Matt's quarterback (QB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 of 2025. His QB lineups advice for Week 15 fantasy football start/sit decisions.
Pitter patter, let’s get at ‘er. The fantasy playoffs are officially here for many, which means lineup decisions will be under the microscope more this week than ever before.
One thing we as fantasy managers need to avoid, and it’s easier said than done, is getting out of our own heads when trying to decide which players to insert into our fantasy lineups. You’ve made it this far; now let’s bring it home.
With that in mind, it's time to look at RotoBaller's Week 15 starts and sits for the quarterback position.

Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Booms
Brock Purdy - QB, San Francisco 49ers vs Tennessee Titans
The San Francisco 49ers enter Week 15 fresh off their bye and looking to help fantasy managers advance in their playoff quests. What better way to kick-start the fantasy postseason than with a date with the Tennessee Titans, who are coming off a performance against the Cleveland Browns that saw them surrender 29 points.
The Titans' defense just allowed 364 passing yards and three touchdowns to Shedeur Sanders, despite Tennessee lacking the offensive weapons that benefit Purdy in San Francisco. This highlights the Titans' recent struggles against quarterbacks.
Purdy, despite injury limitations, has averaged 17 fantasy points per game in his last five starts and reached this mark in four of them. Before the bye week, he'd surpassed 17 points twice in his last three games. Meanwhile, the Titans have given up an average of 18.46 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks in their previous three games.
With those first-round playoff matchups firing up this week, Purdy has one of the highest floors among fantasy signal callers, which should have managers starting him with confidence.
Matthew Stafford - QB, Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions
Stafford continues to deliver strong performances. Following a 281-yard passing game with three touchdowns and an average of 9.1 yards per attempt, he has established a nine-touchdown lead over both Dak Prescott and Jared Goff for the league lead.
Stafford has been impressive this season. Not only has the future Hall of Famer thrown 35 touchdowns to four interceptions this season, but he and Peyton Manning are the only quarterbacks after the age of 37 to have had seven or more games in which they threw three or more touchdown passes without throwing an interception. Furthermore, only Aaron Rodgers (2014 and 2020) and Tom Brady (2007) have accomplished the same feat, albeit at younger ages, and gone on to win the NFL MVP in each of those seasons.

This week, Stafford faces his former team, the Lions, who just gave up 376 passing yards to Prescott. Since Week 7, Stafford averages 22 fantasy points per game, while the Lions are allowing 22.81 to quarterbacks over the past four weeks.
Aaron Rodgers - QB, Pittsburgh Steelers vs Miami Dolphins
This holiday season, miracles can happen, even Rodgers scoring a rushing touchdown. Before last week, his previous rushing touchdown occurred during his tenure in Green Bay.

Before Rodgers’s 20.5-point fantasy outing last week, Steelers quarterbacks had failed to exceed 13 fantasy points in any of the four prior games. While the Steelers' quarterback floor remains unsettled, Miami has been a favourable matchup for fantasy quarterbacks, Jets game withstanding. Last week, Brady Cook threw for 163 yards in relief of Tyrod Taylor.
Rodgers impressed in his last game, going four for four on passes over 20 yards for 152 yards and posting a 99.9 passing grade against a highly ranked Baltimore defense.
Rodgers will look to build on that momentum, facing a Dolphins team that has allowed five touchdown passes in their four previous weeks, before facing the Jets last Sunday, surrendering 17.51 fantasy points per game over that stretch.
Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Busts
Caleb Williams - QB, Chicago Bears vs Cleveland Browns
Last week, Williams was on the “Sit List,” and he went out and there against the Packers and was held to 186 passing yards, a pair of touchdowns, and 15.3 fantasy points. While the Packers are good, they sit seventh in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (185.7), while this week’s opponent, the Cleveland Browns, sits first, allowing a dismal 165.2 per contest.
While the Packers possess standout defender Micah Parsons, the Cleveland Browns counter with their own star, Myles Garrett. Parsons is tied for third in the league with 12.5 sacks, and the Packers' team ranks 11th in sacks with 33. In comparison, Garrett has recorded 20 sacks and 31 tackles for loss as part of the Browns' 44 total sacks, positioning the Browns just behind the Broncos in total sacks.
While the Titans scored 31 points on the Browns last week, Cam Ward completed just 14 of 28 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Elic Ayomanor had one early touchdown, while Chimere Dike had the other score, while averaging just 4.8 yards per reception.
Williams has one of the lowest floors this week. The Browns have allowed only 10.80 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over the last four weeks, which is the fourth-fewest in the league.
Bo Nix - QB, Denver Broncos vs Green Bay Packers
While the Denver Broncos have been one of the best offensive lines this season (league-low 17 sacks allowed), Micah Parsons and the Packers are built differently. For all the reasons managers should be sitting Williams, the same conversation applies to Nix here.
Green Bay's defense ranks in the top 11 for passing yards allowed, sacks, and passer rating, and is seventh in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. Nix, currently QB10, averages 18.4 fantasy points per game, but just 13.5 since Week 10, ranking 22nd among quarterbacks in that span.
As much upside as Nix has, considering his recent performances and the matchup at hand, it’s hard to trust him as much more than a QB2 with upside this week. That kind of uncertainty should make fantasy managers wary about plugging the second-year signal caller into their lineups with the playoffs on the horizon. Last week, it was Williams, the QB9 in fantasy, who had to settle for a QB16 week after acing this Packers defensive front.
Bryce Young - QB, Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
One of the most heralded defenses this season is the one down in the Bayou. Yet, when discussing matchups to avoid in fantasy, no one is talking about the New Orleans Saints, and that’s a shame.
New Orleans enters Week 15 allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game (182.6) and has allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points to the quarterback position (14.82) per game. I get the temptation to start Young this week, since in Week 11, he's the QB5 in fantasy, averaging 21.5 fantasy points per game, and he has two of his last three games where he's surpassed 22 fantasy points.
However, we needn't look any further than Week 10's contest against this same Saints defense. In that contest, Young was sacked twice, threw an interception, and while he completed 17 of 25 passes, those completions totaled only 124 yards. When you add that all up, you get 2.6 fantasy points and a QB29 finish on the week.
Outcomes can vary, but with playoff advancement at stake, it is prudent to trust the evidence, which suggests caution in starting Young this week.
