Matt's wide receiver (WR) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 of 2025. His WR lineups advice for Week 15 fantasy football start/sit decisions.
In a week that saw Christian Watson, Ryan Flournoy, and Tim Patrick among the top-12 fantasy receivers, we learned an important lesson. Taking a chance on a flex play could be the difference between making your playoffs or being on the outside looking in.
However, that was the regular season. The stakes are much higher as we enter the first week of the fantasy playoffs. The only time to take a chance is when you face insurmountable odds.
Here are RotoBaller's Week 15 starts and sits at the wide receiver position.

Week 15 Starts - Potential Fantasy Football Booms
Jauan Jennings - WR, San Francisco 49ers vs. Tennessee Titans
Against a Titans defense that struggles against the pass, Jauan Jennings is a volume play with immense upside.
Over the last seven games in which Jennings has suited up, the 49ers pass-catcher has seen at least five targets in each contest. He has recorded seven or more targets in more than half of those games. For fantasy managers, the four touchdown grabs over the last five weeks are too good to ignore. Tennessee has allowed 14 touchdowns to opposing wide receivers through 13 games thus far.
Since Brock Purdy returned under center, Jennings has accounted for 21.8% of the 49ers' target share, 22.4% of the 49ers' reception total, 23.9% of the 49ers' receiving market share, and 40% of the 49ers' receiving touchdown share.
Jennings also has some added incentive this week. He sits 19 receptions, 142 receiving yards, and one touchdown away from $667,000 bonuses for each box he checks. There is a good chance he can hit two of those three this week. The Titans had been allowing 39.50 fantasy points per game before Jerry Jeudy scored 16.6 fantasy points last week.
In the four weeks before the Browns contest, Tennessee had surrendered 553 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 38 receptions.
Ladd McConkey - WR, Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Back in Week 1, when the Chargers faced the Chiefs, both Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen were viable fantasy options. In that contest, McConkey came away with six receptions for 74 receiving yards and 13.4 fantasy points. In comparison, Allen would add seven receptions for 68 yards and 13.8 fantasy points of his own.
Now, fast forward to Week 15. While Allen has somewhat slowed down, averaging 6.9 fantasy points per game since Week 8, McConkey has returned to a borderline WR1. He is averaging 13.7 fantasy points per game over his last eight contests.

Before the conclusion of Week 14, McConkey had averaged five receptions and 7.7 targets per game over his last 10 contests, once again returning to the top of the Chargers' passing game pecking order.
While McConkey continues his ascension into the elite fantasy receiver tiers after a slow start, the Chiefs defense has been descending in recent weeks. On the season, Kansas City has allowed 2.55 fantasy points per game to the receiver position. However, over the last four weeks, the Chiefs have allowed 39.10 fantasy points per game. Last week, Nico Collins himself had 121 yards on four receptions against this secondary.
Davante Adams - WR, Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions
I’m not sure why we are still getting questions as to whether or not we can trust Davante Adams in fantasy. All Adams has done this season is lead the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns in 13 games. I get those who continually call for touchdown regression, but it hasn't happened yet. The 55.4 receiving yards per game really doesn’t factor in all that much.
If you are one of those saying Adams can’t keep scoring touchdowns, may I introduce you to the Detroit Lions? Detroit has surrendered 20 receiving touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season (the second most in the NFL) and has given up seven receiving touchdowns to receivers over the last five weeks.
It doesn’t take someone with a master's in mathematics to figure out that if a player averages 1.08 touchdowns per game and faces a defense that allows 1.54 touchdowns per game to said player's position, then the probability of said player scoring once again is high.

On the season, Detroit has been the second-worst fantasy defense when facing the wide receiver position. It surrenders 38.46 fantasy points per game and allows 2,147 receiving yards. Over the last four weeks, it has been even worse with the Lions now allowing a league-high 40.18 fantasy points per game.
Week 15 Sits - Potential Fantasy Football Busts
DJ Moore and Rome Odunze - WR, Chicago Bears vs. Cleveland Browns
It really doesn’t matter if Rome Odunze plays or doesn’t play this week; fantasy managers cannot trust either of the perceived top options in the Bears' passing game to muster much fantasy production against this Cleveland Browns secondary.
Without Odunze last week, Chicago struggled to move the ball through the air against one of the best secondaries in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers. Luther Burden III was the top receiving option, hauling in four passes for 67 yards. Moore was in the receiving rearers with one catch for -4 yards.
Green Bay is good, but the Cleveland Browns are the best in the NFL. They limit their opposition to a league-low 165.2 passing yards per game and hold opposing fantasy receivers to 24.48 fantasy points per game. That is the fourth-fewest fantasy points allowed per game this season.
Since Week 5, it’s hard to trust either Bears receiver. Moore is the WR45, averaging 9.2 fantasy points per game, and topping 10 fantasy points just three times over his last nine games. As for Odunze, he missed last week's game due to a foot injury, and he has surpassed 10 fantasy points twice in his previous eight contests.
Bears receivers went into their Week 5 bye to recover and still haven’t woken from their hibernation.
Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson - WR, Arizona Cardinals at Houston Texans
Here are the facts. Since Week 9, Michael Wilson is the WR6 in fantasy, averaging 19.3 fantasy points per game. Last week against the Rams, he caught 11-of-16 targets for 142 yards and a pair of touchdowns. It was the third time in four weeks Wilson had 15 or more targets and 115 or more receiving yards in a game.
The one game Wilson failed to hit those video game-esque numbers was the one game over the last four weeks in which Marvin Harrison Jr. actually suited up. Since Week 9, when available, Harrison has been the WR14 in fantasy, averaging 16.6 fantasy points per game.
Here's another fact: In each game Harrison has played, Wilson has failed to score at least 10 fantasy points. His best outcome came in Week 9 at 9.1 points. Bottom line, we have yet to really see both receivers be productive when both are on the field. They are eating into one another's fantasy ceiling.
If Harrison’s potential return wasn’t bad enough, Arizona now faces a Texans team allowing the third-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers (26.01) this season. Last week, Rashee Rice was held to four grabs for 34 yards, and Xavier Worthy led with three receptions for 55 yards.
George Pickens - WR, Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings
Look, I get it. George Pickens is the WR5 this season and averaging 18.9 fantasy points per game, while CeeDee Lamb is the WR9, averaging 16.2 per contest. This Dallas Cowboys offense should be matchup-proof.
However, I have some reservations this week, as the Cowboys and that potent offense host Brian Flores and that pressure defense. You aren’t sitting Pickens or Lamb, but expectations should be somewhat tempered. Minnesota has surrendered a league-low 24.22 fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this season.
Over the last four weeks, the Vikings have allowed just 17.35 fantasy points per game, third-fewest in the NFL. They held Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel Sr. to seven receptions for 68 yards last week for a combined 13.8 fantasy points.
While McLaurin and Samuel are not in the same tier as Lamb and Pickens, 13.8 fantasy points would have only been good enough to finish as the WR19 last week. You’re starting your stars, but when the matchup is a risky one, it’s about risk management, especially in the fantasy playoffs. Fantasy managers should look to add higher-floor options alongside Pickens this week to limit that risk.
