Free College Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets, Expert Predictions (3/29/23)

Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets

Casey Wilson's top NCAA college baseball betting picks and best bets for today's NCAA Baseball games on 3/29/24. Casey's free picks include his preferred run lines, totals, money lines and parlays.

With Easter Sunday, we have many series that started on Thursday, so today is not our regular traditional Friday in college baseball. Today I have four teams that we have parlayed together in a round robin format. Instead of all combinations, we have just done combinations of two, hoping we get three of these teams to win for profit.

We have six bets that were posted last night for today in our Premium Discord for our members. If you want all my college baseball plays, I post all my bets in our Premium Discord daily. Use code CASEY to get 10% off any MLB Premium subscription, and you will also receive my daily bets.

This article will focus on money lines, run lines, totals, and often parlaying teams to get better odds. Not all books have college lines, so DraftKings Sportsbook and FanDuel Sportsbook will be my primary books. If you find a line in another book, feel free to use that as well. With no further adieu, here are my favorite bets for Friday, March 29, 2023.

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Louisville (16-9) @ #17 Florida State (20-3)

Projected Starters - Cardinals: Evan Webster | Seminoles: Jamie Arnold

Today, game two of the Florida State and Louisville series will be played after FSU captured game one of the series 8-3 last night. They will now turn to their ace, Jamie Arnold, to try to clinch the series. Arnold has been one of college baseball's best this year, posting a 5-0 record with a 0.52 ERA, .172 BAA, and a 53|7 K|BB. He has been elite and is right up there with the next arm in game two, which we will discuss for ACC pitcher of the year.

He will face Evan Webster, Louisville's best arm this season. Webster comes into play with a 2-1 record, 2.48 ERA, .245 BAA, and a 26|7 K|BB. This will be Webster's toughest test, facing the Noles at home.

The sensational Cam Smith leads Florida State. Smith is slashing .447/.513/.738 with eight HRs and 26 RBIs. He is one of the purest hitters in the country and, no doubt about it, a big leaguer. James Tibbs III has been the other standout in the Seminoles lineup, slashing .391/.487/.815 with 10 HRs and 38 RBIs. FSU is hitting .344 as a team this season with 48 HRs. Opponents are hitting .224 with 21 HRs.

I will be backing the Noles with one of the best pitchers in the country on the mound and at home.

Pick: Florida State Moneyline (-270) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

#14 North Carolina (22-4) @ #11 Wake Forest (17-7)

Projected Starters - Tar Heels: Folger Boaz | Demon Deacons: Chase Burns

We have game one of an awesome series in the ACC between two top-15 teams. Wake Forest has been very hot and cold to start the season, while North Carolina has been the more consistent team halfway through the season.

The Deacs will send Chase Burns to the mound, making his first Friday start of the season after working predominantly in the Saturday role. Anytime we have a chance to back Burns this season, we are going to, as this is the best pitcher in the country outside of Arkansas Hagen Smith. Burns this season is 5-0 with a 1.93 ERA, .152 BAA, and a 68|12 K|BB.

He has worked his way into a top-five pick in the MLB draft, and when the moment is bigger, he is at his best. Moving into the Friday role and facing a top-15 team at home today, I can see Burns having the best outing of his Wake Forest career, and yes, that is saying a lot after how great he has been.

Folger Boaz, the Tar Heels' ace, will oppose him. Boaz is talented but also a true freshman, and pitching in this atmosphere in front of many MLB scouts will create a massive moment for the young lefty. Boaz is 2-1 with a 4.66 ERA, .294 BAA, and a 27|14 K|BB. Will the moment be too big? I am not sure, but I'll bet on it to find out.

On the offensive side of the ball, there will be a ton of talent to look out for in this game. Led by North Carolinas Vance Honeycutt .316/.447/.643, Wake Forests Nick Kurtz .236/.494/.436 and Seaver King .311/.357/.547.

As I said earlier, anytime we get back, Burns was going to take it, no matter the matchup.

Pick: Wake Forest  Moneyline (-220) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

#22 Georgia (21-4) @ #5 Tennessee (22-4)

Projected Starters - Bulldogs: Charlie Goldstein  | Vols: AJ Causey

Our next matchup will also be game one of the series between Georgia and Tennessee in another top-25 showdown in the SEC this time. Tennessee at home has been a calling card for us the past two years, and it's no different as the Vols are 19-1 in Lindsey Nelson Stadium this season.

They will send their Friday guy AJ Causey to the bump; he has been sensational. Causey is 5-0 with a 1.91 ERA, .190 BAA, and a 44|6 K|BB. He has been the best arm on this Tennessee staff, which is littered with draft picks.

Opposing him will be lefty Charlie Goldstein, who has been a rotation mainstay for the Dawgs throughout his career. Goldstein enters today's start with a 3-0 record but a 5.16 ERA with a 28|11 K|BB. He has a career 5.14 ERA and has 47 career walks in 91 innings. Against this Tennesse team, allowing free bases at home can quickly turn with the power in this lineup.

Georgia is led by the best player in the country and, at the moment, the leader to win the Golden Spikes Award. Charlie Condon is slashing an insane .517/.637/1.213 with a nation-leading 17 HRs and 37 RBIs. The Dawgs have hit 74 HRs as a team, but if the Vols can contain Condon, there is not much more in this lineup outside of Slate Alford to beat you.

Tennesse has stars of its own with Christian Moore .350/.440/.720 with 10 HRs, Blake Burke .391/.467/.837 with nine HRs, and Kavares Tears .402/.495/.768 with eight HRs. They are hitting .329 as a team with 68 long balls and have contained their opponents to just a .219 BAA and 21 HRs. Billy Amick will be out of this series with a medical issue, and the Vols have struggled a bit against left-handed pitching, but Goldstein is nowhere near the talent of the others. I will always back the Vols at home.

Pick: Tennessee Moneyline (-230) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

#2 Oregon State (21-3) @ USC (10-15)

Projected Starters - Beavers: Jacob Kmatz | Trojans: Jared Feikes

The Beavers will square off against the Trojans, LMAO (yes, I'm a child), in game two of a three-game set after USC took game one behind ace Caden Aoki 2-1 last night. This series is being played at UC Irvine, as USC does not have a home field this season. For those of you who know me, you know my love for this Oregon State team. This is my pick to win the College World Series and my pick for the best team in the country.

Tonight, their ace and star Jacob Kmatz will toe the rubber, and when Kmatz or Aiden May pitch, we slam this team. Kmatz is 3-0 with a 2.08 ERA, .206 BAA, and a 31|9 K|BB. He has been tremendous this season for the Beavers. Bridger Holmes is the elite closer for the Beavers. He has four saves on the season and is yet to allow a run.

The offense is one of the best in the country. The team is slashing .323/.446/.595 with 47 HRs. My projected number one overall pick, Travis Bazzana, led the bats, slashing .468/.587/1.043 with 14 HRs and 36 RBIs. He is the best player in the country and hit six home runs last weekend.

Oregon State is coming off a loss with their ace on the mound. This is my favorite bet of the night.

Pick: Oregon State Moneyline (-330) DraftKings Sportsbook
