We had a few holiday tournaments kick up over the weekend, but now we're getting into them in earnest. Our early slate today features the first two games of the Maui Invitational and one of the games from the Sunshine Slam still going on in Daytona.
We begin with a huge one from Maui between Connecticut and Memphis. Next up is the Sunshine Slam game between Penn State and Fordham. We close out the early slate from Maui with Michigan State taking on Colorado.

Ace Baldwin Jr., Penn State ($9.3K)
Ace Baldwin has been one of the most underrated players in the country throughout his college career.

We saw a couple of games like that from Ace last year, but he had two big games in a row now. I worry about his production if this turns into a blowout, but Ace should be a cash game staple today. The upside is there unless this game isn't close.
Tyrese Hunter, Memphis ($7.1K)
Facing a team like UConn, I want the dog on the team. I want the guy who's crashing the boards and after every loose ball. That's Hunter. He can score, but I'm after the 4.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. He has a strong floor, which is essential against a team like Connecticut.
Javon Ruffin, Colorado ($5.2K)
The Colorado rotation is a bit in flux right now, but Ruffin has produced as a starter and off the bench. I don't know exactly what his role will be, but Ruffin is an efficient scorer and strong passer. He should have no problem hitting value at this price, even in as little as 20 minutes of court time.

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks
Tarris Reed Jr., Connecticut ($7.2K)
UConn fans will love this highlight reel of incoming transfer center Tarris Reed, who is 6-10, 265. Not as big as Clingan, but bigger than Sanogo and brings another huge presence in the paint. The Huskies coaches will undoubtedly help him improve, too. pic.twitter.com/y1EXN0Qyw8

We have seen the improvement already. Reed is averaging 11.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks in the first four games for UConn. His production has been just as good as Alex Karaban's at over $1K less.
Zach Hicks, Penn State ($6.9K)
Hicks has always been a bulldog on defense, but he has added more scoring this year. Before this season, Hicks averaged just shy of nine points per game in his first three years and was consistent in doing so (8.3 in 21-22, 9.6 in 22-23, 8.4 in 23-24). He has averaged 15.8 points in the early going. This doesn't look like a fluke. Hicks has been a difference-maker this year.
Andrej Jakimovski, Colorado ($6.3K)
Jakimovski was a sharpshooter for Washington State last year, but he has added some rebounding skills so far with Colorado. He plays the most minutes on the team on average and is getting around a dozen shots a game. Jakimovski can do a lot of damage with that kind of usage.
