Paddy Pimblett suffered a unanimous decision loss to Justin Gaethje in the main event of UFC 324 on Saturday. Pimblett had success with his leg kicks and with his striking, but he wasn't able to take Gaethje down. Justin Gaethje Becomes the New Interim-Lightweight Champion
Justin Gathje became the new interim lightweight champion by defeating former Cage Warriors champion Paddy Pimblett via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 324 on Saturday. Gathje also made history by becoming the first fighter to win the interim title twice. "The Highlight" pushed the pace the whole fight, and most people thought Gathje won three or four rounds out of five. In 25 minutes of action, Gaethje landed three takedowns and 144 significant strikes with 5:55 of control time. Now, for the 10th time in his UFC career, Gaethje captured the Fight of the Night award.

Song Yadong Suffers Unanimous Decision Loss
Song Yadong suffered a unanimous decision loss to former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley in the co-main event of UFC 324 on Saturday. The first two rounds were close; however, the first went to O'Malley, and the second to Yadong. The third and final round was easily O'Malley's best. In 15 minutes of action, Yadong landed three takedowns and 36 significant strikes. With the loss, Yadong dropped to 22-9-1 as a pro and is now 11-4-1 in the UFC.

Sean O'Malley Gets Back In The Win Column
Former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley got back in the win column by defeating Song Yadong via unanimous decision in the co-main event of UFC 324 on Saturday. O'Malley took a measured approach in the first round, and despite a late takedown by Yadong, the first round went to O'Malley. The second round was extremely close,e and the third round was the best round for O'Malley. In 15 minutes of action, O'Malley landed 48 significant strikes. Waldo Cortes-Acosta extended his win streak by defeating former title challenger Derrick Lewis via second-round TKO on the main card of UFC 324 on Saturday. Cortes-Acosta was light on his feet, and he used his footwork to stay out of danger. After tagging Lewis time and time again, Cortes-Acosta landed a jab that dropped his opponent, so Cortes-Acosta followed up with ground and pound, finishing Lewis in the second round. Manel Kape extended his win streak to three by defeating former title challenger Brandon Royval via first-round TKO on Saturday. It didn't take long for Kape to finish Royval, as Kape backed Royval into the fence and landed a vicious right hook that knocked Royval down. Up-and-coming UFC prospect Kevin Vallejos extended his win streak by defeating Giga Chikadze via second-round knockout in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 112 on Saturday. Although he had success in the first round, Vallejos was having trouble closing the distance. Vallejos started pushing the pace in the second round, and after tagging Chikadze with a right hand, Vallejos landed a spinning backfist out of nowhere, knocking Chikadze down. Vallejos then followed up with elbows on the ground, knocking Chikadze out cold. In 6:29 of action, Vallejos landed 20 significant strikes. With the win, Vallejos extended his win streak to six and improved his record under the UFC banner to 3-0.
