Matt's running back (RB) fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 15 of 2025. His RB lineups advice for Week 15 fantasy football start/sit decisions.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, that’s right, I’m talking about fantasy playoffs, and visions of sugar plums are the furthest things from dancing in my head; fantasy managers are thinking about fantasy glory.
Last week, Jahmyr Gibbs was the fantasy Santa Claus, delivering 37 fantasy points to all the good boys and girls. If you played against him, unfortunately, you ended up with a lump of coal. Meanwhile, RJ Harvey, Blake Corum, and Jaylen Wright turned out to be stocking stuffers that served a more valuable purpose than socks (although I can’t wait for more socks).
Let’s dive into your RotoBaller starts and sits at the running back position for Week 15, and make the strategic choices that will take you one step closer to fantasy glory. It’s time to set your lineups and take control of your playoff destiny!

Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Booms
Travis Etienne Jr. - RB, Jacksonville Jaguars vs New York Jets
Don’t look now, but Travis Etienne Jr. is sitting just 83 yards shy of his third 1,000-yard rushing season in his first four years and is averaging 4.56 yards per carry on the season. Considering Etienne had 558 yards on the ground in 13 contests last season, it’s all the more impressive.
This week, there is a good chance that Etienne gets all that and then some, as the Jets have allowed 139.5 rushing yards per game this season and 168.0 yards on the ground over the last three weeks. On the season, Etienne has quietly averaged 14.6 fantasy points per game (RB10) and, since Week 9, has produced 15 or more fantasy points in five of six games, averaging 16.4 fantasy points.

In those last five contests, Etienne has had six total touchdowns, including a pair last week against the Colts, where he also totalled 82 yards from scrimmage. Fantasy managers should confidently start Etienne as a solid RB1 this week. If you need to look deeper down your bench for a flex option, make sure to consider Bhayshul Tuten, who is also in line for a productive afternoon.
Devin Singletary - RB, New York Giants vs Washington Commanders
I’m going to lean into this one a little and say, after being carted off the field with a hip injury, Tyrone Tracy Jr. is likely to miss this contest, giving way to Devin Singletary to handle the lion's share of the touches out of the backfield.

Back in Week 13, Singletary was already carving out a larger role in the offense. With Tracy’s injury, Singletary would go on to finish with 12 yards of total offense on 15 touches and produce 19.2 fantasy points, which was enough to earn RB7 honours for the week. It also marked the third game in his last four in which Singletary has walked away from the week with at least 10 fantasy points.
While Singletary isn’t a true RB1, since Week 10, the Giants' back is the RB18, averaging 13 fantasy points per game, and faces a Commanders defense that has allowed a league-high 37.83 fantasy points per game to the position over the last four weeks. Last week, the Commanders allowed Aaron Jones Sr. to average 5.7 yards per carry while Jordan Mason churned out 4.7 yards per carry of his own.
TreVeyon Henderson - RB, New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills
Before the Patriots went on their Week 13 bye, we saw how the team might deploy TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson moving forward. The 15 opportunities Henderson garnered were an even split with the 15 in which Stevenson had, which is a far cry from the usage early on in the season before the Stevenson injury.

With those 15 opportunities, Henderson would go on to demonstrate his explosive play-making ability, averaging 6.6 yards per carry in comparison to Stevenson's 3.3 yards per attempt. At the same time, the total scrimmage yards were also relatively equal, meaning this is more in line with what we can expect moving forward. With Henderson’s ability to break a long one any moment, the solid floor also encases one of the higher ceilings at the running back position.
Against the Bills, teams have found success running the ball, as the Bills' defense allows, on average, 135.5 rushing yards per game and 25 fantasy points per contest. Over the last four weeks, while the rushing yards are down, the five rushing touchdowns are the second-most over that period, and the six total touchdowns surrendered to opposing backs are the third-most.
Week 15 - Potential Fantasy Football Busts
Josh Jacobs - RB, Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos
As good as Josh Jacobs is as a runner, the Green Bay Packers may need to deploy his services this week as a pass protector to keep Jordan Love upright. While it’s bad enough for Jacobs' fantasy outlook that the Broncos are second in the NFL in rushing yards allowed (89.0 per game), they are also second in fantasy points against (16.96), and first in sacks by a wide margin with 55.
Over the last three games, Denver has clamped down further on opposing backs, limiting production to 81.7 rushing yards per game. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Denver has allowed 95.7 rushing yards per game on the road this season. This game is in the friendly confines of Empower Field at Mile High, where the Broncos allow a mere 81.2 rushing yards per game.
Most fantasy managers can ill afford to leave a back who has averaged 17.3 fantasy points per game this season on the bench. Nonetheless, take the initiative—build contingency plans into your lineup this week so you’re ready to respond to matchups as needed.
Breece Hall - RB, New York Jets at Jacksonville Jaguars
How often do you hear me reference that the New York Jets put the “fun” in dysfunctional? I swear it’s at least once every two to three weeks. Tyrod Taylor went down early last week with an injury that can only be described as playing for the New York Jets. In Taylor's absence, the Jets turned to Brady Cook. It didn’t go well, and here we are heading into week 15 with Breece Hall begging for the conclusion of the 2025 season.
The only path of fantasy success for Hall is if New York tucks their tail between their legs and goes back to Justin Fields, and even then, does it matter? Miami held Hall and the Jets' running game to 65 yards on 17 attempts, with Hall accounting for 43 of those rushing yards. In a game that was over before the end of the first quarter, one might have expected Hall to be featured in the pass game. Nope, just one target.
Miami, on the season, has allowed the seventh-most rushing yards (131.0 per game); meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the other end of the defensive spectrum, allowing 82.9 rushing yards per game, the fewest in the league.
Further complicating matters is the fact that the Jaguars have allowed, on average, 17.92 fantasy points per game, the fourth-fewest on the season, and over the last four weeks, where they’ve been slightly better, surrendering 15.73 per contest.
Kyren Williams - RB, Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions
All anyone wants to talk about this week is the reemergence of Corum within the Los Angeles Rams offense. Corum had himself a breakout type performance in Week 14, averaging 10.7 yards per carry, on his way to 128 yards on the ground and a pair of touchdowns. It marked the second consecutive week in which Corum has averaged at least 10 yards per rushing attempt.
While the drum beats continue to get louder for Corum, it’s not like Kyren Williams had a bad day. Williams averaged a respectable 6.65 yards per carry on his 13 attempts, resulting in a touchdown of his own and 17 fantasy points.
Since Week 10, Williams and Corum have seen a relatively even distribution of backfield carries. Williams has averaged 12.8 rushing attempts over his previous five contests, while Corum has averaged 10 carries per week since Week 9.
With their backfield a near split, it’s hard to get excited about either back this week against a Lions team that has held running backs to a fantasy-low of 16.32 fantasy points per game on the season. Maximize your chances—look elsewhere for stable production and give your team the best shot at advancing. Math is easy: 102.7 rushing yards divided by two helps no one.
