Eric Singleton Jr. Likely to Miss Week 2
Florida wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. (ankle) is not expected to be available for the team's Week 2 game against Campbell. While he could miss this week, the expectation is to have Singleton ready for Week 3 against Auburn. Singleton transferred to Florida from Auburn, so that's a game he would like to be active for. He didn't make any catches in Week 1 against FAU. Vernell Brown III led the Gators with 117 yards and a score across six receptions. TJ Abrams had a 63-yard grab for his lone reception, while Dallas Wilson made three grabs for 47 yards. No other Florida pass catcher had over 32 receiving yards. Campbell is 2-0, but has played much weaker competition than Florida. The Fighting Camels allowed 37 points and 373 passing yards against East Tennessee State, while giving up 19 points and 326 passing yards against Western Carolina, so Florida's active wideouts and pass catchers have a very favorable matchup ahead.
