Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow enters 2026 as a high-end QB1 option after an injury-shortened season. Burrow played eight games in 2025, completing 173 of 259 passes for 1,809 yards, 17 touchdowns, and five interceptions while posting a 100.7 passer rating. He suffered a Grade 3 turf toe injury to his left foot in Week 2, underwent surgery, and missed nine games before returning late in the season.
The finish was encouraging, as Burrow was fantasy's QB5 from Week 13 through Week 18. Cincinnati remains a strong passing environment with HC Zac Taylor and OC Dan Pitcher back, along with star wide receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins locked into long-term deals, and the Bengals ranking second in the NFL in pass attempts last season. Chase Brown also gives Burrow a productive receiving option out of the backfield. Burrow is not a rushing-driven fantasy quarterback, but that has never been the foundation of his value.
He is currently going around 56th overall as the QB3 on Sleeper, while RotoBaller ranks him 68th overall and QB5. The price is aggressive, but Cincinnati's volume and supporting cast keep Burrow firmly in the high-end QB1 mix as long as he can avoid another major injury.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Since a top-five quarterback finish in 2023, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has finished as the QB17 (2024) and QB15 (2025) in total points. Because of his recent performance, Love is currently being drafted as the QB15 for 2026. Is it possible Love can return to an elite level after the team lost Romeo Doubs and now face major legal questions marks with Josh Jacobs?
The good news is that Christian Watson is healthy and now has a massive contract to be their WR1. Matthew Golden finally started looking like a first-round receiver at the end of last season. And Tucker Kraft appears to be on track to return from a torn ACL in Week 1. With all of his weapons deployed and ready, Love could vault back into the top ten on the back of his career 7.6 yards per attempt.
If Love can get anywhere close to his four rushing touchdowns from 2024, this could be a career year for the sixth-year veteran.
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts rebounded as a passer in 2025, but the rushing output took a hit, leaving him as the standard QB8 for total and per-game points. The entire offense took a step back, though they still relied on the Tush Push by the goal line, which resulted in Hurts scoring eight times on the ground (105 carries, 421 yards). But this followed his eclipsing double-digit rush TD with 139 or more carries in his four previous seasons.
This was joined by a 64.8% completion rate for 3,224 yards and a career-best 25 touchdowns and six picks, though he was middle-of-the-pack in most advanced passing metrics. And yet he was the QB3 through eight games, dipping to the QB10 after the Week 9 bye.
The question will be how the offense, now under another new coordinator in Sean Mannion, adjusts without A.J. Brown, with additions of Makai Lemon, Eli Stowers, Dontayvion Wicks, and Marquise Brown in tow. The upside and risk is balanced around a RotoBaller site rank and ADP around the 66th pick as the QB7 this summer.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert ended the quietest fantasy football dry spell at the position in 2025, posting his first top-10 positional finish (QB9 at 18.3 FPPG) in three seasons. Long seen as a solid yet unspectacular option, Herbert's rise in fantasy production largely came from finishing second at the position in rushing yards (498) as he ran for his life behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL due to Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater's season-ending injuries at offensive tackle.
Those two's projected return in 2026 also comes with a change of scenery from Herbert's playcaller; Greg Roman was dispatched after a dismal playoff showing against the Patriots. Ex-Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was tabbed to replace him. McDaniel, one of the most clever play-designers in the NFL, guided Miami to two seasons of at least 23.8 PPG before injuries to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa mounted, so many are excited to see what he can do with the "6-foot-6" dual-threat.
Plus, the Chargers have a cabinet of weapons, including running back Omarion Hampton, wide receivers Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, and Tre Harris, and tight ends Oronde Gadsden II and David Njoku. Especially after investing four draft picks into offensive line depth, the Chargers seem primed to thrive even if their star tackle duo struggles with health again. While a challenging AFC West schedule, which also left L.A. at a 24-day net rest disadvantage compared to its opponents, is an obstacle, reasons for optimism around one of the NFL's most talented passers are abundant.
In fantasy football, Herbert is currently in a defined third tier of quarterbacks by both Sleeper ADP (83.7) and in RotoBaller's 2026 PPR rankings (82nd; QB8), but it wouldn't be overly shocking if this is the year Herbert puts all the pieces together and legitimately contends for the NFL MVP award.
Drake Maye, New England Patriots
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye took advantage of an easy schedule and was excellent in his first year under OC Josh McDaniels' offense. Maye was second in MVP voting and threw for 4,394 passing yards and a 31:8 TD:INT ratio while rushing for 450 yards and four scores in 17 games last season. The North Carolina product also completed 72.0% of his passes, sixth-highest in NFL history. Under head coach Mike Vrabel, Maye led the Pats to a Super Bowl, but New England was crushed by the Seahawks 29-13.
The Patriots will look to make another run at the Super Bowl and bolstered their wide receiver depth. New England acquired A.J. Brown from the Eagles and signed free agent WR Romeo Doubs to a four-year, $68 million contract this offseason. With the additions of Brown and Doubs, Mack Hollins, DeMario Douglas, and Kyle Williams are also returning. Still, the Patriots did move on from Stefon Diggs, who logged 1,013 receiving yards last season. The Patriots will have a much tougher schedule this season, but everything is set for Maye to have another strong fantasy season in 2026.
Bills star quarterback Josh Allen has been the fantasy QB1 the past few seasons, but with the addition of Brown and Doubs, can Maye overtake Allen? Not quite yet, as RotoBaller ranks Maye as the fourth-overall QB while projecting him to throw for 4,772 yards and 32 scores in 2026. Once Allen is off the draft board, Maye could be the next QB called by fantasy managers in upcoming drafts, as he is set to build off last year's incredibly efficient campaign.
