Cooper Kupp Top Landing Spots: 2025 NFL Free Agency Outlook

Cooper Kupp - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Which teams are potential landing spots for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp for fantasy football? Joey breaks down all the top landing spots for Cooper Kupp.

It was known earlier in the offseason that the Los Angeles Rams would move on from wide receiver Cooper Kupp at some point. That is set to become a reality when the new league year begins on March 12, as the Rams are set to release Kupp. That means the veteran wideout will be free to sign with any team in free agency.

Despite dealing with injuries and posting subpar numbers in each of the past three years, several teams should be interested in the 31-year-old wideout in free agency. He caught 67 passes for 710 yards and six touchdowns across 12 games with the Rams last season.

So, what are the best landing spots for Kupp? Let's dive in and look at five teams he could sign with in free agency.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers will be looking to upgrade their wide receiver room this offseason. Unfortunately, most of the top names are already off the board. DK Metcalf was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tee Higgins signed the franchise tag, Chris Godwin re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Davante Adams signed with the Los Angeles Rams.

As a result, the Chargers could be in on Kupp once he is finally released. Now, it remains to be seen how the veteran will fit in this Los Angeles offense, considering Ladd McConkey is the team's primary slot receiver. McConkey played the sixth-most slot snaps of any wideout last season. That is also the primary position the 31-year-old plays after logging 367 snaps in the slot in 2024.

However, expect the Chargers to find ways to utilize both playmakers if the veteran signs here. Kupp would also be a high-end WR3 in fantasy in this Los Angeles offense and should become Justin Herbert's second option in the passing game. This is a nice landing spot for the former Rams wideout on an offense with an elite quarterback.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders addressed their quarterback position this offseason by trading for Geno Smith. Following that big trade, though, the Raiders still have plenty of needs on the offensive side. One of those needs is wide receiver. Outside of Jakobi Meyers, the team lacks some talent at the position. Therefore, Kupp could be a real target for Las Vegas in free agency.

The Raiders still have over $48 million in cap space, and this landing spot would be a solid fit for both sides. For starters, Las Vegas would give Smith another weapon in the passing game. With Meyers, Kupp, and tight Brock Bowers, this offense should be better than it was a season ago. On top of that, the veteran would go to a place where he would likely be heavily involved.

If he does land here, the former Super Bowl MVP could be a high-end WR3 in fantasy. Smith has helped wideouts like Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have solid fantasy seasons in recent years, and Kupp could emerge as the top wide receiver in this Las Vegas offense.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have been very active in free agency so far, and don't expect them to stop. They have signed defensive tackle Milton Williams, cornerback Carlton Davis, linebacker Robert Spillane, and edge rusher Harold Landry. However, the team has yet to really address their offensive needs.

With Adams, Higgins, Metcalf, and Godwin off the board, the Patriots will likely turn to other wide receivers to upgrade that group. A veteran like Kupp could be the perfect addition to this team. He is an older wideout who could help develop quarterback Drake Maye. Oftentimes, those middle-of-the-field wideouts become security blankets for younger quarterbacks.

That's a large reason why the Patriots could go after him. Their current wide receiver room of Kendrick Bourne, Kayshon Boutte, and DeMario Douglas is also not good enough for next season. Although New England did sign wide receiver Mack Hollins to a two-year, $8.4 million deal in free agency, look for them to add a few more wideouts this offseason. Kupp is a possibility, and he would be a WR3 in fantasy.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are another team that should be in the market for a wide receiver. Outside of Courtland Sutton, the Broncos don't have the best-supporting cast for quarterback Bo Nix. While young wideouts like Devaughn Vele, Marvin Mims Jr., and Troy Franklin have shown some flashes in their short careers, Denver definitely needs a stronger WR2 in that offense.

Kupp could be the answer the team is looking for heading into the 2025 season. Denver is also expected to show some interest in the veteran wideout once his release becomes official, according to Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens. As a result, this is a possible landing spot for the former All-Pro playmaker. The Broncos would also be a solid landing spot for his fantasy value next season.

He would operate in the slot for this Broncos team and be that security blanket for Nix. The Broncos quarterback ranked 27th in air yards per attempt in 2024. That's actually good news for Kupp, considering he had a 7.6 target depth (ADOT) last season. So, he could emerge as a lower-end WR2 in fantasy in this Denver offense if he signs here.

Seattle Seahawks

This one might be more of a long shot, but we shouldn't rule out this landing spot for Kupp. The Seattle Seahawks need more wide receiver help after trading away Metcalf and releasing Tyler Lockett this offseason. Given that the Seahawks also just paid Sam Darnold $100.5 million over three years, the team should be looking to add more wide receivers to this offense.

Like the Chargers, there are some obstacles in adding Kupp to this Seattle offense since he plays the majority of his snaps in the slot. That's where Smith-Njigba took most of his snaps from in 2024. He played 74.3% of his snaps in the slot last year, and his 701 slot snaps were the most in the NFL. So, this landing spot might not even work out.

Nonetheless, there might be mutual interest for both sides. Kupp would return to Washington, where he played all four of his college years at Eastern Washington University, and the Seahawks would add more wide receiver talent for their new quarterback. That's why this landing spot makes sense. He would be a WR3 play in fantasy every week in this Seattle offense.
