Justin Carter's fantasy football WR waiver wire pickups for Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season. His free agent wide receivers to add, stream, and stash off waivers.

With last week in the rearview, it's time to look ahead to Week 12 with our wide receiver fantasy football waiver wire pickups. There are some good upside wide receivers out there on the waiver wire, so this is a good chance for you to bolster your fantasy lineup.

Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 12. Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups For Week 12

Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers - 54% rostered

All Romeo Doubs keeps doing is scoring touchdowns. With another one on Sunday, Doubs has now found the end zone in four of the last five games. He also went over 50 yards this week, something he hadn't done since Week 4. I've been skeptical of Doubs this season because the yardage just hasn't been coming, but you can't deny that he keeps getting to paydirt.

Noah Brown, Houston Texans - 49% rostered

Noah Brown missed this week's game with a knee injury, but everything coming out of Houston suggests that it'll be a short absence for Brown. Whether or not he's set to play in Week 12, you need to get him on your roster because he's had back-to-back games with over 150 receiving yards. C.J. Stroud loves to throw the ball to Brown, making him a WR3 option when healthy.

Odell Beckham Jr., Baltimore Ravens - 29% rostered

Count me among those who didn't think Odell Beckham Jr.'s past two weeks meant much. In Week 9, he caught five passes for 56 yards and a touchdown, but in Week 10 he was targeted just twice. Sure, he caught one of those for a 40-yard touchdown, but I thought the lack of usage was a sign that Week 9 was a fluke.

Well, I'm admitting I was wrong here. This week, Beckham was targeted seven times, tying his season high. He caught four of those for 116 yards, his first 100-yard game since Week 6 of the 2019 season. With Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor seeing just three combined targets, it's time to acknowledge Beckham is the No. 2 receiver at worst going forward.

Demario Douglas, New England Patriots - 32% rostered

Before the bye week, Demario Douglas seemed to establish himself as New England's top receiver. He was targeted nine times in Week 10, catching six passes for 84 yards. We still don't know who will be the QB for the Patriots going forward, but Douglas should see a good number of targets whether it's Mac Jones or Bailey Zappe in that role.

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - 50% rostered

Josh Downs was a popular waiver add back in Weeks 5 through 8, but his stock dropped a little because of a knee injury that limited him and then a Week 11 bye. The rookie is still an electric player when healthy and has a great shot to get back on track against Tampa this week. In fact, his upcoming schedule is really appealing for fantasy purposes.

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers - 36% rostered

The Packers did a good job getting the ball to rookie Jayden Reed, as he was targeted six times and also added three carries. One of those carries went for a 32-yard touchdown. Reed has 11 targets over the past two games and is playing some really exciting football right now. I'd have him higher in priority if his touchdown had come through the air—I just don't know how much we can extrapolate from a reverse when he hasn't been used that way most of the season.

Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns - 42% rostered

With Dorian Thompson-Robinson at QB, Elijah Moore had his best game of the year from a yardage perspective, catching six passes for 60 yards. He did a really good job getting open and making plays in the short passing game. However, I still just don't really know what to think of DTR. He had a good showing this week but really struggled back in his first start. Because of that, I'm still a little wary of this passing game, so Moore's not among my highest-priority adds.

 

Wide Receiver Deeper League Pickups For Week 12

Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - 11% rostered

The Bills had a new OC this week. Stefon Diggs had 27 receiving yards. Gabe Davis wasn't even targeted. Meanwhile, Khalil Shakir had three catches for 115 yards and a touchdown. I don't know if this is something that'll continue to happen, but he's worth adding because, to me, it's notable he had this increase in production the moment Joe Brady took over as the offensive coordinator.

Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals - 0% rostered

With Michael Wilson out this week with a shoulder injury, Greg Dortch saw a major increase in usage. Coming into this game, he'd been targeted just twice all season, but in this game he was targeted eight times. Dortch wound up catching six of those for 76 yards. I'm actually pretty interested in Dortch if Wilson misses more time. He's got some familiarity with Kyler Murray as he's been with the Cardinals since 2021 and has deep-league streaming appeal if Wilson is out again.

Robert Woods, Houston Texnas - 7% rostered

With Noah Brown out, Robert Woods was targeted eight times, his most since Week 5. He caught five of those for 44 yards. Houston's high-powered offense gives fantasy upside to anyone getting reliable snaps, so Woods is in play as a deep-league flex play next week if Brown is out again. If we get clear word before waivers run that Brown will be back, I probably wouldn't throw a claim in on Woods.

Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers - 0% rostered

Three games in a row with at least 49 receiving yards for Dontayvion Wicks, including three catches for 91 yards against the Chargers on Sunday. There are a lot of mouths to feed in the Packers passing game so I don't know how sustainable this is from Wicks, but he's worth adding in a 14-team league because of his upside.

Darius Slayton, New York Giants - 2% rostered

Tommy Devito had his best game this week, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns. 82 of those yards and one of the touchdowns went to Darius Slayton, who now has his second game with over 50 yards in the last three contests. Look: it's going to be tough to trust any Giants receiver in fantasy this year, but 16 targets for Slayton in the last three games gives me at least some interest here.

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders - 1% rostered

Hunter Renfrow had his best game of the season this week, catching five passes for 42 yards. With Aidan O'Connell looking really comfortable throwing the ball, there might be some upside in deep leagues here. Let's not forget that in 2021, Renfrow was a 1,000-yard receiver. He knows how to get tough yards.

Austin Trammell, Los Angeles Rams - 0% rostered

Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury in Week 11. With Kupp sidelined, Austin Trammell was some intriguing usage with six targets. He caught three of those for 23 yards. He's probably not worth adding, but in a 14-team league, I might grab him if we hear bad news on the Kupp ankle before waivers run.
