The Week 12 NFL slate features a little bit of everything, as we see intriguing divisional matchups such as the Vikings vs. Packers and Cowboys vs. Eagles, as well as blockbuster meetings in the Colts vs. Chiefs and Bucs vs. Rams.

With many of the squads in action still firmly eyeing the NFL Playoffs, the intensity will only continue to pick up with each passing week of the season.

Buffalo Bills 23, Houston Texans 17 (Thursday Night)

We've seen some crazy things happen on Thursday nights this season, and the Bills will look to avoid a road upset in Week 12 against a Houston squad that possesses an elite defense but will once again be without quarterback C.J. Stroud, who continues to recover from a concussion.

Buffalo has looked vulnerable on the ground at times this season, but we're not too optimistic that a shaky Texans offensive line and unsettled backfield can take advantage of that weakness. Look for Houston to hang around in this one, but we're giving the edge to the team with Josh Allen under center.

Green Bay Packers 21, Minnesota Vikings 14

The Packers have been far from impressive over the past month, as home losses to the Panthers and Eagles preceded last week's tight victory over the Giants in New York. Green Bay returns to Lambeau Field to host the divisional-rival Vikings in Week 12.

Minnesota fans hoped an upset win over the Lions in Week 9 would spark this squad to a strong finish down the second half of the season. Instead, Minnesota enters this one having lost two straight. The frustrations largely land on the shoulders of second-year QB J.J. McCarthy, who has been often erratic and consistently underwhelming. While Green Bay could be without Josh Jacobs in this one, Micah Parsons and the Packers defense should be able to force McCarthy into some mistakes.

Kansas City Chiefs 28, Indianapolis Colts 24

The surprising 8-2 Colts travel to Arrowhead for an AFC clash against the Chiefs in what's one of the more intriguing matchups of Week 12. Patrick Mahomes and company will look to rebound from a Week 11 loss to the Broncos which dropped them to 5-5 on the season.

This will certainly be a legitimate measuring stick for the upstart Colts, who have the advantage of coming in off a bye. Jonathan Taylor has been a force on the ground, though he'll face a stout test against a KC front that's allowing the NFL's ninth-fewest rushing yards per game. While I believe Indy is far from being a fraud, I'll give the edge to a battle-tested Chiefs group that has far more big-game experience.

New England Patriots 31, Cincinnati Bengals 20

The scheduling gods continue to bless the Patriots. After a stretch of games that's included the Saints, Titans, Browns, and Jets, Mike Vrabel's squad will travel to Cincinnati to face a Bengals squad that fields the NFL's worst defense, and will be without superstar wideout Ja'Marr Chase, who is serving a one-game suspension following a spitting incident last week.

New England's Drake Maye-led offense comes into this one firing to the tune of 26.4 points per game. The emergence of rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson in recent weeks has added a game-breaking presence that makes the Pats even more dangerous. Cincy's abysmal defense has been continually whipped this year, and there's no reason to think this matchup will be any different.

Pittsburgh Steelers 23, Chicago Bears 20

The Steelers enter this Week 12 matchup with the 7-3 Bears with several injury question marks, most notably the status of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and running back Jaylen Warren. While those concerns shouldn't be brushed aside, it's fair to wonder how much Rodgers' potential absence will disrupt a Steelers offense that's averaging the NFL's fourth-fewest total yards per game.

Though the Bears have now won seven of their last eight, I suppose I still fall on the side of being skeptical. Chicago's offense has been good statistically - and Ben Johnson undoubtedly has this organization headed in the right direction - but Caleb Williams' knack for holding onto the football could spell disaster against a trending Steelers pass rush. Mike Tomlin has made a living out of winning these sorts of games on the road.

Baltimore Ravens 31, New York Jets 13

While it hasn't always been pretty, Baltimore has managed to reel off four consecutive victories to stand at 5-5. With Lamar Jackson firmly back in action and a defense that's getting healthy, the Ravens will attempt to make a serious postseason push down the stretch.

They should find little resistance against the lowly Jets this week. New York has announced Tyrod Taylor as their Week 12 starter, though it's doubtful the career back-up can provide much of a spark thanks to throwing to what's arguably the league's worst wide receiving corps with Garrett Wilson on the sidelines.

Detroit Lions 34, New York Giants 21

The Lions return to Ford Field in hopes of rebounding from losses in two of their last three. Though the 2-9 Giants might seem like a great rebound spot, their record belies the fact that they've largely been competitive throughout much of the season.

While Jaxson Dart is still listed as questionable as of this writing, it appears likely that he'll suit up in Week 12, a factor that could energize the New York offense to an extent. However, the issues for the G-Men lie on the defensive side of the ball, as they've been routinely torched on the ground in 2025, allowing the league's third-most rushing yards per game.

With Dan Campbell now calling the plays in Motown, look for the Lions to feed the dynamic duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery early and often in this plus matchup.

Seattle Seahawks 28, Tennessee Titans 10

While Sam Darnold's first year in Seattle has been largely brilliant, he suffered the sort blow-up game in Week 11 that's haunted him throughout his professional career. Darnold tossed four interceptions in the team's 21-19 loss to the Rams last week. Luckily for him and this Seahawks offense, he draws a tremendous bounce-back spot against the abysmal Titans in Week 12.

Tennessee ranks near the bottom of the NFL in nearly every imaginable statistical category both offensively and defensively. It's hard to find a silver lining in Music City at the moment, and the Titans should continue their march toward having the No. 1 overall pick in the draft for a second consecutive year against the supremely talented Seahawks.

Arizona Cardinals 27, Jacksonville Jaguars 24

Two of the NFL's most unpredictable squads meet in the desert in Week 12, as the Jaguars travel west on the heels of an impressive Week 11 victory over the Chargers, while the Cardinals look to regroup from back-to-back beatdowns at the hands of NFC West rivals Seattle and San Francisco.

The statistical trends - especially Jacksonville's ability to run the ball and Arizona's ineffectiveness at stopping the run - point to a Jaguars victory here, but my gut has me on upset alert, as the Jags have put forth a couple of clunkers in their last two road games - an overtime escape against the Raiders and blowing a 19-point fourth-quarter lead against the Texans.

The passing duo of Jacoby Brissett and Michael Wilson has arguably been an upgrade over Kyler Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. for Arizona, and I expect to see them fight hard as home dogs this week.

Cleveland Browns 20, Las Vegas Raiders 17

While Shedeur Sanders undoubtedly looked overwhelmed when forced into action last week against the Ravens, a week's worth of practice reps with the 1s will help, as will a Las Vegas defense that's been largely toothless aside from the efforts of Maxx Crosby. Basically, I'm not sure that Sanders will be a downgrade from fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel for what's been a one-dimensional Browns offense.

My overall concerns land more with how the Raiders will move the ball against a Cleveland defense that's better than the team's record. Geno Smith has been bad by nearly every metric in his first season with the Silver & Black, while the Raiders offensive line has struggled in every regard. Myles Garrett and company could potentially wreak enough havoc to get the Browns their first road win of the season.

Philadelphia Eagles 27, Dallas Cowboys 23

It is strength vs. strength in this NFC East rivalry game, as the high-octane Cowboys offense takes on a trending Eagles defensive unit that's allowed just 16 combined points across their last two games. Dallas comes into this one on the heels of an emotionally-charged victory over the Raiders on Monday night, while Philly shut down the Lions in primetime on Sunday night.

For all the 'Boys are doing right offensively, things have been a disaster on the other side of the football. Matt Eberflus' defense has coughed up an eye-opening 29.3 points per game to opponents this season, while allowing an average of nearly 400 yards per game in total offense. Though the Philly offensive attack has certainly had some trouble consistently firing in 2025, they have enough explosive weapons to take advantage of this matchup.

Atlanta Falcons 21, New Orleans 20

Things aren't looking pretty for the Atlanta Falcons, who lost quarterback Michael Penix for the season with an ACL injury and will likely be without star wideout Drake London for the foreseeable future as he deals with a PCL issue. The losers of four straight, Atlanta will turn to veteran signal caller Kirk Cousins for this Week 12 divisional meeting in New Orleans.

Cousins struggled mightily in his most recent start - a shocking Week 8 blowout loss to the Dolphins. However, he will have the benefit of a week's worth of starter reps in practice to prepare for a Saints squad that logged a Week 10 win over the Panthers ahead of last week's bye. Rookie Tyler Shough has been fine since taking the reigns of the offense in Week 9, but the Falcons blitz-heavy scheme could lead to mistakes from the inexperienced QB.

Los Angeles Rams 28, Tampa Bay Bucs 27 (Sunday Night)

Mounting injuries might have finally caught up to the Bucs, who have now lost three of their last four. The road to the postseason doesn't get any easier for Baker Mayfield and company, as they must travel to the West Coast to face a tough Rams team on Sunday Night Football.

The Rams escaped last week's divisional meeting with the Seahawks by a score of 21-19. L.A. forced four turnovers against Seattle. Both Chris Godwin and Bucky Irving are listed as questionable as of this writing, though the addition of one or both the Tampa lineup would undoubtedly be a boost for an ailing Bucs attack. These are two high-quality football teams and I expect a back-and-forth affair with Mayfield keeping the Bucs in it until the end.

San Francisco 49ers 27, Carolina Panthers 17 (Monday Night)

Brock Purdy returned to the Niners lineup in Week 11 and promptly led San Fran to their highest point output of the season in a 41-22 win over the Cardinals. While a Monday night matchup at home against Carolina might appear to be an easy ask on the surface, the 6-5 Panthers have shown plenty of fight in 2025.

Carolina head coach Dave Canales is known as an offensive guru, but it's been the strides made by the Carolina defense that's led to their surprising competitiveness this season, as the Panthers currently rank eighth in defensive success rate. Despite that vast improvement, the Niners offensive attack led by Christian McCaffrey should find enough room to operate at a high level and take care of business in the Week 12 finale.
