With the NFL regular season in the books, and dynasty fantasy football managers are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2026 offseason. While the 2026 NFL Draft is the highlight, managers could also look to be active in the trade market and acquire players at a discount following a disappointing season.

While some players struggled due to performance, many suffered severe injuries, which have significantly hindered their current dynasty value. In this piece, we will spotlight seven players who are prime "buy-low" candidates and should see their prices quickly rise once they step on the field in 2026.

Below each player, we will look at their "peak" KeepTradeCut (KTC) value during the calendar year and compare it with their current KTC value, showing how public perception has changed for that player. While KTC is not the end-all for evaluating trades, it is a strong indicator of public perception of a player. Who can fantasy managers acquire at a stark discount heading into the offseason? Injured Quarterbacks to Buy in Dynasty Fantasy Football

Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

Daniel Jones was not even guaranteed a starting job heading into training camp, as he was in stiff competition with Anthony Richardson Sr. for the QB1 role in Indianapolis. However, the Duke product would not only claim the lead job but look like a potential MVP candidate during the first half of the season.

Over his first 12 games, Jones averaged 253.4 passing yards per game with 24 total TDs (19 passing) with seven interceptions. Unfortunately, in Week 14, Jones suffered a right torn Achilles, which cut his season short. On a points-per-game basis, Jones was QB12 (18.0 FPTS/G). The Colts would then bring in Philip Rivers in hopes of saving their season as Richardson (eye) remained unable to play.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jones officially underwent surgery on December 13, which would put him in a position to be active for training camp, given his 6-8 month recovery window. However, Jones' value remains quite affordable on KTC given that he is an unrestricted free agent.

His health and unknown future on the roster make his long-term value difficult to project. However, savvy managers should seize this opportunity and acquire a solid QB2 at a stark discount.

In January, Colts GM Chris Ballard noted that the Colts intend to re-sign Jones ahead of his impending free agency. While no deal is certain, given the current state of their QB room, Jones would face minimal competition for the starting job and is their best option if this team intends to remain in its competitive window.

The 28-year-old possesses solid rushing upside and will continue to have high-end pass-catchers around him in Tyler Warren and Michael Pittman Jr., and one of the game's top running backs, Jonathan Taylor. Managers looking to acquire a cheap QB2 with upside or even down-tier from a "high-end" QB2 like Jared Goff should look to target Jones ahead of his eventual re-signing. Once he signs the contract with the Colts, his price will jump much higher.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

The other QB to buy is strictly for competing teams. Mahomes was on his way to turning in another top-5 QB season, as he averaged an elite 21.2 FPTS/G (third most at the position) before his season was cut short due to a torn ACL and LCL. Over his first 12 games of the season, Mahomes averaged 269.8 passing yards per game with an impressive 348 rushing yards.

He tossed 22 passing scores and punched in another four with his legs. To make this event more impressive, he was without his top wideout, Rashee Rice, for the first six games, and his No. 2 WR, Xavier Worthy, saw his upside hindered all season as he played through a torn labrum (more on him later).

Entering his age-30 season, Mahomes' value has taken a bit of a hit, falling to the QB8 in KTC. Even though Travis Kelce may have played his last snap, Mahomes will have two high-end WRs at his disposal with his former OC, Eric Bieniemy, back on the sidelines.

Expect a major resurgent season from Mahomes. Managers can potentially acquire a legit top-5 QB at a low-end top-10 price.

Injured Running Backs to Buy in Dynasty Fantasy Football

Trey Benson, Arizona Cardinals

Following a quiet rookie season, Trey Benson saw his name emerge as a top "buy" candidate heading into his sophomore season. Those who did so were sitting quite comfortably in the opening month, as Benson began to carve out a reliable role behind workhorse James Conner.

Once Conner suffered a season-ending foot injury in Week 3, nothing appeared to be standing in the way of a breakout season for the Florida State product.

Unfortunately, Benson would see his reign as the Arizona RB1 last all but one game as he suffered a knee injury during the loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. Despite the disappointing results, Benson showed solid upside and could finally put together a full season in 2026.

Through four games in 2025, Benson averaged an elite 5.5 YPC (on 29 attempts) with 13 catches (on 16 targets) for another 64 yards. During these four games, he posted two runs for greater than 20 yards, and even had one for greater than 40, showcasing his big-play ability.

Even though Conner is under contract through the 2026 season, seeing Benson log over 44% of the snaps in all but one game shows that he can hold value even as the RB2 on the roster. Additionally, this foot injury is yet another ailment in Conner's NFL career. Since making his debut in 2017, Conner has appeared in more than 13 games in just two seasons.

Benson would be sitting as a top-18 RB if he had stayed healthy this season. Acquire him at a steep discount before the Year 3 breakout.

J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos

Dobbins might be the perfect buy option for contending teams. At the beginning of the season, Dobbins was not even guaranteed the starting role as the Broncos selected rookie RJ Harvey in Round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. However, Dobbins quickly took the lead job and was a high-end RB2 for most of the season before suffering a foot injury in Week 10.

Through the first 10 games as a Bronco, Dobbins averaged a solid 11.6 PPR points per game with 77.2 rushing yards per game. He punched in four touchdowns and averaged an impressive 5.0 YPC.

While Harvey is the shiny toy in the backfield, Dobbins was the preferred option for half the offense and would have likely remained in this role during the back half if he had not gotten injured. Additionally, Dobbins nearly returned from the AFC Championship and could have retaken the backfield, or at least been given a significant amount of Harvey's workload on the national stage.

Fortunately, managers dodged this and can still acquire the 27-year-old at a low price. Harvey should continue to grow in this offense and likely take the third-down role. However, the early down and short-yardage situations are Dobbins' to lose.

Even as a pending free agent, Dobbins has made it clear he wants to return to Denver. Managers needing to bolster their RB depth should target this potential RB2 at a low price.

Injured Wide Receivers to Buy in Dynasty Fantasy Football

Brandon Aiyuk, San Francisco 49ers

Calling Brandon Aiyuk a "buy-low" may seem obvious, but the dynasty community continues to lower his value. Currently, the former San Francisco standout sits as the WR68 on KTC below players who have shown minimal upside at the NFL level, like Tory Horton and Adonai Mitchell.

Aiyuk earned a massive contract extension heading into the 2024 season, but would suffer a torn ACL and MCL in Week 7, cutting his season short. In 2025, Aiyuk was in contention to return, but he never even set foot on the field after the team voided all guarantees on his contract in 2026. Earlier in January, 49ers GM John Lynch stated that Aiyuk will not play for the 49ers again.

While he is a volatile asset, managers looking to pay as low as a 2027 third-round pick (as per KTC value estimators) could acquire a potential WR2/FLEX option. When on the field, Aiyuk has been a must-start fantasy option and is in dire need of a change of scenery.

In 2023, he tallied 1,342 yards and seven scores on 75 catches. At age 27, Aiyuk still holds high upside despite his dreadful 2025 season.

Xavier Worthy, Kansas City Chiefs

Following a dominant second half in his rookie campaign, Worthy was valued as a borderline WR2 in dynasty. Over his last seven games of the 2024 regular season (excluding Week 18), Worthy averaged 15.6 PPR points per game and totaled 56.0 yards per game. In the postseason, Worthy would tally 95.7 yards per game with three scores (over three games).

However, his second year would start in the worst way possible, as he suffered a torn labrum on the team's opening drive after colliding with his tight end, Kelce. While he would only miss two games due to this, he would not look like his rookie self. This injury clearly lingered throughout the season, making him a prime buy-low candidate.

From Weeks 4 through 16, Worthy would average a low 44.3 yards per game with just 9.2 PPR points per game. After finding the end zone nine times as a rookie, he would do so just once as a sophomore.

With his QB, Mahomes, dealing with his own injury, the former 28th overall pick carries an all-time low value heading into 2026. While he won't be the WR1 on his team with Rice leading the charge, he could take on de facto WR2 duties with Kelce nearing the end of his legendary career.

With a healthy offseason, expect Worthy to return to his big-play ability (both as a pass-catcher and rusher) in 2026.

Injured Tight Ends to Buy in Dynasty Fantasy Football

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers

Calling the TE5 on KTC a buy-low may seem a bit ridiculous, but Tucker Kraft was on pace to give Trey McBride a solid run for the TE1 title in 2025 and may have finished the season as a top-3 dynasty TE. Before suffering a torn ACL in Week 9, Kraft was averaging an elite 16.2 PPR points per game and 67.0 yards per game over his first eight contests of the season.

Kraft found the back of the end zone six times and even drew at least five targets in four of them. On a per-game basis, Kraft was tied for the TE2 in FPTS/G trailing only the previously noted McBride, who had one of the most dominant single-season performances by a tight end in NFL history.

Kraft emerged as Jordan Love's go-to option and was on pace to become the de facto WR1 on the roster. While Christian Watson was not on the field yet as he recovered from his injury, Kraft was drawing high targets across the field and showing elite YAC ability. Through eight games, he tallied six receptions of 20+ yards and was on pace to smash his total of 11 receptions of 20+ yards from 2024.

With Romeo Doubs likely to test free agency, Kraft should quickly take on his high target share once back on the field. Managers looking to "tier down" from a top tight end like Warren (ranked as TE3) or even from the top-2 options (Brock Bowers/McBride) should target Kraft, as he possesses just as much upside as them on a per-game basis, but at a much lower cost.

Pivoting off Bowers to acquire Kraft with another high-end asset is a move retoolers should consider this offseason.
