptions than anyone else on the team. That's a lot of free points on a PPR site such as DraftKings. We can't really say that the touchdowns will come since Stanford is allergic to the end zone, but we can count on Williams.

He has 28 receptions for 350 yards and a touchdown in the last three games alone. Rack up that bonus for 100-yard games while you're here for the receptions.

Micahi Danzy, Florida State ($5.4K)

Danzy erupted against Pitt after Duce Robinson went down. Robinson is still listed as questionable for this one, but why would Florida State use him? Stanford is the worst game left on the schedule.

I would be surprised if Robinson plays, so Danzy is a huge value at this price. He had seven catches for 133 yards and two scores against Pitt.

Sam Roush, Stanford ($4.5K)

The best friend of a struggling quarterback or a young quarterback is the tight end. That holds for Roush. Roush has 14 receptions for 211 yards and two touchdowns in the last three games.

In a game where Stanford will have to throw to keep up, I like pieces of the Stanford passing attack. That said, it's likely best to run them without Gulbranson. He's too mistake-prone.

Jordan Brown, Nevada ($4K)

Marcus Bellon has already been ruled out for Nevada. That leaves Brown and TE Jett Carpenter as the favorite targets for new QB Carter Jones. We didn't learn much from Jones running for his life against the Aztecs, but with Bellon out, Brown should see a ton of targets.

Also consider these WRs:

  • Keagan Johnson, New Mexico ($6.8K)
  • Duce Robinson, Florida State ($6.5K)
  • Randy Pittman Jr., Florida State ($4.8K)
  • Jett Carpenter, Nevada ($3.2K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Florida State vs. Stanford

This will be the best stack on the slate, and the price isn't prohibitive. However, like Hawaii last week, being able to modify your lineup for the last game of the night will determine your success.

Robinson, Roydell Williams, and Jayvan Boggs all carry questionable tags. All could be part of this stack in the right situation. Danzy, Pittman, and Castellanos are locks for any stack. I will likely use Sawchuk as my fourth.

A five-man FSU stack that hits could take this down. That would require waiting on Robinson news. Use him if he's in, pivot to Squirrel White if he's not. You could also run it back with an extra Stanford receiver and ignore White.

That may be the way to go since everyone else's lineups will be locked. If those entries stacked the sure things in the first game, you could reap the rewards.

Also consider these other stacks:

  • New Mexico
  • Nevada (GPP only)
  • Stanford (GPP only)
