Call of Duty: London Home Series (Best of 5)

  • Paris Legion vs. London Royal Ravens
  • Florida Mutineers vs. Dallas Empire

COD DFS Basics

  1. Like in CSGO, players receive two points for a kill and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is K/D ratio. However, players can also earn fantasy points for planting or defusing bombs (three points each) in Search and Destroy rounds, so there are some players who we can target for other skills besides their ability to kill the opponent.
  2. You need to roster a team slot on both sites. Teams accrue fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and Search and Destroy rounds won (+.5).
  3. Teams will be playing best-of-five matches on a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played is as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
  4. In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the highest scorers and these rounds are often the bloodiest.
  5. The Domination round is a good bit different than the others as teams attempt to control flag points on the map. These rounds can be bloody, but also can be relatively low-scoring depending on how aggressive or defensive teams get in this round. Players can earn +1 for successful flag captures during this domination round.

DFS Captain Considerations

Shotzzy - He comes into this one posting a 150 on Friday and followed it up on Saturday with a 122 (in a sweep). He is arguably the best player on the server in the best match-up on the day. A 150 just feels like a sure thing here. However, he will be the chalkiest captain play on the slate but I have no problem eating that chalk.

Louqa - Is Paris good now? How in the world did they just sweep New York? Recommending Louqa as a primary captain play on the slate feels crazy, but we need to keep in mind this is a two-game slate and his ownership at captain and probably in general will be low. He is far and away the best player on this Paris Legion squad and led them to a 3-1 win over LAG today while dropping a smooth 122. If Paris can take their momentum from Saturday and bring it into Sunday, it would not suprise me to see Paris take this series five or even win it.

Other captain plays: Owakening, Wuskin, Skyz

COD DFS Value Plays

Fero - He has been a part of every article this week and has not let us down yet. Posting insane scores of 139 and 148. But for some reason, he still sits at 7.8k on FD which is absolutely ridiculous. Lock him in and get as many pieces from the top as you can.

Havok - I know, another Florida guy. I'm sorry but its not my fault these guys are all terribly priced on FamDuel. Havok let me down today posting a score of 76 fantasy points, but dropped a 151 on Friday. I look for him to bounce back today and return to that 100+ range.

Other value plays: Denz, Illey, Zero

COD DFS Stacks

I hate ranking stacks on a two game slate because the options are so limited. So today I thought I would provide a brief breakdown on both of the matches on the slate as well as my favorite players on each team.

Dallas/Florida is the match that is expected to go four or five maps and will also likely be the chalkier match on the day. Shotzzy is my overall favorite play from this match, but after that it's mostly all Florida guys. As mentioned above, I love the value of Fero and Havok as well as the star-power Owakening brings to the table. This series should be a great one and my gut tells me Florida takes it, 3-2.

The next match on this slate is the one with a much larger spread as well as sweep risk. London/Paris face-off in the semi-finals on Sunday. Props to Paris for making it here as they had looked awful in tournaments past but managed to grind out two wins today against LAG and NY. London comes into this playing great thus far in this tournament as they upset Florida today, 3-2.

So over my time of playing COD DFS I have noticed how real hot streaks are within teams. We saw Florida take two tournaments in a row, we saw NY win it all last week after they had not done to great in previous tourneys, and now, we see Paris who recorded their first top six since week five last tournament and now find themselves playing on Sunday in the semi-finals.

I am not saying Paris will win this tournament or even win this game. But I will be heavier on the Paris side in this match-up to differentiate from the field a bit. Their box scores all look pretty bad, but we have never really gotten to see what a full highly contested five game series can do for these Paris players. Therefore, we don't really have an idea on what kind of ceilings these guys posses. Louqa is the obvious play from the Legion, but DenzKismet, and Shockz have flashed small glimpses of upside ax well. Outside of Louqa this team seems very hard to predict but they are all dirt cheap and have shown pretty equal upside. Now that I have wrote a nine page essay on the Paris Legion, lets get to the other side of this match. I know most people will likely go towards London in this match and I can't fault anyone for doing that as they are favorites and realistically should win this match-up as it is also their home series. Wuskin, Skrapz, and Zero are my top three from this London squad and are all great plays on this slate. Now, the final prediction is 3-2, Paris Legion. Please do not hate me if they get swept as that is a solid possibility and this play is only for GPPs. But after my encyclopedia-like write-up on them I have to roll the dice and get different. GO PARIS!
