Quincy breaks down five Dynasty fantasy football Running backs that are worth making moves for in 2026. His top RBs to buy ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
The beauty of dynasty fantasy football is that the season never truly ends. You can always scheme to improve your team and make moves for the future. Because of this year-round nature, NFL players take on a different value in dynasty. You can project who may be able to benefit your team before the season starts.
Running back is a difficult position to assess in fantasy football in general. Dynasty includes the element of age that affects running backs significantly more than any other position. As such, dynasty managers need to constantly monitor the running back market and assess who they should hold, who they should sell, and who they should buy.
With the NFL season now in the rearview mirror, it is time to take a look at the running back market and decide who we should buy this year. Young running backs with a path to more opportunities are generally good bets in dynasty. Additionally, you typically do not need to pay a premium for non-established names. Let's dive in and check out this year's running back buys.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Blake Corum made this list last year. If you did not buy him then, you certainly should now. Corum is entering Year 3 with a clear role in a great offense. After being an afterthought in 2024, Corum emerged over the second half of 2025 en route to 746 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
Corum became the clear favorite running back in the redzone for the Rams this past season. His bruising style was a great complement to the finesse of Kyren Williams. Williams himself had a nice season, but the Rams cannot continue to overload him with work and expect him to perform at a high level.

With Williams locked up under contract for the next three years, the Rams will not simply move to Corum as the full-time starter. However, this backfield seems like it could be on its way to being the next great fantasy backfield last season, akin to Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard in Dallas a few years ago.
The main factor working against Corum is his lack of involvement in the passing game. Corum caught just eight passes on 14 targets all season. However, as long as he keeps scoring touchdowns, he will hold his value. He is a perfect player to have in dynasty leagues where solid running backs can be few and far between beyond the elite options. Given his status as a No. 2, Corum should be a relatively easy acquisition.
Kyle Monangai, RB, Chicago Bears
Kyle Monangai was the Knuckles to D'Andre Swift's Sonic, with head coach Ben Johnson coming to town in 2025. Monangai impressed with bruising running and incredible speed. Following his Week 5 bye, Monangai went on a tear. He racked up 783 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the season.
Monangai's most impressive trait was his big-play ability. He routinely rattled off big runs both in the running and receiving games. Despite his status as a seventh-round pick, his performance spoke for itself, and Monangai should have no issues sticking around in Chicago for the next several years.

As another No. 2 running back, Monangai's trade price will not be exorbitantly high. Swift is still under contract, and he is not going away, but two backs should be able to thrive in this system just as Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery did when Johnson was in Detroit.
Look for a big Year 2 leap from Monangai in Year 2. If you are late to this party, you will never be able to get him. Do not break the bank, but if you can work out a deal for Monangai, go ahead and pull the trigger.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
This selection may feel obvious, but when you dig deeper, the Ashton Jeanty manager may not be feeling so great about their investment. 2025 was a difficult season for the Raiders as a whole, and Jeanty suffered as a result. Jeanty was the consensus No. 1 overall pick in dynasty drafts this past season, but he failed to reach 1,000 rushing yards, and he was wildly inefficient.
The future should be bright for Jeanty, who quietly finished as the RB11 in PPR fantasy leagues. Jeanty was running behind the worst offensive line in the NFL in 2025. What is more, the Raiders were a mess offensively with quarterback Geno Smith regressing in a huge way. With Tom Brady taking on a bigger role in this franchise and rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza likely coming to town, Las Vegas could make strides in 2026.
Provided he continues to improve, Jeanty's price is likely the lowest it will be until he hits the running back age cliff. However, keep in mind that Jeanty is coming off a season in which he received 321 touches and scored 10 times. Those are stellar numbers, and ones that lend themselves to top-5 running back finishes with better efficiency.
Many Jeanty managers are likely going to want to hold fast with their investment and see what happens. But in your negotiations, you can make the argument that the Raiders are still a couple of years away from substantial improvements and convince a Jeanty manager to part ways.
If you can get Jeanty for less than market price, then now is the time to strike. Even if Jeanty does not have an elite 2026 season, he should still improve upon his average 2025 season. That will, in turn, raise his value heading into the 2027 season, no matter what.
Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Tyler Allgeier is entering free agency after four solid seasons in Atlanta. Outside of his rookie season, Allgeier has not exactly been a usable fantasy asset. However, he is talented, and given his solid production when called upon, he is rostered in most leagues as an insurance policy, meaning that you will have to trade for him.
Allgeier seems unlikely to get a backfield to himself in free agency, but what if he lands with a team such as the Jets or Commanders? In those cases, Allgeier would likely lead a committee at a minimum, with the potential for a feature back role.

Given more opportunities, Allgeier profiles as a player who could score plenty of touchdowns and deliver solid efficiency on the ground. He was already able to score eight touchdowns in 2025 despite Bijan Robinson scoring seven of his own.
With Allgeier being such an afterthought, he should be very cheap to acquire in dynasty. However, you will want to make your offers before free agency. If Allgeier signs in a great situation, his price will go up.
Trading for Allgeier will net you a potential RB2 at best and a great insurance policy at worst. That is very much worth the risk.
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
TreVeyon Henderson spent much of his rookie season playing second fiddle to Rhamondre Stevenson, but he flashed excellent ability when given the chance. Henderson's track is similar to that of Gibbs. In 2023, Gibbs spent much of the season learning the ropes from Montgomery. However, it was always clear that Gibbs was the superior running back. He just needed to learn the nuances of the position in the NFL.
With a full offseason under his belt, Henderson should deliver a strong 2026 season. Stevenson is not going anywhere, and he is talented in his own right, but Henderson's talent is difficult to deny.
Henderson has also been a bit of a forgotten man in the NFL playoffs. He has played sparingly behind Stevenson, keeping him out of sight and out of mind for fantasy managers.

Still, despite hardly seeing the field through the first eight weeks of the season, Henderson delivered an RB21 season for fantasy. Henderson's nine touchdowns were a joyous number for fantasy managers. Most importantly, Henderson demonstrated an ability to score from anywhere on the field.
Henderson definitely carries decent value, but he has RB1 upside in 2026, and it is unlikely that you would have to pay an RB1 price to acquire him. It is worth reaching out to the Henderson manager to inquire.
