DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Saturday Evening Slate (9/6/25)

Jordyn Tyson - College Football DFS Picks, NCAA CFB Rankings

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday (9/6/25) evening slate in Week 2. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The "main" slate feels like the undercard today. The evening slate on DraftKings is loaded tonight! We are tipping the scales with nine games. A couple of these will be blowouts, but we have some nice ones on here as well, such as Michigan-Oklahoma, UNLV-UCLA, and Arizona State-Mississippi State.

We have some teams that don't wind up on DFS slates very often, but at least they are all FBS teams. There are some expensive players in blowout games, so we'll have to be careful which players we use and find some value to pay up for a couple of guys.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the evening DraftKings slate on 9/6/25, starting at 7 pm Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower end. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Jackson Arnold, Auburn ($8.5K)

If Auburn is going to let Arnold run at will again (137 rushing yards against Baylor), he's a cheat code. I have a feeling that Auburn is going to run a more basic offense here to try to establish the run game and set Arnold up more in the passing game. That said, Ball State is bad on both sides of the ball. Arnold should have a few big plays before he retires for the night.

Avery Johnson, Kansas State ($7.6K)

This price feels low since the entire K-State offense is running through him right now. On top of that, Johnson has five passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown without a turnover in the first two games. That doesn't take into consideration his 591 passing yards. There's very little negative about Johnson.

Army has a solid defense and will stop the run as they always do. However, Johnson is proving that he can throw the ball with accuracy this season. He may flirt with 300 passing yards again.

Anthony Colandrea, UNLV ($5.5K)

There is absolutely no reason for Colandrea to be priced this low. UCLA's defense has been a mess for the better part of the last five years. Utah's Devon Dampier picked the Bruins apart last week until the lead was so large that he didn't need to play anymore.

UNLV's defense is an adventure, so this game should stay close. That only means more stats for Colandrea. I'll be shocked if he throws for under 250 yards.

Also consider: Jayden Maiava, USC ($9K); John Mateer, Oklahoma ($8.3K); Sam Leavitt, Arizona State ($7.2K); Dylan Lonergan, Boston College ($5K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Kyson Brown, Arizona State ($6K)

There's no reason to pay a premium for running backs on this slate. The sweet spot is between $5.5K-$6K. I can find at least five backs in this range that I will use. Brown is one of them.

The Arizona State first team got light work against Northern Arizona, but the one thing that really stood out to me was Brown's usage. He only had seven carries, but he caught six passes as well. Kanye Udoh is going to be the wrecking ball. Brown is the shiftier back with the receiving chops. That PPR bonus is really going to help this week.

Jai'Den Thomas, UNLV ($5.6K)

UCLA allowed an astonishing 286 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns to Utah. I realize that Utah has an elite line, but UNLV's line has looked solid so far as well. With Thomas's speed, he could be in for a monster day.

Jeremiah Cobb, Auburn ($3.4K)

Cobb is expected to get the start with Damari Alston ruled out for this game. I want to take this chance to thank Auburn for releasing this information. I speak for all DFS players when I say that we appreciate your honesty.

Cobb carried 16 times for 74 yards in the opener. He should have even more holes open against a porous Ball State defense.

Also consider: Waymond Jordan, USC ($7.1K); Justice Haynes, Michigan ($5.9K); Fluff Bothwell, Mississippi State ($4.8K); Anthony Woods, UCLA ($3.1K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State ($7.7K)

Week 6 of 2024 is when Tyson and Sam Leavitt really started to click. Tyson caught 12 passes for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns in what was light work for the ASU offense against Northern Arizona. Tyson got 17 targets in a game that Arizona State won big. He might get over 20 in a close game!

Deion Burks, Oklahoma ($6.9K)

I've waited almost two years for this! Burks has been hampered by injury and awful quarterback play since he transferred from Purdue in December of 2023. He caught seven passes on seven targets from John Mateer in the opener for 88 yards and a score.

Michigan's secondary is excellent, so that makes Burks a GPP-only play. If Oklahoma is going to win this game, the playmakers are going to have to step up. That means Burks. He's going to need to get into the end zone at least once.

Seydou Traore, Mississippi State ($4.4K)

Blake Shapen's favorite target was his senior tight end in the opener. This game will play much the same as the Southern Miss game did. Arizona State will keep everything in front of them, leaving dump-offs to the tight end as a heavy part of the offense. Traore is priced low enough that just a few catches will leave us happy with the return, even if he doesn't get much for yardage.

Jaden Bradley, UNLV ($3.8K)

Part of me thinks that UNLV is just going to keep running the ball because of UCLA's poor run defense, and that may be true. However, they'll try to hit the Bruins deep a few times to keep them off balance. Bradley has 12 receptions for 256 yards in the first two games. He's still going to be a big part of this offense, and like ALL of his teammates, he is really underpriced.

Keontez Lewis, Oklahoma ($3K)

Lewis wasn't just the best target in garbage time for the Sooners. He was targeted 11 times, leading the team in Week 1. He's not going to catch two touchdowns against Michigan (he likely won't even get one), but if Lewis gets around 10 targets again, he'll blow away value from a minimum-priced wideout.

Also consider: Germie Bernard, Alabama ($7K); Jayce Brown, Kansas State ($6.6K); Lewis Bond, Boston College ($6.4K); Omari Kelly, Michigan State ($4.1K); Marlin Klein, Michigan ($3.7K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

UNLV

This is by far the best stack, even if it wasn't based on price. I like Deshaun Foster. I liked watching him play, and I think he'll be a good coach. I just don't know if it will be at UCLA. I don't know if it's the coaches around him, the players, the scheme...whatever, but something is very wrong in Pasadena.

It's criminal that we can stack Colandrea, Thomas, and Bradley for just $14.9K. That leaves us $35.1K to pay up with at other spots. This is going to be a popular build, but I don't see a fourth option for UNLV that I trust yet. We'll have to get different with our secondary stack or run a bunch of elite one-offs.

USC

We learned that USC's offense won't let up, but this is a difficult stack. Our UNLV stack means we can afford anyone, but with this game likely to get out of hand again, do we use Jayden Maiava or freshman sensation Husan Longstreet? I would choose Maiava since Longstreet only threw nine passes, but he completed ALL of them.

Both Eli Sanders and Waymond Jordan will get enough work to pay off, but in a game like this, it's hard not to love the discount on Sanders. Makhi Lemon and Lake McRee were easily the favorite targets. You can run both of these stacks and still have $3.4K to spare.

Also consider: Auburn, Arizona State (GPP only)
