Top Hitter Streamers - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Pickups and Starts for Week 19

TJ Friedl - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 19 of the 2023 season. Dawn Tepper analyzes the top batter streamers to pick up.

Welcome to another week of sifting through top hitter streamers, RotoBallers! We are looking ahead at the top hitter streamers and starts for fantasy baseball Week 19 -- Monday, July 31 through Sunday, August 6. For those new to this series, each week, our fantasy baseball waiver wire pickups column will identify hitters with good matchups and can be considered waiver wire streamers ahead of the Sunday night waiver wire runs for leagues with weekly transactions.

When you find yourself with a hole in your roster due to injury or otherwise, you need to find a week's worth of solid production from a new addition to your roster. That's where streaming comes in. Today, we will review potential hitters to stream in Week 19. Let's see which ones make the list.

We look into some hitters playing in most games and have favorable matchups to help you stay at the top as the season progresses. As always, check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamer content after you read this piece!

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

There are 12 teams playing seven games between Monday, July 31, and Sunday, August 6. Those teams are:

  • Milwaukee Brewers
  • Cincinnati Reds
  • Philadelphia Phillies
  • Chicago Cubs
  • Seattle Mariners
  • Toronto Blue Jays
  • New York Yankees
  • Houston Astros
  • Baltimore Orioles
  • Los Angeles Angels
  • Arizona Diamondbacks
  • Miami Marlins

None of the above teams are playing at Coors Field, but the San Diego Padres will be in Colorado from July 31-August 2. The Brew Crew will be in Washington, D.C. next week, where they will be facing two right-handed pitchers out of three and playing in hitter-friendly Nationals Park. The Bronx Bombers welcomed Aaron Judge back this week. In his second game versus the O's in New York, he went three-for-five with a home run and two RBI, giving him a 1.099 OPS for Saturday's game.

Week 19 Fantasy Baseball Hitter Streamers

TJ Friedl, OF - Cincinnati Reds (40% Rostered)

Next week, left-handed TJ Friedl and the Big Red Machine will be facing four right-handed pitchers, with four out of seven games taking place at the hitter-friendly Wrigley Field. Versus right-handed pitchers on the road, Friedl has a .305/.378/.391 slash line with a 115 wRC+.

Left-fielder Friedl's regular season performance has been solid, with a slash line of .283/.352/.428. Versus righties, he has six home runs and 31 RBI. He has 16 stolen bases on the season, and his 17.6% strikeout rate is the third-lowest on the team. We can expect big numbers from Friedl and the Reds next week in Chicago.

Sal Frelick, OF - Milwaukee Brewers (40% Rostered)

Rookie Sal Frelick has had a tremendous start to his MLB career. In his sixth career game against the Braves on July 28, the lefty went two-for-four with a walk and, with his additional three bases, he set a franchise record of 13 times on base through six games.

In seven career games, he is slashing .368/.481/.579 with a 1.06 OPS. This is obviously a small sample size, but Frelick is making strong contact and showing great discipline at the plate. Frelick and the Brewers will be traveling to Washington, D.C. next week, where they face the last-place Nationals, who have lost six of their last 10 games. Expect more fireworks next week from Frelick and Milwaukee in Washington.

Brandon Marsh, OF - Philadelphia Phillies (18% Rostered)

The Phillies will be in Miami for the first part of next week, facing the third-place Marlins. In 17 games versus Miami in his career, Brandon Marsh is batting .346 with 18 hits, two homers, 11 RBI, and four runs scored. He is slashing .375/.500/.563 for the last five games. Versus right-handed pitchers, he is batting .303/.391/.484 with five home runs and 32 RBI.

Marsh has been a steady contributor to the team this season, even in a loss against Pittsburgh on July 29. He had a double in the third inning, bringing in two runs and a sac-fly RBI in the fifth. Look for Marsh to continue adding to his slash line next week at LoanDepot Park.

J.P. Crawford, SS - Seattle Mariners (13% Rostered)

In his last 30 games, left-hander J.P. Crawford has a .304 batting average with 34 hits, four homers, 11 RBI, and 15 runs scored. Post All-Star break, Crawford is slashing .308/.419/.423. Versus righties for the season, he is .282/.397/.448 with eight home runs and 18 RBI.

After suffering a knee contusion earlier this week, Crawford was back and leading the lineup on Friday, July 28. He went one-for-four with a walk and a run scored in the Mariners' 5-2 win over Arizona. I expect Crawford to continue to impress next week versus Boston, where he will face two out of three right-handed pitchers.

Kevin Kiermaier, OF - Toronto Blue Jays (4% Rostered)

The Blue Jays and left-handed hitter Kevin Kiermaier will be at home facing Baltimore next week, where they will be facing right-handed pitchers for the entire series. For the season, Kiermaier is slashing .276/.338/.425 with five home runs and 23 RBI. He has five stolen bases at home and is batting .284/.368/.471.

Kiermaier has found success with the Blue Jays since leaving Tampa Bay, where in his last season, he had a .228/.281/.369 slash line. In his last five games, he is batting .353/.421/.412. I'll look for him to continue his hot streak at home versus Baltimore next week.
