NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (3/4/24)

Kyle Kuzma - Fantasy Basketball Rankings, DFS Picks, NBA Injury News

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Mike Barner's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on March 4, 2024.

The NBA brings six games to the table on Monday. DraftKings will include all six games in their main slate, but FanDuel has decided to leave out the Kings against Bulls and the Lakers versus Thunder games from theirs.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan, and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord, where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/4/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:30 p.m. EST on FanDuel and DraftKings. Good luck, RotoBallers!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Let's first take a look at our premium projections to see who we want to target for our top spend-ups tonight.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dominated against the Suns on Sunday, producing 35 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and three blocks over 38 minutes. He has scored at least 30 PTs in eight straight games, averaging 33.0 PTs, 5.5 REBs, 6.4 ASTs, 1.6 STLs, and 1.4 BLKs during that span. Despite his hefty salary, his consistency makes him a stellar option on DraftKings.

There is a lot to like about the matchup between the Wizards and Jazz. Both teams rank inside the top-10 in the league in pace and play and inside the bottom-six in defensive rating. For the Wizards, Kyle Kuzma comes with tremendous upside. Their fast play and his 30.0 percent usage rate have propelled him to average a career-high 22.2 PTs per game.

The Jazz are going to be shorthanded with Lauri Markkanen (quadriceps) and Walker Kessler (foot) out. Expect them to rely heavily on John Collins, who has already averaged 15.3 PTs, 10.3 REBs, and 1.9 ASTs across their last 12 games.

    1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC at LAL – PG ($10,700 DK; NA FD)
    2. Kyle Kuzma, WAS at UTA – PF/C ($7,400 DK; $8,400 FD)
    3. John Collins, UTA vs. WAS – PF/C ($6,500 DK; $6,800 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

The Bulls have no choice but to play Ayo Dosunmu significant minutes. Their depth chart has been hammered by injuries, and it’s not getting better anytime soon. Over the last 14 games, Dosunmu has logged an average of 14 minutes. He hasn’t let his opportunity go to waste, averaging 15.8 PTs, 3.5 REBs, 4.6 ASTs, and 1.1 STLs during that span.

Going back to the Jazz and Wizards game, Taylor Hendricks also has the potential to provide significant value. He has started each of the last five games and should play even more with Markkanen and Kessler sidelined. As for Corey Kispert, he has added playing time down the stretch for the Wizards has enabled him to average 16.5 PTs and 2.8 three-pointers over the last 13 games.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Ayo Dosunmu, CHI at SAC – PG/SG ($5,700 DK; NA FD)
  2. Taylor Hendricks, UTA vs. WAS – PF ($4,900 DK; $5,300 FD)
  3. Corey Kispert, WAS at UTA – SF/PF ($4,800 DK; $5,500 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

Working our way down the salary scale from Gilgeous-Alexander brings us to Keyonte George. The Jazz have a lot of faith in their rookie guard, installing him in their starting five after the trade deadline. Since making that move, he has averaged 17.3 PTs, 2.8 REBs, and 5.9 ASTs over eight games.

There isn’t much to get excited about with the Grizzlies right now because of all of their injuries. However, a limited depth chart means the potential for value in DFS. One name that stands out as a potential value option is Jordan Goodwin. He has used added playing time to average 7.5 PTs, 5.8 REBs, 5.3 ASTs, 2.3 STLs, and 1.3 BLKs over his last four games.

Top PG Options:

  1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at LAL, ($10,700 DK; NA FD)
  2. Keyonte George vs. WAS, ($6,300 DK; $6,500 FD)
  3. Jordan Goodwin at BKN, ($5,600 DK; $5,900 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

Markkanen is averaging 23.1 PTs per game, so his absence will leave a significant void in the Jazz’s scoring attack. One player who is never shy about jacking up shots is Collin Sexton. His 27.6 percent usage rate is already the highest mark on the team, so the possibility of even more scoring opportunities could lead him to dominate the defensively-challenged Wizards.

If there is a bright spot on the Grizzlies, it’s the play of Vince Williams Jr. He has thrived since becoming a starter, averaging 14.2 points, 6.1 REBs, 4.9 ASTs, and 1.3 STLs over 23 games. His rebounding prowess could be especially beneficial for his DFS upside, given that the Nets have allowed the ninth-most rebounds per game in the league.

Top SG Options:

  1. Collin Sexton vs. WAS, ($6,900 DK; $7,400 FD)
  2. Vince Williams Jr. at BKN, ($6,800 DK; $7,300 FD)
  3. Ayo Dosunmu at SAC, ($5,700 DK; NA FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

DeMar DeRozan is the driving force behind the Bulls. The veteran has been playing a ton, averaging 38 minutes per game for the season. The last time he faced the Kings, he produced 24 PTs, seven REBs, six ASTs, and four STLs over 39 minutes. With all of the minutes he plays, expect him to have a high floor in their rematch.

Kispert has the makings of one of the best values at the small forward spot, but Malik Monk is also a viable mid-tier option. He has benefited from De'Aaron Fox (knee) missing the last two games, but he has been playing well for most of the season as the Kings’ main scoring option off the bench. The last time he faced the Bulls, he roasted them for 22 PTs, five REBs, and seven ASTs.

Top SF Options:

    1. DeMar DeRozan at SAC, ($7,700 DK; NA FD)
    2. Malik Monk, vs. CHI, ($6,500 DK; NA FD)
    3. Corey Kispert at UTA, ($4,800 DK; $5,500 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

After already making a case for Kuzma and Hendricks at the power forward spot, Jalen Williams is also a viable option on DraftKings. Like Gilgeous-Alexander, he has been a model of consistency. Across his last 12 games, he has averaged 21.9 PTs, 3.8 REBs, and 4.7 ASTs.

Top PF Options:

  1. Kyle Kuzma at UTA, ($7,400 DK; $8,400 FD)
  2. Jalen Williams at LAL, ($7,300 DK; NA FD)
  3. Taylor Hendricks vs. WAS, ($4,900 DK; $5,300 FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

Domantas Sabonis has been a triple-double machine this season. He has recorded one in nine of his last 14 games. That included when he produced 13 PTs, 14 REBs, and 10 assists against the Bulls. For those looking for a safe option at center, look no further than Sabonis.

It’s going to be difficult to pass up on Collins based on his matchup and the Jazz being shorthanded. However, those looking to fade him in tournament play should also consider Marvin Bagley III if they are looking for a mid-tier center. The Jazz will be lacking size up front, and Bagley has already averaged 13.9 points and 9.5 rebounds over his last eight games.

Top C Options:

  1. Domantas Sabonis vs. CHI, ($10,500 DK; NA FD)
  2. John Collins vs. WAS, ($6,500 DK; $6,800 FD)
  3. Marvin Bagley III at UTA, ($6,100 DK; $6,900 FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Wizards at Jazz (239 total)
  2. Thunder at Lakers (239 total)
  3. Bulls at Kings (227.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. I’m staying away from the stars on the Timberwolves. They could blow out the Trail Blazers, so they might not see much action in the second half.
  2. There also isn’t much to get excited about with the Trail Blazers. They have the second-worst offensive rating in the league and will be facing a Timberwolves team that has the best defensive rating.
