Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Monday 5/24

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 5/24/21. Frank Ammirante identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to the another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs.

Each day RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from Yahoo! leagues.

Today we have an 8-game slate, giving us a more shallow pool of streamers.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 5/24 - Shallow Leagues

Robbie Grossman (OF, SHB, DET) - 55% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CLE LHP Sam Hentges

Grossman continues to deliver, putting up three multi-hit games in his last four. He's slashing .259/.384/.432 with five home runs and seven stolen bases. Grossman has been better against lefties this year, posting a .302/.404/.488 slash with one homer and one steal. He has a good matchup against Hentges, who has given up 23 hits in only 15.1 innings. Hentges has major control issues, walking nine hitters in his last three starts, spanning 9.2 innings.

Miguel Rojas (SS, RHB, MIA) 50% Rostered

Matchup: vs. PHI RHP Zach Eflin

Rojas has swung the bat pretty well of late, going 12-for-48 (.250) with eight runs, one homer, five RBI, and one stolen base in his last 11 games. While it's a tough matchup against Eflin, who does a great job limiting walks, he does allow his fair share of hits: six or more hits allowed in seven of his last eight starts. Rojas has been a fixture at the top of the order for the Marlins, so he's in a good spot here.

Ryan Mountcastle (1B/OF, RHB, BAL) 41% Rostered

Matchup: at MIN RHP Matt Shoemaker

Since April 25th, Mountcastle is slashing .258/.277/.416 with three home runs in 94 plate appearances, bumping his average from .167 to .227 in that span. Mountcastle has gone 7-for-23 (.304) with one homer and eight RBI in his last six games. He has an excellent matchup against Shoemaker, who has put up a .390 xwOBA (6th-percentile) and 6.47 xERA. Mountcastle has a great chance to hit a homer in this one.

Niko Goodrum (1B/2B/SS/OF, SHB, DET) - 26% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CLE LHP Sam Hentges

Goodrum is another Tiger to use against Hentges, as the versatile infielder provides positional flexibility with category juice (four home runs, seven stolen bases). Goodrum is a career .363 wOBA hitter against lefties, so he's in a prime position for production in this matchup. He's hit anywhere from the fifth-to-seventh slot in this Tigers lineup, but I can imagine that he'll hit higher given the strong platoon splits.

Hitter Streamers for 5/24 - Deep Leagues

Jurickson Profar (2B/OF, SHB, SD) 19% Rostered

Matchup: at MIL RHP Brandon Woodruff

Profar has a very difficult matchup against one of the best pitchers in baseball in Woodruff, but this is a bet on a hot hitter who has found his way to the top of one of the most exciting lineups in MLB. Profar has hit in the two-hole for three consecutive games. He's gone 10-for-29 (.345) with nine runs, two RBI, and two steals in his last seven games. Don't worry too much about the matchup here, ride the wave with the hot hitter.

Freddy Galvis (2B/SS, SHB, BAL) - 10% Rostered

Matchup: at MIN RHP Matt Shoemaker

Galvis is another Oriole to use against Shoemaker, as the veteran infielder is coming in hot, going 7-for-26 (.269) with six runs, two homers, and five RBI in his last seven games. Galvis has hit in the top six of the Orioles lineup in eight of his last nine games. While he doesn't have much power upside, he should be able to get on-base in this one. Fire him up to pair with Mountcastle and Hays if you're stacking Orioles in DFS.

Jonathan Schoop (1B/2B, RHB, DET) 7% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CLE LHP Sam Hentges

Schoop is another Tiger to pair with Grossman. The veteran infielder is starting to pick it up lately, going 10-for-35 (.286) with three runs, one homer, and six RBI in his last eight games. Schoop has mostly hit in the two or five hole in this Tigers lineup, putting him in a prime position for run production. While the Tigers have struggled vs. lefties as a team, the matchup against Hentges is too good to pass up.

Edmundo Sosa (SS, RHB, STL) 1% Rostered

Matchup: at CHW RHP Lance Lynn*

Lynn is projected to start tomorrow, but it's not confirmed yet, so we'll put an asterisk. Even with a potentially tough matchup with Lynn, it's worth it to fire up Sosa because he's been red-hot, going 10-for-17 (.588) with six runs in his last five games. While he's hit in the bottom-third of the lineup, rotating between the seventh and eight spot, we still need to ride the wave with a hitter who's swinging the bat as well as anyone right now.

Pitcher Streamers for 5/24 - Shallow Leagues

Spencer Turnbull (RHP, DET) - 37% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CLE

Turnbull is rolling right now, coming off a no-hitter against the Mariners. In his last two starts, he's allowed one run on six hits while walking three and striking out 16 in 15.1 innings. He takes on an Indians lineup that just lost slugging outfielder Franmil Reyes to injury. This is one of the weaker offenses in baseball, so we can continue riding the hot streak with Turnbull.

Pitcher Streamers for 5/24 - Deep Leagues

David Peterson (LHP, NYM) 12% Rostered

Matchup: vs. COL

It's always a good idea to stream against the Rockies in their first game following a home series at Coors. Peterson has shown some upside this season, tallying eight or more strikeouts in three outings. He should be able to turn in a quality outing against the Rockies. This is a lineup to exploit whenever they're away from Coors, especially in the first game of a road trip.
