Free College Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets, Expert Predictions (4/14/23)

Baseball Betting Picks - Today's Best Bets

Casey Wilson's top NCAA college baseball betting picks and best bets for today's NCAA Baseball games on 4/14/23. His free picks include moneylines and moneyline parlays.

We enter our second Friday of RotoBallers College Baseball Betting Picks after a fantastic first weekend is in the books. We went 2-1 on the first article last Friday but had an even better weekend as I provided some free bets on Saturday for some games. We also battled a lot of weather last week and even had my favorite bet postponed on Friday after the game at ODU was moved to Saturday.

Today we have beautiful weather around the country, and four total moneyline bets, including a three-team parlay. We will have seven teams to pay attention to today, making for an action-packed baseball Friday. If you want even more of my free bets, check out my MLB Player Props article published earlier this morning. Let's have a profitable Friday to get the weekend rolling.

Sportsbooks have recently taken away game totals and run lines in College Baseball. This article will focus on money lines and often parlaying teams to get better odds. Not all books have college lines, so DraftKings Sportsbook will be my primary book, but if you find a line on another book, feel free to use that as well. With no further adieu, here are my favorite bets for Friday, April 14th, 2023.

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Wake Forest @ Louisville

WFU: Rhett Lowder | UofL: Ryan Hawks

We start today with a battle of two conference top ten teams from the ACC in Wake Forest (29-4) and Louisville (25-7). This should be a tremendous series, and Friday will feature two of the country's best arms, Rhett Lowder and Ryan Hawks. Lowder is 6-0 with a 1.84 ERA with 58 Ks to only 11 BBs. He is, in my opinion, outside of LSUs Paul Skenes, the best arm in the country. Lowder has been electric this year and will undoubtedly be ready to pitch in a big-time matchup for the Demon Deacons.

Wake is led by leadoff hitter Tommy Hawke and his .377 batting average, 40 runs, and 49 hits. Brock Wilken has cooled off a bit after his tremendous start to the season but still has 15 home runs which are good for fifth in the country. Louisville is no slouch and will be a battle of a series for Wake Forest, but on a Friday with Lowder on the mound, I will always give the advantage to the Demon Deacons unless they play LSU.

Pick: Wake Forest Moneyline (-150) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Texas Tech @ Oklahoma

TTU: Mason Molina | OU: James Hitt

Mason Molina and the Texas Tech Red Raiders (23-11) travel to Oklahoma (18-16) to take on the Sooners in a BIG 12 matchup. Molina moves into the Friday role here as he enters today with a 3-2 record and a 4.02 ERA. He has pitched much better than his numbers indicate, and his stuff is excellent. Molina, a sophomore left-hand pitcher, has been in the rotation since his freshman season and has pitched in big games in the BIG 12.

Gavin Kash leads the offense with a .396 AVG, 13 HRs, and 50 RBIs. He is the front-runner to win the BIG 12 Player of the Year and will look to continue his tear in Norman. Oklahoma has also been grappling a bit, losing a series last weekend to arguably the worst team in the BIG 12, Baylor. I look for Molina and the Red Raiders to handle business on a Friday.

Pick: Texas Tech Moneyline (-135) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks

Tennessee @ Arkansas

TENN: Andrew Lindsey | ARK: Hunter Hollan

Tennesse (23-10) heads to Arkansas (26-7) for a top-15 matchup in the SEC. Tennessee will go with Andrew Lindsey, who will be making his first-weekend start of the season after the Vols moved All-American and top draft prospect Chase Dollander out of the Friday night role. Lindsey has been very good this season, pitching to a 2.01 ERA, but throwing on a Friday in the SEC is a different beast in its own right. He now has to face Hunter Hollan, who has already beat LSU, and Ole Miss on the road and will pitch in the confines of his own park. Hollan is 5-1 with a 3.00 ERA and is a crafty lefty who knows how to get people out.

I don't mind the shake-up for Tennessee as they are severely underperforming expectations at the halfway mark in the season, but a Friday on the road in Arkansas against SEC pitcher-of-the-year candidate Hunter Hollan does not seem like a recipe for success.

Pick: Arkansas Moneyline (-135) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's College Baseball Betting Picks (Parlay)

Cincinnati @ East Carolina | Pittsburgh @ Virginia | Texas @ Baylor

UC: Griffin Hugus | ECU: Trey Yesavage

PITT: Jack Sokol | UVA: Brian Edgington

TEX: Lucas Gordon | BU: Blake Helton

Cincinnati (15-19) will make the trip to East Carolina (25-8) to face the Pirates in a conference battle of the American Athletic Conference. Trey Yesavage gets the rock here and is one of the country's top arms and draft prospects. Yesavage is 5-0 with a 2.57 ERA and has struck out a ridiculous 72 batters in 49 innings pitched. His opponent Griffin Hugus has struggled to a 6.19 ERA in only 16 innings pitched. When the Pirates are at home with Yesavage or Spivey on the mound, they rarely lose, and I don't see the Bearcats being the ones to challenge that.

Pitt (14-7) travels to Virginia (30-4) for game one of a three-game set that begins today. Virginia sends out ace Brian Edgington, who has been outstanding this year. Edgington has a 6-0 record with a 1.59 ERA and 53 Ks in 45.1 IP. Virginia is 22-0 at home to open the season after a sweep of Miami. Two Golden Spikes award watchlist members lead their offense, Kyle Teel (.437 AVG, 6 HRs, 34 RBIs) and Jake Gelof (.376 AVG, 14 HRs, 56 RBIs). Gelof has five home runs and 12 RBIs in his last five games.

Texas (24-11) travels to Waco to face Big 12 foe and previously mentioned Baylor (12-21) this weekend for a three-game series that starts today. Texas will send ace Lucas Gordon to the mound and talk about a dude that pitches with a ton of swagger. Gordon is a low-90s lefty who can manipulate the ball in various ways. He enters today's start with a 3-0 record with a 2.17 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and 54 Ks in 45.2 IP. Look out for Porter Brown (.344 AVG, 7 HRs, 31 RBIs) to have a big game in today's opening set.

Pick: East Carolina ML + Virginia ML + Texas ML (+112) DraftKings Sportsbook
