FAAB Auction Bidding: Week 10 Waiver Wire Targets

Max Petrie FAAB auction bidding prices for Week 10 fantasy football waiver wire targets. Many leagues in 2016 use auction FAAB bidding for waivers, this is your guide.

Welcome to Week 10 of the fantasy season, and my column on recommended FAAB auction bidding for Week 10's waiver wire. If you're still reading, congrats. It means you're still in the playoff hunt in your league. Or you're team is cooked and you're looking to play spoiler, I say touche.

Once again, we have some injuries to report, although there were no major names. Jeremy Maclin (groin), Allen Hurns (concussion), Victor Cruz (ankle) all left their respective games while Derrick Henry (calf) was ruled out in pre-game warmups.

Let’s look around the league at who is worth a bid going into Week 10. Each price recommendation will be based on a $100 FAAB budget. Be sure to also check out our weekly waiver wire analysis columns, with in-depth analysis for all Week 10 options.

FAAB Waiver Wire Bids - Running Backs

If Tim Hightower (43%) is still available in your league, he is the No. 1 add.

Kapri Bibbs (DEN, RB) - $12-16

5% owned in Fleaflicker

We mentioned Bibbs in this section last week as a handcuff, but now he deserves your immediate attention. Yes, Devontae Booker out-touched Bibbs 11-3, but Bibbs had the biggest play for Denver, turning a screen pass into a 69-yard scamper. He finished with 80 total yards in a game the Broncos offense never got going, but he made his case for future touches. Speaking on Monday coach Gary Kubiak said Books earned more playing time and this week is perfect timing to build on Week 9. The Broncos play the Saints in the Superdome, a defense that is ranked 28th versus the run according to Football Outsiders. Bibbs is a FLEX option heading into Week 10 who would become a RB2 should Booker lose the starting role.

DuJuan Harris (SF, RB) - $8-10

10% owned in Fleaflicker

Harris was a popular weekend add in fantasy leagues as the news of Carlos Hyde (shoulder) missing Week 9 spread, and those who gambled were rewarded. Harris had 10 carries for 59 yards and five catches for 83 yards including a 47-yard screen touchdown. It's safe to say Harris has supplanted Mike Davis and Shaun Draughn as the No. 2 back, and early reports are Hyde may miss Week 10. If Harris starts at Arizona, it will be a difficult matchup but he should see enough volume to be a RB2.

Chris Ivory (JAC, RB) - $2-4

58% owned in Fleaflicker

Ivory finally had the game fantasy owners envisioned when they invested, carrying the ball 18 times for 107 yards. He had some aggressive runs, including an impressive 42-yard run versus a talented Chiefs defense. The bad news is he fumbled a goal-line opportunity in the fourth quarter, but the increased usage is promising. This was the first game under new OC Nathaniel Hackett, and one of the key issues with Gus Bradley was a lack of a running game. Ivory is line for another solid game versus a Texans defense ranked 26th versus the run. Ivory is back on the RB2/FLEX map and needs to be added.

Also Consider: Paul Perkins (NYG, RB) - $4-7; Thomas Rawls (SEA, RB) - $3-5; Ronnie Hillman (MIN, RB) - $1

FAAB Waiver Wire Bids - Wide Receivers

Rishard Matthews (TEN, WR) - FAAB Bid: $8-12

46% owned in Fleaflicker

We know DeMarco Murray dominates the Titans offense, but is it time to invest in the passing game? Matthews has now put up useful fantasy lines in five of his past six games, capped by his latest outing at San Diego (10 targets, six catches for 63 yards, 2 TD). He now has a touchdown in four of his past five games and five total in that span. The Titans get the Packers next, who can be beaten via the air. Matthews has proven he carries a solid enough floor to be deployed as a WR3 in all formats.

Eli Rogers (PIT, WR) - FAAB Bid: $4-7

9% owned in Fleaflicker

Rogers was a popular pickup after the Martarvis Bryant news to start the year but fell out of the limelight quickly. Thanks to a lack of options, Rogers is coming back into the fold and had a huge Week 9. He saw 10 targets and reeled in six for 103, playing primarily from the slot. Markus Wheaton has not shown improvement from his rookie season and Darrius Heyward-Bey was injured in Week 9. With the return of Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers offense should once again be a top 5 fantasy unit. Any time you can invest in 91% of leagues is worth a gander. Add away.

Marqise Lee (JAC, WR) - FAAB Bid: $4-7

14% owned in Fleaflicker

The Jaguars have supplanted the Browns as the garbage time unit in 2016, and Lee has shown to be a major benefactor. Lee saw eight targets and caught four for a team-high 84 yards on Sunday, adding 11 yards in the running game. Lee has now seen at least six targets and 61 yards in three of his past four games. Allen Hurns may miss Week 10 with a concussion, allowing Lee to step into the No. 2 role. The Texans are a strong pass defense unit, but the fact Lee should see 6+ targets makes him a WR3 play in Week 10.

Kenny Britt (LA, WR) - FAAB Bid: $5-8

55% owned in Fleaflicker

Britt has been mentioned here numerous times, so here is your final warning. Britt continues to act as the No.1 WR for a Rams offense that refuses to run the ball, but Britt owners won't complain. Britt has three touchdowns in his past three games and has produced double-digit fantasy points in four of his past five games in PPR formats. Next up is a Jets defense ranked 31st versus the pass, and Darrelle Revis has shown a noticeably slower step this year. Britt is a strong WR3 option.

Also Consider:  Adam Humphries (TB, WR) - $3-5, Taylor Gabriel (ATL, WR) - $1-3, Brian Quick (LA, WR) - $2-4

FAAB Waiver Wire Bids - Tight Ends

If Antonio Gates (72%) is available, he is the No. 1 option this week.

Jason Witten (DAL, TE) - FAAB Bid: $5-7

82% owned in Fleaflicker

This is more a warning than a recommendation. While Witten did put up an impressive Week 9 line (8-134-1), it was his first 100-yard game since 2013 and it was the Browns. Yes, he does have touchdowns in consecutive weeks and the Cowboys are firing on all cylinders. But Witten had only eclipsed 50 yards twice before Sunday and it remains the Ezekiel Elliot show. Witten gets the Steelers next week who rank 13th versus the tight end. Witten is a TD-dependent play going forward.

Zach Ertz (PHI, TE) - FAAB Bid: $2-4

66% owned in Fleaflicker

Numerous owners bailed on Ertz after a disappointing start to the season and were experiencing major tilt on Sunday. He saw eight targets and caught them all for 97 yards, all season highs. The Eagles made it a focal point to get Ertz involved early, and rightfully so. When healthy Ertz has exhibited top-5 TE ability. The Eagles are loosening the reigns on Carson Wentz and should continue to utilize Ertz going forward. He gets a Falcons defense that allowed a touchdown to tight ends in two of its past three games. Ertz is a TE1 this week.

Also Consider: Vance McDonald (SF, TE) - FAAB Bid: $1

FAAB Waiver Wire Bids - Quarterbacks

Joe Flacco (QB, BAL) - FAAB Bid: $1-2

44% owned in Fleaflicker

Rostering anyone in a Thursday night game is frightening, but a date with the Browns is too good to pass up. Flacco threw for 302 yards and two scores in their first matchup in Week 2 and this time he'll be at home where he has yet throw an interception. Steve Smith should be back to roast on the Browns defense ranked 30th versus the pass. Flacco is on the QB1 map in Week 10.

Carson Wentz (QB, PHI) - FAAB Bid: $1-2

46% owned in Fleaflicker

I mentioned Wentz earlier and he's worth considering this week. Wentz has now thrown for 40+ attempts in consecutive games and had a season-high 364 yards last week. The Eagles have abandoned Ryan Matthews, and his replacement Darren Sproles is best utilized in the pass game. Wentz should continue to see high usage and gets a Falcons defense ranked 22nd versus the pass.

Also Consider: Colin Kaepernick - $1

FAAB Waiver Wire Bids - Defense

Ravens D/ST - FAAB Bid: $4-7

39% owned in Fleaflicker

A date with Cody Kessler at home? Terrell Suggs is back? Sign me up.

Chargers D/ST - FAAB Bid: $1-3

46% owned in Fleaflicker

The Chargers continue to be a fantasy factory, scoring two defensive touchdowns on three turnovers. The Chargers also were effective in limiting DeMarco Murray (51 yards) and should give Jay Ajayi the same treatment. That will force Ryan Tannehill to make plays with his arm, which is fantasy goodness for defenses. Stream away.
