DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (11/16/16): NBA DFS Advice

By Keith Allison from Hanover, MD, USA (John Wall, Stephen Curry) [CC BY-SA 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for 11/16/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings NBA DFS lineups.

Every night, temptations lies in the names of LeBron James, James Harden, DeMarcus Cousins, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook. Need I continue? Each of the aforementioned batch of superstars all own a very scary, daily fantasy wallet-denting price. However, when each are capable of breaking out well over 50 fantasy points, it's difficult to ever fade any of them.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/16/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @vladewet.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Stephen Curry – PG, GS ($9,400)

With the way Curry has been pulling the trigger from downtown, I'm not sure it's possible to avoid him in daily fantasy. Curry has posted two straight showings of 50+ fantasy points, including 29 three-pointers made on an insane 47 attempts over his last four contests. Curry, slightly overshadowed by the arrival of Kevin Durant, has begun to heat up. Don't forget about me, Curry said, sinking his 13th three of the night, last week. He seems locked in.

Toronto has been one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference this season, and should pose a bit of a threat to a visiting Golden State Warriors club. Although, the Raptors are last in the league in defending point guards, inviting a ton of appeal and reason to drafting Curry Wednesday night. He's listed at a high price, but still sits below the $10,000 mark.

Tomas Satoransky – PG, WAS ($4,600)

Satoransky is handcuffed to the status of John Wall. But even if Wall plays, Satoransky has earned some consideration in daily fantasy. In the absence of Wall in Washington's most recent contest, Satoransky logged 31 minutes of court time, dropping 12 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. His price is indicative of the damage he's still capable of posting even with Wall in the lineup. He's certainly a punt, but could see another boost in minutes in Washington's backcourt if Bradley Beal misses another game. The Wizards luckily draw a 76ers squad that has won only once in 10 games played this season.

Jamal Murray – PG/SG, DEN ($3,700)

A ton of injuries already plague the Denver Nuggets, specifically in their backcourt. Emmanuel Mudiay and the less-than-threating Jameer Nelson remain as the sole fantasy-relevant options at the guard-position in Denver with Gary Harris and Will Barton both likely to miss action on Wednesday. Enter Jamal Murray.

Murray was a nonexistent threat in the beginning of the season, but has contributed of late, posting two 25-plus fantasy point showings over his last three games, including an impressive performance of 30.25 fantasy points against the Golden State Warriors. He's inexpensive and faces off against a Phoenix Suns team that has allowed the most points per game this season.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Tobias Harris – SF/SG, DET ($6,500)

Andre Drummond is questionable to play Wednesday night, leaving the possibility of another outstanding showing from Tobias Harris wide, wide open. Harris is coming off one of his best performances of the early season, where he posted 22 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks, a steal, and two from downtown, and has already proved to be more than capable of breaking out for more than 40 fantasy points (twice so far in 2016).

The Pistons head to New York to face the Knicks under the bright lights at Madison Square Garden, a place that hasn't exactly been considered formidable of late. The Knicks are coming off of a win, but it came against the 2-7, Dirk Nowitzki-less Dallas Mavericks. Joakim Noah hasn't looked to threatening down low, while the Knicks have struggled to defend against opponents in general.

Anthony Davis – PF/C, NO ($10,900)

The Brow has posted 50-plus fantasy points in five straight games. I feel the need to repeat that. 50-plus fantasy points in five straight games. Anthony Davis, despite the sporadic, disappointing let-down performances that occur when we least expect them to, has already put his name in MVP-considerations. The Pelicans are coming off only their second win of the season, and will likely be in a tight game against the Orlando Magic. Expect Davis to pull the trigger frequently. His price is ridiculously high, yet his ceiling is always higher.

Markieff Morris – SF/PF, WAS ($6,100)

There aren't many scoring threats on the Wizards these days, especially with both John Wall and Bradley Beal less than 100% healthy. Morris is another guy that seemingly explodes for big fantasy points when he feels like it, but is coming off a 51.75 fantasy point showing against the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards head to Philadelphia, making me wonder what Morris is capable of against a team of lesser talent. He's affordable and has a tendency to flirt with double-doubles.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Tyson Chandler – C, PHO ($4,900)

Following the unfortunate and untimely death of his mother, Chandler is set to return to action this week. The big man in Phoenix, likely playing with a heavy heart covered by his passion and Suns uniform, will have one thing on his mind; making his mother proud and playing well in her honor. He should have an easy time doing so, although his opponent is irrelevant at this point, against the Denver Nuggets.

The Nuggets have allowed 108.2 points per game, tied for 25th most in the league. Chandler has impressed more with his rebounding abilities this season, and throughout his career, and could struggle against one of the best rebounding teams in the league. But when you post 18 rebounds in back-to-back contests earlier in the month, there is no question that Chandler is up for the challenge.

Kevin Love – PF/C, CLE ($7,800)

It's hard to avoid drafting a player whose price tag is listed below $8,000, who has posted a double-double in six of nine games this season, including four straight. The taste of glory has continued to linger around Kevin Love, and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he, The King, and the rest of the defending champions look hungry every time they lace up.

The Cavaliers head to Indiana for an Eastern Conference showdown with the Pacers. Indiana has been fairly decent this season, but currently lie in the bottom-10 of points allowed and rebounds allowed in the league. Love should be drafted in both tournaments and head-to-head contests.
