DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Daily College Fantasy Football Friday Slate (12/5/25)

Mike Marteny's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Friday (12/5/25) slate in Week 15. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

Championship Weekend is here. This year, they did us a solid and split up the nine games pretty evenly between Friday and Saturday. It's maximum exposure for all 18 teams involved. It also makes for a couple of very interesting DFS slates.

We start this off with the Conference USA title game from Jacksonville, where the Gamecocks just beat Kennesaw three weeks ago. Next up is the biggest game in James Madison history against Troy. The most meaningful conference championship game kicks off from New Orleans an hour later. We end up out in Boise with Boise taking on UNLV (again).

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the DraftKings slate on 12/5/25, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern. I’ll give multiple player suggestions for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, highlighting one option at each end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Drew Mestemaker, North Texas ($7.8K)

Mestemaker led FBS in passing yards and threw just four interceptions all season. Three of them were in the loss to South Florida. He has two games over 400 passing yards this year, including 608 against Charlotte.

Who did Tulane play last week? That's right...it was Charlotte. Jake Retzlaff only threw for 291 against the 49ers.

Alonza Barnett III, James Madison ($7.4K)

When we last saw James Madison on a DFS slate, Barnett was splitting time with Matthew Sluka. That experiment failed. Once Bob Chesney admitted it, the Dukes took off.

Barnett hasn't run as much lately, but he still does when he has the space. He'll get the space against Troy. This is the most significant game in any sport for James Madison University. We're going to see a huge game from Barnett here.

Maddux Madsen, Boise State ($6.6K)

Madsen will play for the first time since suffering an ankle injury against Fresno a month ago. Madsen put up 27.4 DraftKings points in the first meeting against UNLV because the defense has no answer for him.

If anything, the UNLV defense has deteriorated over the last six weeks. We're going to see a significant total from Madsen for the price.

Also consider these QBs

  • Caden Creel, Jacksonville State ($8.2K)
  • Jake Retzlaff, Tulane ($7.2K)
  • Goose Crowder, Troy ($6.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

Caleb Hawkins, North Texas ($10.5K)

That's a great stretch for Hawkins, and why I won't hesitate to use him, even with the hefty price tag. North Texas realizes what's at stake, which is why they have leaned so heavily on Hawkins this year.

He has at least 25 DK points in every game since the loss to South Florida on October 10. He has topped 50 twice and hit 49 another time. No one else has the ceiling since Hawkins will get at least 25 touches in this game.

Dylan Riley, Boise State ($7.2K)

Riley carved up the UNLV defense in the first meeting. He put up 29.1 DK points on just 15 touches. He ran for 201 yards in that one. Boise put up over 500 yards of total offense in the first meeting. It will likely happen again.

Jamauri McClure, Tulane ($5.4K)

Freshman Javin Gordon cut into his touches against Charlotte, but McClure was listed as questionable before the game, and the Wave were likely just taking it easy on McClure. He should still be the starter in the backfield.

McClure has 285 rushing yards and a touchdown over his three games as a starter. It has taken some pressure off of Retzlaff and made the Tulane offense more unpredictable. He should have a large role against North Texas as well.

Also consider these RBs

  • Cam Cook, Jacksonville State ($8K)
  • Jai'Den Thomas, UNLV ($7K)
  • Coleman Bennett, Kennesaw State ($5.6K)
  • Tae Meadows, Troy ($5.1K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Wyatt Young, North Texas ($6.8K)

Young is easily Mestemaker's favorite target with 22 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns in the last three games alone. No one comes close to the ceiling at the receiver position that Young provides.

Gabriel Benyard, Kennesaw State ($6.9K)

Benyard is the only Kennesaw player that I trust. He caught five balls for 100 yards in the first meeting. That was his lowest total in November. Kennsaw would rather operate on the ground, but when they do throw, most of the time it's heading to Benyard.

Cameron Dorner, North Texas ($4.7K)

Everyone knows about Wyatt Young, but Dorner has turned in some games that are close to the output of Young. We mentioned Young's huge stat lines over the last three games. You would think that Dorner has suffered, right?

Not quite. Dorner has 9 catches for 225 yards and two touchdowns. That's really good output in this price range.

DJ Epps, Troy ($4.6K)

Goose Crowder made his return two games ago. Epps has 14 catches for 143 yards and two scores since Goose got back. Epps is Crowder's favorite target, and he's not priced like it.

Also consider these WRs:

  • Jaden Bradley, UNLV ($6.4K)
  • Chris Marshall, Boise State ($4.8K)
  • Shazz Preston, Tulane ($4.7K)
  • Troy Omeire, UNLV ($4.2K)

DraftKings CFB Stacks

Boise State vs. UNLV - Game Stack

Boise scored 56 points in the first meeting. UNLV scored 31, so we can pull off a game stack here. First, we'll go over the five-man stacks for each team.

Madsen and Riley are going to be popular choices, but who's going to catch the passes from Madsen? The bad news for DFS players is that Boise loves to spread the ball around.

Chris Marshall had the big game in the first meeting, and Latrell Caples had a strong game. That's a solid four-man stack. For the fifth, Sire Gaines scored two touchdowns in the first meeting, but he only had eight touches. I think I'd rather take my chances with Chase Penry, who has come on in the last two games.

UNLV is a bit tougher. I love the price on Anthony Colandrea, and Thomas is a lock since he didn't play in the first game and his backup hit triple digits. Bradley is the only lock at receiver.

Omeire isn't targeted much, but he has saved us with touchdowns. He's fine in GPPs. DaeDae Reynolds is the safer option.

The game stack is relatively easy, thanks to Colandrea and Madsen being cheap. They are two of my favorite plays on the slate. Add in Riley, Thomas, Marshall, and Bradley, and we still have $11K to fill the last WR slot and the flex.

That leaves out Wyatt Young, but we can still grab a couple of other good options. If you want to use Young, sub out Bradley for one of the cheaper UNLV receivers.

Also consider these stacks:

  • Tulane
  • James Madison (GPP only)
  • North Texas (GPP only)
