Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Top Fantasy Football WR Adds for Week 14 are Jalen Coker, Adonai Mitchell, Dontayvion Wicks, more

Dontayvion Wicks - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Alex's fantasy football WR waiver wire pickups for Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season. Free agent wide receivers to add, stream, and stash off waivers.

What's up, RotoBallers, and welcome back for another edition of fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups -- Week 14. This is it; only one game stands between (most of) us and the fantasy playoffs, so it's time to lay it all on the line -- taking whatever measures necessary to grab a victory and solidify your spot in the dance.

I've mentioned it before, but among all the surprises in 2025, the least pleasant has been the downturn in wide receiver production. Fantasy quarterbacks have taken a hit, too, but wideouts have seemingly felt it more intensely, with this campaign's PPR WR12 on a PPG basis (A.J. Brown) averaging two full fantasy points fewer (14.7) than last season's PPR WR12 (A.J. Brown [16.7]).

Fortunately, we've dug up a few more options for your waiver wire consideration that may prove useful just yet. As always, the prospective claims below are available in more than half of leagues and are listed in priority order for your convenience. As PPR is assumed, please check your league's settings before submitting a claim. Happy hunting!

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

Jayden Higgins, Houston Texans - 35% rostered

Houston picked up its fourth win in a row with quarterback C.J. Stroud back under center in Sunday's 20-16 defeat of the Indianapolis Colts. Stroud spread the ball around effectively, and rookie wideout Jayden Higgins again put together a productive outing.

Higgins played only behind Nico Collins in snaps for a fourth straight contest, posting another week of solid production. Despite tallying the third-most targets on the team (five), the 6-foot-4 wideout notched his highest receiving total of the season (65 yards), tying a personal-best with five catches.

Volume could be scarce for the 22-year-old at times, as Houston has oddly been more balanced with Stroud starting as opposed to the pass-happy mentality displayed with Davis Mills calling signals. However, Higgins has asserted himself as a strong secondary option early on in his tenure.

Higgins' ceiling may be capped, although he currently holds a decent floor. He'll get a stiff road test in the Kansas City Chiefs next Sunday night.

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers - 14% rostered

Carolina came to play this afternoon, ending the Rams' six-game winning streak with a 31-28 upset at home. Third-year signal-caller Bryce Young looked superb against a tough L.A. defense, tossing three TD passes for the second time in three games. This week, Jalen Coker got in on the fun, corraling his first touchdown since Week 15 of the 2024 campaign.

Coker was solid on Sunday, pacing Carolina in catches (four), yards (74), and targets (six). It marked the first time this season that the Virginia native led the team in receiving.

Interestingly, he did so on his lowest snap share since returning from a quad injury in Week 7 (54%). What's more puzzling is that he was out there on fewer plays than teammate Xavier Legette for the first time in five games.

The Panthers are still figuring it out on offense, and there are reasons to believe fantasy goodness can be had outside of rookie Tetairoa McMillan in the passing game. McMillan's presence may perpetually restrict Coker's upside, although I've always been a bigger fan of his than Legette, and Coker is settling into a nice groove.

Owners who can't afford holding the Holy Cross product through his Week 14 bye should check back on his availability following next weekend's slate of games. Young may continue building on his previous two outings.

Adonai Mitchell, New York Jets  - 2% rostered

Adonai Mitchell had trouble syncing up with Jets QBs during his first two appearances with the team, but that wasn't the case in Sunday's 27-24 win over the visiting Atlanta Falcons. The 23-year-old was uber-impactful on the afternoon, acting as the driving force of New York's offense as it picked up its third win of the campaign.

Mitchell had a career day in Week 13, setting personal-bests across the board with an 8/102 line on 12 targets, all while scoring the first touchdown of his career -- a 52-yard strike from quarterback Tyrod Taylor as he easily streaked down the field past his defender.

The former Indianapolis Colt was an out-route maven in the Jets' win, consistently working open on the perimeter and flashing his ability as a separator. I've always relished Mitchell's talent, so it was nice to see him finally notch a breakout game.

As exciting as the output was, it's only one standout performance against an up-and-down Falcons defensive unit. Moreover, Garrett Wilson (knee) could return as soon as Week 15, potentially limiting Mitchell's fantasy viability to one game. For now, fantasy managers can take a chance on him, as the volume has been there sans Wilson.

John Metchie III, New York Jets - 14% rostered

The Jets pulled out their third win of 2025 in Week 13 with a thrilling 27-24 home win over the Atlanta Falcons. After two promising starts, John Metchie III had trouble with drops in this one. That said, he was involved enough to matter moving forward for fantasy, even if the box score is unappealing.

The former second-round pick could only reel in four of his eight targets on the afternoon, posting a dreary 19 yards. It isn't the outcome owners expected, particularly following a combined 9/110/2 line over the previous two weeks.

Down game aside, only he and teammate Mitchell surpassed four targets on the day, and Taylor has been fine for the Jets offense in the small sample.

For what it's worth, I think both of New York's most recent acquisitions at wideout will have solid fantasy outings moving forward and boost the overall talent of the room significantly from where it was at the start of the year.

Mitchell probably has a higher ceiling, considering his athleticism and prowess as a downfield threat, though Metchie should find some value in PPR leagues, at least while Wilson is still shelved.

Andrei Iosivas, Cincinnati Bengals - 17% rostered

Owners who took a chance on Andrei Iosivas in running mate Tee Higgins' (concussion) stead were rewarded with a trip to the end zone. The Princeton graduate drew only one other opportunity in Cincinnati's 32-14 Thanksgiving win over Baltimore. Still, I'm willing to feature him here with the return of field general Joe Burrow to the Bengals lineup.

Iosivas has played a ton of snaps in 2025, but has posted one or fewer receptions in a game on seven occasions. With Burrow back, however, there's hope that he'll be useful down the stretch.

Iosivas has proved a reliable tertiary option alongside Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase in the past, and Cincinnati's attack is on the rise with Burrow in command. While Mitchell Tinsley has limited Iosivas' upside over the last few weeks, the latter shouldn't be threatened by his presence when Higgins rejoins the team.

Fantasy managers can turn to Iosivas in a pinch next weekend, particularly with four teams on bye. His upside isn't that of a week-winning asset, but he'll have a decent chance to produce fantasy value with the Bengals offense getting right.

Deeper Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Pickups

Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals - 10% rostered

Greg Dortch will appear here for the second feature in a row with the same caveat as the week prior. He'll only be worthy of a start if teammate Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) fails to suit up for another appearance.

Dortch slid back into a minimal role in Week 13, posting 14 yards on 2-of-2 receiving with Harrison back in the picture, a far cry from the back-to-back six-catch efforts the former registered in his two most recent appearances. However, Dortch's involvement could elevate again after the latter suffered an injury in the team's 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers.

It's unclear when Harrison suffered the heel issue that forced him from Sunday's contest, although it's notable he was unable to re-enter. Unfortunately, we won't know more about his status for Week 14 until later in the week.

With the Cardinals' playoff hopes in the gutter, it wouldn't be shocking for them to slow-play Harrison's recovery. If that's the case, Dortch would slip back in as the third receiving option behind wide receiver Michael Wilson and tight end Trey McBride, making this a situation to monitor over the coming days.

Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers - 1% rostered

Dontayvion Wicks is another case of a player whose talent I've always loved, but has been buried on a depth chart in a room full of other quality options, like Adonai Mitchell and his time with the Colts. Well, Wicks showed -- in spades -- why I'm such a fan of his, at least for one game, and led his team in nearly each significant receiving category.

Green Bay handed its division-rival Detroit Lions a 31-24 home loss on Thanksgiving while Wicks put on a show, snagging six of his seven targets for 94 yards and two of quarterback Jordan Love's four passing TDs. It was the Louisiana native's third career multi-touchdown effort.

Wicks has the potential to bottom out, and that's more true with teammate Jayden Reed (foot/shoulder) potentially set to make his first appearance since Week 2 in next Sunday's outing. While that would put a damper on the former's fantasy potential, the Packers are still looking for someone to step up as the "WR1" in the wake of tight end Tucker Kraft's (knee) ACL tear.

It isn't a stretch to say that Wicks is the best route runner of Green Bay's WR corps. It's also hard not to be at least a little excited about him following a game in which he made plays all over the field. He's a low-floor pickup for now with immense upside if he develops into Love's go-to guy.

Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints - 1% rostered

In a surprising Week 13 outcome, Devaughn Vele was New Orleans' leading pass-catcher in its 21-17 road loss to the Dolphins. Sunday's outing marked the third time that the second-year pro logged more snaps than fellow wideout Chris Olave. However, it was the first occasion he beat out Olave in the box score.

Vele sported strong output in the loss, recording team- and game-highs with an eight-catch, 93-yard performance. His eight looks were only one off tight end Juwan Johnson's top total of nine.

I've been following Vele since he flashed last preseason with Denver, and he was one of my favorite cheap trade targets this past offseason in dynasty leagues. His move to New Orleans was a clear downgrade at first, but the departure of ex-teammate Rashid Shaheed has opened up an opportunity.

It's unclear if Olave was hampered in this outing by back spasms he dealt with earlier in the week. Alvin Kamara's (knee/ankle) absence may have also contributed to Vele's elevated production. Even still, Kamara may be out for longer due to multiple injuries, and this pass attack is screaming for another reliable option to pair alongside Olave.

The 27-year-old can probably be avoided in 10-team formats for the time being.
