Buy Low, Sell High - Week 7 Fantasy Football Trade Values and Avoids

Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Prioritize in PPR, But Fade in Standard Leagues (2025)

Fantasy football buy sell trade advice for Week 7 of 2025. Nathan's buy low, sell high Week 7 fantasy trade targets include Zay Flowers, Sam Darnold, and more.

We’re through the first third of the 2025 NFL regular season, and fantasy football has already been a rollercoaster. Every week brings a new twist that reshapes how managers view their rosters and the league as a whole.

From the New York Giants transforming from a bottom-tier offense to one of the most exciting units in football, to the Jets and Broncos' fantasy disaster in London, fantasy managers have to stay alert and be ready to adapt.

With injuries mounting, breakout players emerging, and trade rumors swirling, it’s the perfect time to reassess player values heading into the heart of the season. So here are three buy-low candidates and three sell-high candidates before Week 7:

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Buy-Low Trade Targets for Fantasy Football

QB: Justin Fields - New York Jets

New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields is coming off one of the worst performances by a quarterback in NFL history. In the Jets’ loss to the Denver Broncos, the offense finished with -10 net passing yards, a historically poor showing that exemplifies how bad things have gotten in New York.

The good news? It can only go up from here.

Despite his passing struggles, Fields remains a fantasy asset thanks to his elite rushing ability. He currently leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards per game (47.0) and is tied for third in rushing touchdowns (three).

The Jets offense will be without Garrett Wilson (knee) for a stretch, which certainly limits Fields’ ceiling through the air, but it could also force him to run even more often to generate offense.

Fantasy managers do have reason for concern, as the Jets are 0–6, and a potential benching could be on the table if the season continues to spiral. Still, Fields’ dual-threat upside and depressed fantasy value make him an intriguing buy-low target for managers willing to take the risk.

With a favorable schedule ahead and his unmatched rushing potential, Fields offers low-end QB1 upside at a bargain price.

RB: Isiah Pacheco - Kansas City Chiefs

It hasn’t been the dream start for Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco, who has totaled just 260 scrimmage yards and one touchdown on 61 touches through six weeks.

The running back by committee approach between Pacheco and Kareem Hunt has limited both players, as neither has surpassed 15 rushing attempts in a single game this season.

However, Week 6 may have marked a turning point for this struggling backfield. After Hunt out-snapped Pacheco in Week 4, Pacheco’s snap share has jumped up to 63% and 77% in the last two weeks, while Hunt’s has only seen 33% and 30% of the snaps.

Over the past three weeks, the Chiefs have averaged 31.7 points per game, the second-highest mark in the NFL, with Patrick Mahomes returning to elite form. As this offense continues to roll, Pacheco’s scoring opportunities should only increase.

Looking ahead, Kansas City faces defenses ranked 18th, 19th, and 27th against running backs. It’s been a frustrating start for Pacheco’s fantasy managers, but his recent workload and the Chiefs’ offensive resurgence make him a prime buy-low candidate heading into Week 7.

WR: Zay Flowers - Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers has cooled off after a hot start to the 2025 season. After an elite two-game stretch to open the year, Flowers has since averaged just 51 receiving yards per game, no touchdowns, and 7.1 half-PPR points per contest.

However, there’s a clear explanation for his decline.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and is expected to return after the team’s Week 8 bye. Without Jackson under center, Baltimore’s offense has fallen apart.

Since Week 4, the Ravens rank 31st in points per game (11.0) and 30th in passing yards per game (158.0). For comparison, through the first three weeks with Jackson healthy, they led the league in points per game (37.0) and ranked 14th in passing yards per game (208.0).

With Jackson’s return on the horizon, expect Flowers to reclaim his early-season form as the focal point of Baltimore’s passing attack.

While Flowers stands out as the premium buy-low option, the entire Ravens offense should be considered buy-low candidates as they get the two-time MVP back in action.

Sell Candidates for Fantasy Football Trades

QB: Sam Darnold - Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has continued his career resurgence, building on his impressive 2024 campaign. To start the 2025 season, Darnold has completed 70.8% of his passes for 1,541 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just three interceptions.

Darnold’s rebound has been one of the better storylines of the last two seasons, especially given his struggles during his time with the New York Jets. However, fantasy managers may want to cash out while his value is peaking.

The upcoming schedule is brutal. Darnold will face the No. 1 defense against quarterbacks in Week 7 before heading into the team’s bye. After a soft matchup against the Commanders in Week 9, he’ll face a top-11 defense against quarterbacks in every game through Week 16.

So far this season, Darnold hasn’t faced a single opponent ranked inside the top 10 in passing defense, meaning his early-season success has come against softer competition.

Efficiency has been the story of Darnold’s strong start, as he ranks fourth in touchdown rate and first in yards per attempt across the NFL. Darnold currently ranks 30th in pass attempts per game (26.8), so if his efficiency crashes, so will his fantasy value.

In single-quarterback leagues, Darnold’s trade value might not yield a major return, but in Superflex formats, his strong production and name value could fetch a league-winning piece. Now’s the perfect time to sell high before tougher matchups bring him back to earth.

RB: Kimani Vidal - Los Angeles Chargers

It was a breakout performance in Week 6 for Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal. The second-year back handled 21 touches for 138 scrimmage yards and a touchdown in a win over the Miami Dolphins, showcasing burst, vision, and efficiency in his first career start.

Vidal started in place of rookie sensation Omarion Hampton, who is expected to miss extended time with an ankle injury. He also fully took over the backfield from Hassan Haskins, but his grasp of the job is far from secure.

The Chargers could look to the trade market to replace both Hampton and Najee Harris (out for the season with a torn Achilles). If they proceed to add a proven starter such as Breece Hall or Alvin Kamara, or even a rotational back like Devin Singletary or Jerome Ford, it would likely crush Vidal’s rest-of-season fantasy value.

Fantasy managers should also note that Vidal’s breakout came against the second-worst run defense in the NFL. Opposing starting running backs have averaged 140.5 scrimmage yards per game against the Dolphins this year, so his production may not be as sustainable as it looks on paper.

Vidal has earned short-term streaming appeal as the clear lead back for now, but the combination of a possible trade addition and Hampton’s eventual return makes him a prime sell-high candidate heading into Week 7.

WR: Tetairoa McMillan - Carolina Panthers

Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan found the end zone for the first time in his NFL career in Week 6, continuing an impressive start to his debut season. The eighth overall pick has recorded 27 receptions on 48 targets for 380 yards and two touchdowns, ranking as the WR26 in half-PPR formats through six games.

While McMillan has been an exciting breakout for fantasy managers, his value could drop sharply in the coming weeks.

His recent success has come against two of the league’s weakest defenses, the Dolphins and Cowboys, both of which rank in the bottom three in yards allowed per game. From here, McMillan won’t face another bottom-10 pass defense until Week 15, signaling a tougher stretch ahead.

Compounding matters, the Panthers’ offense is getting healthier. Second-year receiver Jalen Coker is set to return, and Xavier Legette is already back in action. McMillan dominated early because both were sidelined, but with the full receiving corps active, target competition will increase significantly.

Even more concerning is the run-heavy direction of this offense. Rico Dowdle has erupted for 200+ scrimmage yards in back-to-back games, and with Chuba Hubbard expected to return in Week 8, Carolina will continue to lean on its ground game.

McMillan remains a talented and exciting rookie, but with a tougher schedule, a crowded receiver room, and a run-first offensive approach, he’s a strong sell-high candidate heading into Week 7.
