Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: 5 Veteran Wide Receivers to Buy Low Now (2026)

Davante Adams - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Joey's five veteran wide receivers to trade for in dynasty fantasy football leagues. His top aging trade targets include Davante Adams, Terry McLaurin, and more.

Sometimes, dynasty fantasy football managers have to make certain moves to get them over the top. That could mean selling a mid-round pick for an aging veteran. If you are considered a contender in your dynasty league next year, now might be the best time to improve your roster by buying a few players who are on the older side.

In this article, we will go through five aging veteran wide receivers who dynasty managers should target in trades. All five of these wide receivers are on the older side, but each of them could provide solid fantasy numbers in 2026.

So, let's dive into the best five aging wide receivers to buy in dynasty formats.

Editor's Note: The FFPC Baby Gorilla Tournament is now open, featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a $675,450 total prize pool! This 12-team, Tight End Premium contest uses a 20-round draft format, with the overall winners determined by total points scored during Weeks 15–17. Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams

Despite just turning 33 years old, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams is the best aging player to target in most dynasty leagues. He showed no signs of slowing down last season and remains in one of the best offenses in football. With MVP Matthew Stafford returning for another season, Adams should be in store for another strong fantasy campaign.

In his first season with the Rams, the 12-year veteran caught 60 passes for 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. Although Adams missed three games later in the year due to a hamstring injury, he still finished as the overall WR9 in PPR formats. That marked the sixth straight season that the veteran has finished as a WR1 in PPR formats.

Therefore, we can assume that Adams will finish somewhere around a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 in 2026. If you are a contender, that is production that you could be missing from your team next year. It might not be a bad idea to trade away a second-round pick to get a wide receiver who will average upward of 15 PPR fantasy points per game.

Although Adams only has a few years left, chasing a dynasty championship ring should be at the top of every manager's list. If you have a shot to win it all, go get the six-time Pro Bowler.

Current KeepTradeCut Value:

Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin is an interesting case in dynasty heading into the 2026 season. He is coming off an injury-riddled 2025 season in which he played in only 10 games and will turn 31 years old in mid-September.

That's usually the age where wide receivers start to slowly fall off a cliff. However, McLaurin is a better dynasty buy than managers might realize at this point in his career.

The Commanders playmaker was one of the most consistent fantasy wide receivers in his first six years in the league. He finished as a top-30 wide receiver in each of those six years and put together the best numbers of his career in 2024. That season, McLaurin finished as the WR7 in PPR formats while averaging 15.8 PPR fantasy points per game.

While McLaurin was due for some regression last year, he should return to being a consistent WR2 in fantasy this year. Jayden Daniels remains the quarterback, and the 30-year-old is still the unquestioned WR1 in this Washington offense. Trading for a WR1 on a solid offense should pay off for dynasty managers during the 2026 season.

It will likely only cost a second-round pick to acquire McLaurin in most dynasty leagues. That's a fair price for a wide receiver who is just two years removed from a WR1 fantasy finish. Let's not forget he ranked in the top 10 in both air yards and deep targets the last time he was fully healthy in 2024. His connection with Daniels should only grow in Year 3 together.

Current KeepTradeCut Value:

Chris Godwin Jr., Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. has had some tough injury luck in recent years. He dislocated his ankle in a Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens in 2024 and missed eight total games during the 2025 season. Godwin missed three of those games due to that ankle dislocation and another five games due to a fibula injury.

But Godwin remained a high-floor fantasy option when he was on the field this past year. He scored in double figures in PPR formats in four of the final seven games of the season, which included a big performance in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins. The veteran caught seven passes for 108 yards and one touchdown en route to a 23.8 PPR fantasy point day.

That end-of-season stretch should give dynasty managers confidence that the slot playmaker could be a solid WR3 option for the next two years at least. Mike Evans will be a free agent, and Baker Mayfield seems to like Godwin in the middle of the field. He caught at least five passes in three of the last five games.

Godwin also won't cost dynasty managers much this offseason. He is coming off back-to-back injury seasons and just turned 30 years old. So, a mid-third-round pick could get the job done.

Current KeepTradeCut Value:

DK Metcalf, Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf is the youngest playmaker on this list, having just turned 28 years old in December. Although he will be entering his eighth NFL season this upcoming year, Metcalf is a solid wide receiver to target in trades in most dynasty leagues this offseason. The 6-foot-4 wide receiver still has multiple years of solid production moving forward.

Metcalf's fantasy value might be trending down heading into the 2026 season. He has finished outside the top 24 at the WR position in back-to-back years and has scored under 200 total PPR fantasy points in both of those campaigns. However, some of the blame could lie with the quarterbacks he has had to catch passes from. Metcalf has caught passes from Geno Smith and Aaron Rodgers in both of those seasons.

While there are question marks about who the Steelers plan to roll with next year, having Mike McCarthy as his head coach could actually help his fantasy production. McCarthy's offenses in the past have been extremely fantasy-friendly.

Wide receivers like Adams, Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, and CeeDee Lamb are some of the few players who have thrived in McCarthy's offense. So, trust the talent in this situation. Metcalf has the potential to be a WR2 in fantasy again and still has two to four solid years left in him before things start to tail off. It might only take a second-round pick to acquire the Steelers wide receiver.

Current KeepTradeCut Value:

Jauan Jennings, Free Agent

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings is the only free agent on this list, which makes trading for him at this moment a bit risky. Nonetheless, the San Francisco 49ers have already said this offseason that they want to re-sign Jennings to a multiyear deal. Assuming he does wind up back in San Francisco, he's a cheaper wide receiver to target in dynasty formats.

Jennings has been a productive fantasy wide receiver in each of the past two years. He averaged 14 PPR fantasy points across 15 games in 2024 and averaged 11.1 PPR fantasy points across 15 games in 2025. Even though his fantasy numbers were down last year, the Tennessee product averaged 14.8 PPR fantasy points over the final nine weeks.

With Brandon Aiyuk set to be traded at some point this offseason, Jennings should be in store for another solid receiving season in San Francisco. He won't turn 29 years old until July and was one of Brock Purdy's favorite targets in the passing game toward the end of the season. The veteran caught eight touchdown passes in the team's final nine games.

Jennings will probably only cost a late second-round or early third-round pick this offseason. His potential to average around 14 PPR fantasy points makes him a worthy aging veteran target in most dynasty leagues.
