Tight End (TE) Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks for Week 15 (2025)

T.J. Hockenson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Matt's tight end (TE) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 of 2025. His TE lineups advice for Week 15 fantasy football start/sit decisions.

With the fantasy playoffs here, picking the right matchups is more crucial than ever for your lineup decisions.

As we set those lineups, we must remember to start our studs and dance with those who have brought you this far. Now, if you were streaming tight ends, then we know you are okay with changing dance partners, and we have you covered once again.

Let's dive into the top starts and sits at tight end for Week 15 of the fantasy football season.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Booms

Mark Andrews - TE, Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

Whenever a tight end is on the slate for the Cincinnati Bengals, you start said tight end or tight ends, in this case. Not only is Andrews in a good spot to produce this week, but Isaiah Likely is also in a similar spot, and there is plenty of potential production to go around.

Last week, Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid each finished inside the top 10 for tight ends in fantasy scoring thanks to Knox’s six receptions for 93 yards and Kincaid's four catches for 41 yards and a touchdown. Kincaid and Knox were first and second in the Bills' peaking order against the Bengals, leading the team in receptions, yards, and targets, combining for 12 targets.

The Bengals consistently struggle on the defensive side of the ball, allowing 24.11 fantasy points per game to tight ends—by far the most in the league. The next-closest team allows 7.7 fewer points.

Andrews has been hard to trust lately, averaging 7.1 points in his last four games and alternating between solid and disappointing performances. Last week, he managed just one catch on five targets. If the trend continues, he’s due for a big week in this top tight end matchup.

T.J. Hockenson - TE, Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys

With the return of J.J. McCarthy under center, the return of tight ends producing for fantasy managers within the Vikings offense also returned. Against the Commanders, Josh Oliver and Hockenson combined for four catches and 36 receiving yards. Not exactly minding blowing fantasy statistics, but three of those four receptions resulted in touchdowns, allowing Oliver to finish as the TE4 ( 16.4) and Hockenson as the TE14 (9.2) on the week ahead on the Monday Night Football finale.

For Hockenson, it has been a frustrating season; last week’s touchdown marked his first score since Week 9 and only his third on the season. On the glass is half full on the fantasy spectrum. Before last week's contest, Hockenson had four or more targets in three straight games, and in his previous two contests, the Vikings' pass catchers had caught eight of his nine intended passes for 71 yards and a touchdown, averaging 10.5 fantasy points.

Minnesota has a favorable matchup for tight ends this week. Before facing the Lions, Dallas allowed 14.73 points per game to tight ends—the seventh-most—and 182 yards on 30 receptions over their previous three contests.

Darren Waller - TE, Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers

While the Pittsburgh Steelers have been better at defending opposing tight ends in recent weeks (11.35 fantasy points per game over the last four weeks), they are still a team that has allowed 15.92 fantasy points per game to the position this season and surrendered eight touchdown receptions.

Despite recent low production, Waller is a start this week due to the favourable matchup against the Steelers. His volume has been limited, but improved team play and a better game script make him a viable option.

I’ll give Waller a bit of a pass last week as the Dolphins got out to a 21-point lead in the first quarter and really didn’t need his services as they ran the ball 41 times for 239 yards in that 34-10 victory over their divisional rival.

Expect this week’s contest to be much closer and feature a game script that will likely involve Tua Tagovailoa needing to throw the ball more than the 21 times he did last week, as the Steelers are in the hunt for their own divisional crown.

Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Busts

Hunter Henry - TE, New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills

I’ve said this on many occasions. You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t pull the mask off the Lone Ranger, and you sure as heck don’t start tight ends against the Buffalo Bill’s defense.

Over the previous four weeks, the Bills have allowed a league-low 4.48 fantasy points per game to the tight end position and have yet to concede a touchdown to the position. Including last week, Buffalo has allowed a dismal nine receptions and 135 receiving yards to the positions, which equates to 10.4 receiving yards per game.

Now, if you must start Henry, here’s the good news. Henry accounts for 35% of the total receiving yards surrendered by the Bills this season. In the previous meeting, Henry caught two of his four targets for 46 yards, producing 6.6 fantasy points. Again, that is the ceiling in this matchup.

Last week, 17 tight ends went on to produce 6.6 or more fantasy points. The week before that saw 24 tight ends surpass that total. Week 12, 21 tight ends would accomplish that feat. I could go on, but you get the gist of where I am going with this.

Dallas Goedert - TE, Philadelphia Eagles vs Las Vegas Raiders

As good as the Bills have been in fantasy, against the tight end position, surprisingly, the Las Vegas Raiders aren’t too far behind.

After what some believed was a return to fantasy relevance for Evan Engram coming off a six-catch, 79 receiving yards performance in Week 13, in which the Broncos tight end was targeted on nine occasions, reality once again sank in, facing the Raiders, as Engram was limited to 2.8 fantasy points last week and just a pair of receptions for eight yards.

Las Vegas has been stifling tight ends in fantasy over the last four weeks and has held the position to less than 7.4 fantasy points per game this season, and has surrendered just 126 receiving yards on 17 receptions this season. If Goedert can find the end zone this week, he’ll be just the second tight end to do so against the silver and black this year.

Goedert entered Week 14 as TE12, averaging 11.1 fantasy points per game; however, before that Monday Night Football showdown against the Chargers, Goedert had produced fewer than five fantasy points in each of his previous three contests.

Cade Otton - TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Falcons

Otton is a recommended sit for Week 15 against the Falcons. The matchup is unfavourable, and his recent production has been limited, making him a risky fantasy playoff start.

After terrorizing the Patriots to the tune of nine catches for 82 receiving yards and 12 targets, Otton has cooled off in the four games that followed. From Week 11 on, Otton has caught 11 of his 18 targets for 77 receiving yards, which is 19.3 yards per game over that stretch and 4.7 fantasy points per contest.

As a struggling tight end, at least where fantasy football is concerned, a date with the Falcons is one of the last things you want to see. On the season, only the Bills are allowing fewer than the 8.07 fantasy points per game that the Falcons have allowed, and back in Week 1, Otton was targeted three times against this Falcons defense, coming away empty-handed.
