RotoBaller's MLB power rankings for all 30 teams in mid-June. Where does each MLB team stand in our latest power rankings for the 2026 season?
Major League Baseball continues to be a league of tiers. The upper echelon teams are undoubtedly at the top of the league, while the bottom feeders are just looking for development from their younger guys.
The middle tier, though? It's absolute chaos. Nine teams in each league have realistic shots in the wild card race, and there really isn't much separation between them at all. The toughest part about putting together power rankings is the middle tier, and this year it's been a mess.
But that's what I've set out to do each week. So let's see how everything unfolds in this week's MLB Power Rankings.

No. 30 - Colorado Rockies
A series win over the Cubs at Coors Field was nice, but it was a much less friendly atmosphere than the A's provided in Vegas. The Rockies' pitching has been a detriment to them over the last 14 days, pitching to a 7.73 ERA.
Despite the high ERA, one of their best trade chips is likely to be Antonio Senzatela. The former starter has excelled in a bullpen role and should be an attractive piece to contenders looking to add bullpen depth. With how Colorado's season has gone, they'll be looking forward to changes at the deadline and continued development from their younger players.
No. 29 - Kansas City Royals
As soon as it seems like the Royals get going, they start to fall flat on their face. They've now lost four straight games (prior to their Sunday matchup against Houston) and find themselves in danger of being on pace to lose 100 games.
To make matters worse, ace Cole Ragans suffered a setback in his recovery from an elbow injury. Kris Bubic also suffered from a recent setback in his recovery from a shoulder injury. Mind you Vinnie Pasquantino was also just placed on the 10-day IL with a fractured hand.
It's not going well in Kansas City right now, and they may be staring at the reality of selling at the trade deadline.
No. 28 - Los Angeles Angels
The Angels are heating up, pulling out some surprising wins against the Astros and Rays this week. Jo Adell has been helping to lead the offense, posting multiple four-hit games over the past week or so.
His getting hot is great news for the Angels. Not necessarily because it's going to turn around the Angels' season, but rather that Adell should be a hot commodity at the deadline. The Phillies are rumored to be intrigued by the 27-year-old's abilities and could be a realistic landing spot with the Angels likely needing to sell at the deadline.
No. 27 - San Francisco Giants
The Giants have one of the strangest offenses over the past couple of weeks. They are the second-most-efficient offense over the last 14 days, hitting for a 143 wRC+. But that's also included a bevy of one-run performances. It's essentially an all-or-nothing type of offense.
The pitching hasn't been as effective, though, with a 5.59 ERA in that same span. It's why the Giants haven't made up any ground in the wild card race and likely should be bracing for a sell-off at the deadline.
No. 26 - Detroit Tigers
Tarik Skubal is back! He made his return from elbow surgery on Saturday. The fact that he was only forced to miss a month and a half is great news for the Tigers. But while they've been solid in their last ten games, they're still well behind in the wild card race.

— MLB (@MLB) June 13, 2026
As we've been mentioning over the past few editions of these power rankings, the key thing for Detroit's season is going to be Skubal's health. Whether they sell him or keep him, they need him healthy. Expect Detroit to monitor his usage closely as they use the next month to determine what they want to do with the back-to-back Cy Young winner.
No. 25 - Minnesota Twins
The Twins have simply been unable to gain much ground in the wild card race and are looking more and more likely to sell at the deadline. It's not going to be the worst thing in the world for them since they weren't aiming to compete this year anyway, but their chance at competitiveness was there, and they just haven't taken it.
This should mean that guys like Joe Ryan will be on the trade block, and rumors should fly as soon as the Twins put his name out there. They weren't able to find a trade partner last season (sorry, Boston fans), but they should find better suitors this year.
No. 24 - New York Mets
They're still a ways out in the wild card race, but lately, there seems to be a tiny bit more hope for Mets fans. Guys like Jared Young and Carson Benge have started to bring some productivity to the lineup that it's desperately been missing.
And even though there's slight hope, they still are on the border and might have to face decisions on whether to sell or not. If they do then starting pitcher Freddy Peralta's name would make for an obvious trade chip as an expiring contract for a contender in need of starting pitching. A team that wants to prioritize starting pitching in the playoffs should be interested here. Maybe a team like Milwaukee! You never know.
No. 23 - Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox continue to creep ever closer to a positive run differential, a great sign that things may be getting turned around in Boston. But there's still a substantial gap between them and the final AL wild card spot. So not all is looking great yet.
The offense continues to be the biggest thing holding them back. Their season-long wRC+ of 91 isn't going to win them many games. It's been better as of late, but they need to be much better than league average to close that gap in the AL wild card race.
No. 22 - Cincinnati Reds
The Reds find themselves in a bit of a slump after a good start to the season. And while they're only a few games out of the wild card race, they have the NL's third-worst run differential. That doesn't bode well for future success in Cincinnati.
While they have some standouts on both the pitching and hitting side of things, both have slacked as of late. That only spells more negative regression and may put them in the sellers' market as we get closer to the trade deadline.
No. 21 - Houston Astros
The Astros have been waiting a long time for reinforcements to their pitching staff and they finally received good news this weekend. Hunter Brown is returning to the rotation on Tuesday. That should help solidify a rotation that's been one of the league's worst this season, pitching to a 4.92 ERA and a 4.71 xFIP.
If that doesn't get the team stoked, then they should just look and see what Yordan Alvarez is doing. On Friday night, the lefty hit two homers, with one being a grand slam, to combine for six RBI in the first inning! He's crushing it and is positioning himself well for AL MVP honors while the Astros stay within striking distance of the AL wild card.

No. 20 - Toronto Blue Jays
The good news for Toronto is that the offense is starting to find its footing. They've hit for a 111 wRC+ over the last 14 days, a solid step up from their season-long 96 wRC+. But the power still seems to be lacking, especially from their superstars.
Kazuma Okamoto leads the team with 15 homers, outpacing the expectations he had coming into this season. But George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. have combined for just nine homers. Toronto needs a lot more from its bats if they want to come anywhere close to last year's performance.
No. 19 - Baltimore Orioles
The hot streak that the Orioles were on may be over now after losing six of their last nine games. But in the AL wild card race, practically everyone is still alive, so don't count Baltimore out yet!
The offense has been solid, but the pitching needs to get a bit more fine-tuned. They've given up five or more runs in seven of their last nine games. That's not a winning formula and needs to be fixed up if they want to stay in the wild card race.
No. 18 - Miami Marlins
You would think that if you'd won ten of your last 12 games, there'd be a bit more talk about what you're doing. But it seems no one is talking about the Marlins when maybe they should be. After all, not even Paul Skenes could stop them.
While the offense has been solid, it's been the pitching that's driven the Marlins during this stretch. Sandy Alcantara has starred with a 2.86 ERA in 22 IP, while the pitching staff has combined for a 3.23 ERA. They're playing very good ball and deserve a lot more credit for their recent hot streak.

No. 17 - Texas Rangers
The Rangers just continue to be an incredibly back-and-forth team. After winning five straight games, they just seem to alternate wins and losses. But as we've mentioned with the other AL teams, you're always alive in the AL wild card race if you're even semi-competitive.
Texas has the skills to be very competitive, but, as we mentioned with Toronto, they're lacking power. Only one hitter has ten or more home runs, and that's Jake Burger. They need a lot more pop in their bats to give us confidence that they'll make it past the wild card round.
No. 16 - Athletics
The A's had a very solid week playing down in Vegas. Don't let the Rockies' drubbing of them on Sunday change your minds because they still took two of three from Milwaukee. That was necessary, too, to help them hold onto the final wild card spot in the American League.
But you have to wonder if pitching is going to hold them back. They've been getting good performances out of rookie Gage Jump, but the rest of the staff looks way too appealing to opposing hitters. It will be interesting to see what the A's do at the deadline if they stay in the race when the trade deadline comes.
No. 15 - Washington Nationals
If not for Shohei Ohtani then there could be some serious discussion surrounding James Wood's NL MVP chances. The 23-year-old has been crushing everything in sight, posting a 168 wRC+ while knocking out 20 homers. It's going to be tough to win an MVP when Ohtani's in your league, but Wood should be putting up strong fights over the next few seasons.
As for the Nationals, they've won six of their last nine games and are just a game behind the Padres in the NL wild card race. With their pitching staff starting to turn a corner, it's about time we start taking the Nationals seriously.
No. 14 - Arizona Diamondbacks
Arizona's in a similar boat to the Nationals. They've got a pretty efficient offense that's being driven by an MVP-level type of player in Corbin Carroll. But the pitching continues to be a major question mark. Michael Soroka has been their only consistent starter, but his underlying stats suggest some negative regression coming.
That's a big load to lift now for Ryne Nelson, Merrill Kelly, and Zac Gallen, who all have a 5.00 ERA or worse. Offenses usually don't win with a pitching staff that is hitter-friendly. If Arizona's still in the race when the deadline comes around, then expect them to be in the starting pitcher market.
No. 13 - Pittsburgh Pirates
When Paul Skenes takes the mound, you almost always know that the Pirates are going to be a threat to win. And they usually do! So it's going to be surprising to see that, after Sunday, the Pirates have now lost six straight Skenes starts. That simply shouldn't be possible.
The Pirates' struggles extend beyond just Skenes starts, though. They're now 4-8 in the month of June and are two games back of the last NL wild card spot. They have the talent, but a lot of things need to get turned around for them to start looking like a threat again.
No. 12 - San Diego Padres
No team may have needed a winning week more than the Padres. After a 4-13 fall, they were able to get things corrected and hold the final wild card spot in the National League. Given how hard that fall felt, they should definitely be happy things aren't any worse.
As we talk about teams being in the starting pitcher market at the deadline, San Diego should certainly be a franchise that's looking for a starter. While they've got a couple of their main guys on the IL, they definitely should aim for some upgrades. That would go a long way not only in making it as a wild card but would help out in a playoff run as well.
No. 11 - Chicago Cubs
You can't expect to be taken seriously as a contender in the national league if you're going to lose a series to the 2026 Colorado Rockies. The rebound against the Giants was solid, but the Cubs have to start taking things a bit more seriously if they want to be viewed as a threat again.
At the very least, Pete Crow-Armstrong is looking like the version of himself that was competing for the NL MVP. He's hit for a 224 wRC+ over the last 14 days, easily leading the Cubs in homers and runs. He and the Cubs will get their chance at revenge as they open up the week by hosting the Rockies at Wrigley on Monday.
START US OFF, PETE.

No. 10 - Chicago White Sox
You're seeing this correctly. We have the Chicago White Sox ranked higher than the Chicago Cubs. And it's been warranted too. The White Sox are tied for the AL Central lead, are just one of five AL teams with a positive run differential, and just took four of five from the Braves and Dodgers. They're for real.
A host of young hitters have been driving their offensive production, with the biggest contributions over the last two weeks coming from Miguel Vargas and Tristan Peters. They can't be overlooked any longer. In a very questionable American League, the White Sox are for real.
No. 9 - Seattle Mariners
It wasn't exactly the strongest week for the Mariners, but they still hold a lead in the AL West. It shouldn't be surprising to see them hold a lead, rather it's surprising that they haven't been better. Even in the past two weeks, they're top ten in ERA (3.97) and wRC+ (111). Yet they're 6-7 in that span.
Dominic Canzone has been doing all he can on the offensive side, hitting for a crazy 276 wRC+ with four homers over the last two weeks. That's going to help make things look good, but the Mariners need to find more ways to win games to feel safe atop the AL West.
No. 8 - Cleveland Guardians
A great start to the season by the Guardians, all of a sudden, is going to be clouded with doubt. That's thanks to a hand injury to Jose Ramirez that's going to potentially cause him to miss a month's worth of action. While he's had a bit of a down year by his standards (110 wRC+), he's still a key leader on this Cleveland squad.
The lineup will be put to the test to start the week with a tough matchup against the Brewers. Things may get easier against the Astros to end the week, but with the White Sox tied atop the AL Central, there's not much wiggle room for Cleveland to slack.
No. 7 - St. Louis Cardinals
With a 7-3 record over their last ten games, the Cardinals are looking very much the part of a threat in the National League. June has seen St. Louis turn the corner offensively, smashing for a 137 wRC+. With offensive potency being a question to start the season, this is a very welcome turn of events.
While Jordan Walker has been the offensive workhorse for the Cardinals all season, Alec Burleson has been phenomenal in June. He's hit for a 201 wRC+ and hit six homers. Walker's needed a running mate, and Burleson is more than happy to be that dude. The Cardinals are rolling and are a threat in the National League.
No. 6 - Philadelphia Phillies
After a 3-3 week, the Phillies still find themselves in possession of a wild card spot. They've done a lot of work to erase their devastating start, and they've been looking like a more serious threat in the NL.
But if this past week was a sign of anything, then they won't want to see the Brewers and Jacob Misiorowski any time soon. Now they'll be a measuring stick for everyone else in the NL East that's chasing them. They'll play the big brother role a lot over the next couple of weeks as they face a strictly NL East schedule.
No. 5 - Tampa Bay Rays
In late May, the Rays were sitting at 34-15 and looking like they could win the American League with an upstart roster. But now at 41-27, after losing a weekend series to the Angels, they look a little bit more formidable.
In June, the offense has hit for just an 86 wRC+ while the pitching staff has thrown to a 4.93 ERA. That's been very unlike what this Rays team has been this season. They need to turn it around, but they've got a really tough week ahead with the Dodgers and Nationals on deck.
No. 4 - New York Yankees
No Aaron Judge? No problem, apparently. The Yankees had a 5-1 week and hold a one-game lead over the Rays in the AL East. There's absolutely nothing else New Yorkers are totally stoked about this week, right?
June has been a month about the vets for New York, with Paul Goldschmidt (172 wRC+) and Trent Grisham (175 wRC+) providing some really efficient at-bats for the Yankees. They'll start the week against the White Sox in what's sure to be an exciting series.

No. 3 - Milwaukee Brewers
We mentioned earlier that the Phillies would like not to see Jacob Misiorowski on the mound again, but I think that pretty much every other MLB team that isn't the Brewers would think that. The 24-year-old looked every bit of a potential Cy Young winner on Friday as he threw a 95-pitch complete game shutout in which he notched 15 Ks.
That's an absolutely ridiculous stat line to have in 2026, but it's the kind of talent Misiorowski has. He and the rest of the Brewers' staff make Milwaukee a really tough team to face. Oh yeah, the offense is hitting for a 156 wRC+ in June as well. Good luck if they're on your schedule because you're going to need it.
No. 2- Los Angeles Dodgers
If anyone in the league could rival Misiorowski's phenomenal start on Friday, then it'd be LA's Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who flirted with a perfect game against the White Sox. Ultimately, he couldn't get the perfect game or the no-no, but it did end with a better result than the last time he lost a no-hitter bid against an American League team (Orioles fans, this one's for you).
The Dodgers also survived a scare when Shohei Ohtani simply had right knee inflammation and nothing else more serious when he was held out of Friday's game against Chicago. He and Yamamoto continue to drive LA's excellent pitching staff while the Dodgers look to become the first team to three-peat since the Yankees in 2000.
No. 1 - Atlanta Braves
Returning as our top seed is the Atlanta Braves, but the gap between them and LA is incredibly small right now. This week saw them go just 1-4 against the White Sox and Mets, in addition to seeing Ronald Acuna Jr. hit the IL again with a hamstring strain.
The offense as a whole has not been its normal self, hitting for just an 88 wRC+ in June. No, Acuna is going to hurt, but it's going to take all of Atlanta's lineup to really get back into the swing of things.
Though there isn't much wiggle room now, the Braves still hold the top seed in our rankings.
