LCK & LPL DFS Picks for 7/10/20: DraftKings, FanDuel League of Legends

Billy Hoffer’s League of Legends (LoL) DFS advice and DraftKings, FanDuel lineup picks for LPL, and LCK slates on 7/10/20. His top LoL value plays and eSports DFS recommendations.

Hello, Esports enthusiasts, and welcome back to our continued Esports coverage of League of Legends DFS! Last night we saw the LCK do as expected, but Vici pulled off an upset over FPX. My upset pick, LGD, fell just short in a 1-2 loss to JDG.

My name is Billy Hoffer and I'm really excited to be making my debut as an Esports analyst here at Rotoballer. I'm a big fan of LOL, CSGO, and COD and have been grinding DFS in a bunch of different sports for some time now. I realize I have some big shoes to fill as I fill in for the esteemed Mr. Malmanger with these LPL and LCK picks, but I am going to do my best to give you high-quality analysis and actionable advice for tomorrow morning's DFS slate.

I'll be providing my League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for this LCK/LPL slate on DraftKings and FanDuel that locks at 4:00 AM on Friday. July 10th, 2020. Make sure you follow me on Twitter @Hofferkid!

LCK Matches

Gen. G (-500) vs. Team Dynamics

Gen. G comes into this one at 4-2 and fourth in the LCK. TD is coming off of two straight losses and sits at 3-3 and 6th in the LCK. Gen. G is far superior in first blood and first tower percentage. As well as holding an advantage in dragon and herald rates. TD has a slight baron edge. Gen. G is much better early holding a +751 gold differential at 15 minutes. If i'm being honest, I think TD is not that good of a team. They took advantage of a very soft opening schedule, but at the end of the day I believe they sit in the low to mid tier in the LCK.

I have some concerns about how bloody this series will be, but I do believe that Gen.G sweeps. Ruler holds the best kill participation on the team so far this split sitting at 68%. I would be fine with taking my smaller stack from this game, but I would save your 3-4 man stack for a different spot. Also, avoid any SUP on Gen. G as it tends to change and has major sub-risk.

The pick: Gen. G 2-0

Top Gen. G plays:

  • Ruler - ADC
  • Bdd - MID
  • Clid - JNG

KT Rolster (-195) vs. Sandbox Gaming

KT comes into this two days after pulling off an incredible upset over DRX and sits at 3-4. Sandbox has won their last two over TD and Hanwha Life and sit at 2-5. SB holds the advantage in first tower percentage while KT is better in first blood percentage. SB also holds an advantage in dragon and herald rate while also having a slight advantage in vision. SB has had a lot of trouble this split because they have so often found themselves behind early as they hold a -1428 gold differential at 15 minutes.

KT's likely win condition is being able to get ahead early. I don't necessarily trust them to do that. So here we are with the upset special, give me Sandbox 2-1. Summit is one of the consistent starters on this roster, and I like his individual lane match-up tonight. This game still worries me in terms of kills and upside in general. A small Sandbox stack could get you some good leverage. If you play KT, Aiming is an elite play.

The pick: Sandbox 2-1

Top Sandbox plays:

  • Summit - TOP
  • OnFleek - JNG
  • Route - ADC

LPL Matches

Bilibili Gaming (-115) vs. Oh My God (-115)

This game has opened up as a pick em. BLG sits at 2-5 and 13th in the LPL but have been performing better as of late. OMG comes in at 3-4 and 11th in the LPL.  Both of these teams seem to play a slower more controlled style, which again, typically leads to less kills (Seems like i've said this for every game on this slate so far).  BLG has the first tower advantage, while first blood percentage goes to OMG. BLG has not been great with objectives as OMG has better dragon, herald, and baron rates than they do.

However, this BLG team has looked way different (in a good way) since the return of Meteor. We have seem small flashes of OMG producing kills or dying a lot, I don't mind taking a 3-4 man BLG stack here as they will likely not be nearly as owned as Gen. G or IG. BLG has a slight vision advantage over OMG as well. Meteor and Fofo are my two favorites. I would recommend avoiding the TOP situation as they are both sub prone.

The pick: BLG 2-1

Top BLG plays:

  • Meteor - JNG
  • Fofo - MID
  • Wings - ADC
  • Xinmo - SUP

Top OMG plays:

  • icon - MID
  • Smlz - ADC

Invictus Gaming (-385) vs. eStar

Last split, we saw this eStar walk all over IG in a 2-0 sweep, including a 35 kill performance. Unfortunately, this match-up will not be receiving nearly as much hype as it did last split for a couple of reasons. The first being eStar has looked awful without Cryin and sits at 2-7 so far this split. The second being IG has regressed a bit as well but they still sit at 6-3 and fourth in the LPL. Estar holds the advantage in first tower and first blood percentage. IG holds better dragon and baron rates, while heralds are equal between the two. IG has a pretty big advantage in gold difference at 15 minutes as well. This series should definitely be bloody and I would think that IG is out for some revenge and most definitely remember what happened last split.

I am going to call a 2-0 IG sweep here and that is saying something because they very rarely sweep. I don't think kills should be much of a problem in this series, but the kill participation as a team for IG often is a problem. I think they get enough kills to overcome that issue though and definitely do not mind my 3-4 man stack coming from this game. Rookie is a top play on the slate and if you could get him at captain, I would definitely consider it. Be careful rostering Baolan, who is starting at SUP for IG tonight as he is a substantial sub risk.

The pick: IG 2-0

Top IG plays:

  • Rookie - MID
  • Ning - JNG
  • Puff - ADC
  • TheShy - TOP

Summary

  1.  Gen. G will likely be one of the chalkiest options on the slate tonight, I would recommend taking your smaller stack from them but a full stack is not out of the question it just may be very chalky.
  2. This is really not a great slate and I do not LOVE any particular spot so do not be afraid to be a little contrarian tonight because it really is a weird slate.
  3. Rookie is my favorite play on the slate.
