December in college basketball is the calm before the conference storm. Most teams take a break around finals, breaking up the month. We don't have a lot of marquee matchups that we did in November. It can feel dull to some, but this is the perfect chance to make cash in the college DFS game. We have some players on here that we don't normally see. That can result in some value that we don't usually have.
We start with Buffalo visiting Penn State. Bethune-Cookman heads to the Barn to take on Minnesota. North Florida is in the Vault to take on Nebraska. Cal Baptist is in Orlando to take on Central Florida. Middle Tennessee State is in Birmingham to take on UAB. Hofstra is in Jonesboro to take on Arkansas State. We end in Cincinnati with South Carolina State taking on Xavier.

The freshman class in college basketball this year is insane. Baldwin is another one of those freshman. What are his credentials? He has three double-doubles (points/assists) in the last four games. Yeah, he takes some bad shots. He's a freshman. He also makes tough shots and makes tough shots easier for his teammates.
Jordan Ivy-Curry, Central Florida ($7.2K)
Ivy-Curry is the best pure scorer on this team. When his shot is falling, he is capable of big DFS lines. The good news is that even when his shot isn't falling (he went 3-for-14 from the floor against Wisconsin), Ivy-Curry still finds a way to get a respectable stat line.
Connor Essegian, Nebraska ($6.2K)
Essigian has always been a good shooter off the bench. He was for Wisconsin, and that has carried over to Nebraska. The difference is that Nebraska didn't take him out of the game when he got hot. They left him out there against South Dakota, and he piled up 29 points. There is some risk here, but he's an elite shooter who could see more minutes for Nebraska.
Kamrin Oriol, North Florida ($4.5K)
Oriol has scored in double figures in five straight games, including games against Georgia and Georgia Tech (how about that eight-overtime game!). He should still be able to score on Nebraska, and he has proven to be a solid source of peripherals as well.

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($9.5K)
UAB senior Yaxel Lendeborg is a sleeper to know. The 6’9” forward is a well-built and mobile athlete who rebounds the ball at a noticeably high volume. Plays with a relentless motor, protects the rim and finishes aggressively through contact & traffic.

Unlike many smaller school prospects who made the jump to a larger school after successful NCAA Tournament games last year, Lendeborg stuck around in Birmingham. He's a double-double machine who got better in conference play last year. He has had some foul trouble recently, but if he can contain that, Lendeborg's ceiling is almost as high as Baldwin's.
Zach Freemantle, Xavier ($8.2K)
He's back! Freemantle missed last season with an injury and was one of my favorite sleepers before foot surgery cost him the 2023-24 season. He is showing the promise this year. Freemantle is averaging 15.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game so far this year. He finally got over that double-double hump against Michigan. He'll get another if he plays enough minutes in this one.
Kendal Coleman, California Baptist ($6.2K)
Coleman had decent numbers before the Acrisure Tournament in Palm Springs over the holiday, but he really made noise there. Coleman put up 46 points, 21 rebounds, two blocks, and an assist in his two games against SMU and Fresno State. I'm not sure UCF is markedly better than either team. He's a nice value play today.
Benny Williams, Central Florida ($5K)
There's not a lot of value in the bottom of the forward barrel today. Williams is one of the better options because he plays solid minutes for the Knights and has been in every game this year. He's a good shooter when he gets shots and is active on the boards. That's about all we can ask today.
