Recent Update

4/19:Baltimore Orioles second baseman Jonathan Schoop is off to a nice start to the 2017 season. Against the Reds on Tuesday, he finished 1-for-4 with an RBI single, pushing his hit streak up to six games. On the young season, his slash line is now .286/.311/.500 with two home runs and seven RBI. Among second baseman, he is in the top 10 in runs scored, home runs, and RBI in the early going. Second base is a deep position, so those who waited and took Schoop late have to feel good about his production so far. His on-base percentage won’t be too high thanks to his high strikeout rate, but the power will be there for him all season.--Ben Ruppert - RotoBaller
