Players to Consider Cutting for Week 8
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 75% Rostered
After missing time with a string injury, Mike Evans made his return during their Week 7 contest on Monday evening against the Detroit Lions. However, Evans would unfortunately suffer another injury, this time a more serious one, a broken collarbone. Shortly after, the Buccaneers placed him on injured reserve, keeping him sidelined for at least the next four weeks.
However, given the severity of this injury, Evans is expected to miss around eight weeks of action. While he could theoretically return for the fantasy football players, managers in shallower and standard leagues without IR spots should not consider stashing the future Hall of Famer.
Managers in deeper leagues with an extra bench or IR spot should continue to hold him as he could make an impact later in the campaign. However, this outcome is very unlikely.

TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots - 80% Rostered
TreVeyon Henderson has been one of the most disappointing players in fantasy football this season. In the preseason, Henderson flashed his elite talent but has since been deployed as the clear No. 2 behind Rhamondre Stevenson. Even with Antonio Gibson (knee) out for the season, Henderson still stands as the clear RB2 on this roster.
In fact, this past weekend, the former Ohio State standout took just two rushing attempts, a season low.
Given his drop in usage, Henderson is quickly falling into "handcuff territory." Managers in deeper leagues should continue to view Henderson as a priority stash, but he is quickly falling out of favor with those in shallower formats, given his near-minimal standalone value.
Other handcuffs like Blake Corum or Tyler Allgeier tend to have higher weekly upside than Henderson.
Justin Fields, New York Jets - 55% Rostered
Justin Fields wasted little time making an impact in his Jets debut when he scored an impressive 31.7 PPR points during the loss to the Steelers. Over his next three games, Field would eclipse 24.0 PPR points twice and become a viable QB1 in all formats.
However, in Weeks 6 and 7, Fields would tally just 5.0 PPR points per game and would be benched in Week 7 in favor of the veteran Tyrod Taylor. Given that Fields is not even guaranteed the starting job this weekend, he is safe to cut in all one-QB leagues head of Week 8.

Kendrick Bourne, San Francisco 49ers - 35% Rostered
Kendrick Bourne looked like a potential waiver-wire gem for those who picked him up before Week 5. In this game, Bourne caught 10 of his 11 targets for 142 yards. Then in Week 6, Bourne continued to operate as the clear WR1 in San Francisco, catching five of his nine targets for another 142 yards.
However, with George Kittle and Jauan Jennings back ation, Bourne has seen his opportunities plummet. In Week 7, Bourne was targeted just two times and tallied a mere 14 yards. While he should still operate as the No. 2 WR this weekend, he is becoming the clear No. 4 option in an offense that features Christian McCaffrey, Kittle, and Jennings.
He is fine holding in deeper three-WR leagues, but he is a safe player to cut in all standard 12-team formats that require only two WRs. He is a desperation FLEX option in deeper formats in Week 8, facing a tough Houston secondary.
