Buy Low, Sell High Week 7 Fantasy Trade Value Recommendations - Jalen Hurts, Mike Evans, Najee Harris, more

Jalen Hurts - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Fantasy football trade candidates to buy or sell for Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season. Martin Grisko lists overvalued and undervalued players to target or trade away.

As we dive into Week 7 of the NFL season, fantasy football managers deal with all the ups and downs that come with player performances, injuries, and bye weeks. Whether riding high on a winning streak or trying to bounce back from tough losses, knowing when to buy low or sell high can make all the difference in your season.

Buy-low candidates are those underrated players who might be flying under the radar. They may have had a rocky start, dealt with injuries, or had a few off weeks. However, their upside is still significant, and with a bit of patience and a savvy trade, you could grab them right before they make a substantial impact.

On the flip side, sell-high targets are players who have recently seen a spike in their value, thanks to standout performances. This creates an excellent opportunity to trade them while their stock is high for a more dependable player or to strengthen your roster’s depth. Identifying these moments can help you transform your team and get it playoff-ready.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Fantasy Football Buy-Low Trade Targets

QB Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts is a solid buy-low candidate as we head into Week 7. He has yet to live up to expectations based on where he was drafted this season, but several factors are working in his favor. He's already past his bye week, so he’s primed for a strong finish.

The Eagles have a favorable schedule for quarterbacks going forward, with only one tough matchup left in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the coming weeks, he’ll face the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Rams, and Carolina Panthers—matchups where he could easily put up big numbers. Plus, he has crucial games against Washington and Dallas in Weeks 16 and 17, right when you want your players to be at their best for fantasy playoffs.

The Eagles' offensive weapons are also getting healthy, which is a big boost for Hurts. So far this season, there have only been two games when both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith were at full strength, and in those games, Hurts had impressive performances. With both wide receivers back in action, now is the perfect time to grab Hurts, as he’s set to be one of the top quarterbacks for the rest of the fantasy season.

WR Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans's value is at one of the lowest it’s been in a long time, making this an ideal time to buy low. He’s been a bit overshadowed by his teammate Chris Godwin so far this year, but with Evans hopefully getting healthier, he could be ready to bounce back.

The good news is that Tampa Bay has a favorable schedule for wide receivers moving forward. They only have one tough matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. However, Evans will face Dallas in Week 16 and Carolina in Week 17, which is perfect for the fantasy playoffs. Plus, he won’t have to deal with the Saints again, a team he typically struggles against, since they play in Week 18.

What boosts confidence in Evans is his quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who has been performing at an All-Pro level. While Mayfield has leaned more toward Godwin this season, there’s no reason he and Evans can’t rekindle the chemistry that made them a dynamic duo in 2023. Evans has consistently hit the 1,000-yard mark every season, making him a solid investment in fantasy. Grab him now and take advantage of the high-powered Tampa Bay offense as you head into the fantasy playoffs.

QB Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott has been a letdown for fantasy football managers in 2024 and is now on his bye week. This feels familiar, as he also struggled last season. The good news is that Prescott has a fantastic schedule lined up right after the bye, just like he did in 2023. This year, though, he may need to step up even more, as the defense has been hit hard by injuries.

The Cowboys’ upcoming schedule is favorable for quarterbacks, with no matchups that should cause significant concern. They’ll face teams like Carolina, Tampa Bay, and Philadelphia during the fantasy playoffs, making Prescott an enticing option as the season progresses. If the offense can find its rhythm during the bye, he’ll be poised to take full advantage of these favorable matchups.

With an All-Pro receiver like CeeDee Lamb to target, Prescott has a solid floor that many quarterbacks don’t have. Coupled with a struggling defense, he’s in a prime position to put up big numbers. Now is the perfect time to snag Prescott while he’s on bye, and it may be easier to acquire from a frustrated manager.

Fantasy Football Sell-High Trade Targets

RB Najee Harris, Pittsburg Steelers

While it might be obvious to sell Najee Harris after an all-time game, his recent performance does present an opportunity. Last week, he rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries, showcasing his potential. However, it’s unlikely he’ll maintain a 7.6 yards per carry average going forward. He also won't get to face the Raiders every game.

With Jaylen Warren returning to health, Harris will soon have to share touches more frequently. Warren has been the more explosive back in the past, meaning that Harris could be phased out of the game plan in games where the Steelers fall behind. Additionally, the offensive line faces injury issues, with rookie center Zach Frazier expected to miss time and other vital players already sidelined. This instability could hinder Harris’s performance in the coming weeks.

Another factor to consider is the shift to Russell Wilson as quarterback. While this might provide Harris with more rushing opportunities, it could also lead to a decline in offensive production. If the Steelers struggle to score, Harris’s chances for red zone touchdowns will diminish, impacting his fantasy value. If you can find a running back-needy manager, now may be the time to trade Harris before his stock takes another hit.

RB Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Cheifs

Kareem Hunt is coming off a standout game, but it might be the peak of his fantasy value this season. After logging 27 carries for 102 yards and a touchdown, Hunt has turned some heads. However, now could be the perfect moment to trade him for a more sustainable option.

With Clyde Edwards-Helaire returning to health, the Chiefs will likely face a challenging running back committee moving forward. Carson Steele also saw six carries last game, indicating that the Chiefs are eager to involve multiple backs. Additionally, they’ve been using Xavier Worthy as a rusher, further limiting Hunt’s opportunities.

Hunt is no longer in his prime and may need help handling such a heavy weekly workload. If he continues to get these high carry counts, the risk of injury increases significantly. As the Chiefs may want to reduce his touches to preserve him for the playoffs, this is an excellent time to sell high. Look for a manager willing to pay an RB2 price and move on before this situation becomes a headache.

WR Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts

Michael Pittman Jr. has had a solid run lately but now might be the ideal time to sell high with a quarterback switch on the horizon. With Anthony Richardson returning from an oblique injury, this could be seen as a downgrade for Pittman, who thrived with Joe Flacco under center, reminiscent of his success in 2023 with Gardner Minshew.

Another concern is that he favored Josh Downs over Pittman, even during Flacco's time as quarterback. Downs received nine targets, including a couple in the red zone, resulting in a touchdown. If Pittman isn’t a primary target for either quarterback, his upside may not match the breakout potential he showed last season.

Additionally, Pittman is dealing with a significant back injury that nearly landed him on IR. It’s tough to rely on a player with such injury concerns, especially when he could be sidelined at any moment. Given the combination of injury issues, the quarterback change, and the rise of Downs, this is an excellent opportunity to trade Pittman to someone looking for a reliable flex option.
