The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft is now in the books. Naturally, mock drafts need to be adjusted just a bit because many teams got their preferred players at positions of need (or, in the case of the Atlanta Falcons, multiple players at their positions of need).

Because of this, how those teams will approach the second and third rounds has likely already changed. Of course, teams have plenty of contingency plays, but the tried-and-true method of taking the "best player available", combined with some players inexplicably falling further than teams expected, leads to an adjustment in their later-round approach.

A perfect example of this is Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell falling to the Philadelphia Eagles at pick 31. A consensus top-20 overall player on many draft boards shouldn't have fallen that far, but the Eagles got a steal. However, they still have a big need at pass-rusher. So with that in mind, and taking a similar approach for every other team, let's dive into a mock draft (excluding compensatory picks) for Round 2 and Round 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft!

Round 2

Cleveland Browns, Pick 2.01 - Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

I don't know what his injury history and speed issues will make teams do here, honestly. But he could be an excellent piece for this defense if they hold up.

Houston Texans, Pick 2.02 - Jonah Savaiinaea, OG, Arizona

I originally had this pick going to the Detroit Lions in Round 1. But the Texans are in dire need of offensive line help. The first round accounted for most of the good offensive tackle prospects, so it's better to take a good guard here.

Tennessee Titans, Pick 2.03 - Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

I'm surprised he fell this far, but pass-rusher is a big position of need for the Titans, and this year's WR class is weak. I could see them taking the next player here, though.

Cleveland Browns, Pick 2.04 - Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Shedeur Sanders' draft slide continues. Milroe has elite athletic traits for a quarterback. Perhaps he could be eased into the role and run a lot of run-play packages, like Justin Fields did last year.

Las Vegas Raiders, Pick 2.05 - Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

I'm not a fan of Burden's game, but his abilities after the catch are pretty solid. It's hard to know what NFL teams think about him right now, though. His route-running is not good.

New England Patriots, Pick 2.06 - Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State

The Patriots breathe a sigh of relief when Higgins falls to them. He could easily be the second-best WR in this class (after Travis Hunter). He's a prototypical "X" with fantastic athleticism and a lot of plus traits.

Chicago Bears, Pick 2.07 - Tate Rateledge, OG, Georgia

Many might be shocked at Chicago not picking a running back here, but the class is so deep that they can afford to wait. Meanwhile, Ben Johnson could build one of the most fearsome offensive lines in the NFL.

New Orleans Saints, Pick 2.08 - Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado 

Sanders would benefit from having Kellen Moore as his offensive coordinator, and Derek Carr's injury status remains unclear.

Chicago Bears, Pick 2.09 - Darius Alexander, DL, Toledo 

Ben Johnson surprises once again by again by not picking an RB. Building the trenches should be the priority, though.

New York Jets, Pick 2.10 - Jack Bech, WR, TCU

This might be seen as somewhat of a reach, but Bech is exactly the type of tough player that Aaron Glenn loves.

San Francisco 49ers, Pick 2.11 - Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota 

With Trent Williams aging out of the league soon, the 9ers have a desperate need at offensive tackle that they didn't address in the first round.

Dallas Cowboys, Pick 2.12 - Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss

Outside of CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys have no other threats at WR. After their usual boring first-round pick, they should address that issue.

Indianapolis Colts, Pick 2.13 - Miles Frazier, OG, LSU 

The Colts really need to shore up the interior of their offensive line.

Los Angeles Rams, Pick 2.14 - Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

The Rams didn't have a good secondary last year. Amos could help fix that.

Arizona Cardinals, Pick 2.15 - Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Green has character issues (bad ones at that), but the Cardinals will get a steal here, talent-wise, at their biggest position of need.

Miami Dolphins, Pick 2.16 - Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College

The Dolphins are in desperate need of another offensive tackle after Terron Armstead's retirement.

Cincinnati Bengals, Pick 2.17 - Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M

The Bengals got a pass-rusher in the first round, but still need more help in the defensive trenches.

Seattle Seahawks, Pick 2.18 - Kyle Williams, WR, Washington State

The Seahawks have two primarily slot receivers with minimal YAC ability as their top-2 wideouts right now. They need someone who can play outside and is good after the catch, which Williams is.

Denver Broncos, Pick 2.19 - TreVeyon Henderson, RB, Ohio State

The rumors of Henderson being a sure-fire 1st-round pick weren't accurate, but the Broncos would be happy to take him here. They need a real running back.

Seattle Seahawks, Pick 2.20 - Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Offensive line is a bigger need, even after choosing an OG in Round 1, but Mike Macdonald would be incredibly happy to get a great safety with this pick.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pick 2.21 - Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame 

The Bucs need serious help in the secondary. Morrison can replace the departed Carlton Davis III.

Green Bay Packers, Pick 2.22 - Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina

The Packers got sniped by the Bucs in this mock, but Revel should be a good corner when his torn ACL heals fully.

Los Angeles Chargers, Pick 2.23 - T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina

DT is a huge need for the Chargers. They could have a fearsome run defense with Sanders anchoring the trenches.

Buffalo Bills, Pick 2.24 - Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State

Noel would immediately be the best WR on the team, though he'd have to split slot snaps with Khalil Shakir. This isn't a great fit for Noel, but the Bills are simply taking BPA (best player available) here.

Carolina Panthers, Pick 2.25 - Omar Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee

No team had a worse run defense last season than the Carolina Panthers. So, taking the best DT available makes sense.

Houston Texans, Pick 2.26 - Anthony Belton, OT, NC State

I wouldn't blame the Texans for taking three offensive linemen with their first three picks.

Baltimore Ravens, Pick 2.27 - Jordan Burch, EDGE, Oregon 

The Ravens would be getting a steal here. Helps to have a good team without glaring needs (except at WR).

Detroit Lions, Pick 2.28 - JT Tuimoloau, EDGE, Ohio State

Once again, value is king, and Tuimoloau is worth an earlier pick, so the Lions would be wise to take him here.

Washington Commanders, Pick 2.29 - Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

The Commies pull off a masterclass of steals with Scourton, who had no business falling this far. But it's a deep class at pass-rusher.

Buffalo Bills, Pick 2.30 - Alfred Collins, DT, Texas

Run defense is the Bills' primary weakness every season. This would help.

Kansas City Chiefs, Pick 3.31 - Marcus Mbow, OG, Purdue

The trashing the Chiefs got in the Super Bowl should inspire them to load up the offensive line.

Philadelphia Eagles, Pick 2.32 - Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas

A hyper-athletic pass-rusher in the hands of Vic Fangio could do some serious damage. And EDGE is the Eagles' biggest need after losing Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham.

Round 3

New York Giants, Pick 3.01 - Darien Porter, CB, Iowa State

There have been rumblings that Porter is much better than advertised. If the Giants pick him, they'll have addressed their three biggest needs in the first three rounds.

Kansas City Chiefs, Pick 3.02 - Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State

Build, build, build the trenches. The Chiefs know this is the way.

Cleveland Browns, Pick 3.03 - Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

Running back is a clear need for the Browns, and they might see shades of Nick Chubb in Judkins.

Las Vegas Raiders, Pick 3.04 - Azareye'h Thomas, CB, Florida State

The Raiders' defense as a whole was terrible last year, but at least they have Mason Crosby. No such luck with marquee players in the secondary yet.

New England Patriots, Pick 3.05 - Oluwafemi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA

It's never a bad idea to draft more pass-rushers. Especially when you're thin at the position.

Jacksonville Jaguars, Pick 3.06 - Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee

Somehow, Sampson quietly broke SEC rushing records in 2024. Liam Coen should recognize his talent and pounce here.

New Orleans Saints, Pick 3.07 - Josaiah Stewart, EDGE, Michigan 

Despite great production, Stewart falls to the third round due to size and power concerns.

Chicago Bears, Pick 3.08 - RJ Harvey, RB, UCF 

Harvey goes screaming up draft boards due to his elite elusiveness, athleticism, and production. He's an older prospect, but many RBs don't earn long-term second contracts anyway.

New York Jets, Pick 3.09 - Ty Robinson, DT, Nebraska 

Glenn knows the value of building the trenches with tough and highly athletic defensive linemen.

Carolina Panthers, Pick 3.10 - Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State

Safety is a pretty devalued position. Good thing it's one the Panthers really need.

San Francisco 49ers, Pick 3.11 - Ty Robinson, DL, Nebraska

It seems like most teams need help along the defensive line. The 49ers are no exception. They could also go linebacker here, though.

Dallas Cowboys, Pick 3.12 - Kaleb Johnson, RB, Iowa 

Johnson is the type of RB the Cowboys would like (productive at a big school).

New England Patriots, Pick 3.13 - Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech

The antithesis of Rhamondre Stevenson is Tuten, who's an elite athlete. He would add a big explosive element to this backfield.

Arizona Cardinals, Pick 3.14 - Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville 

Arizona would be wise to use all their picks on defense in the first few rounds.

Houston Texans, Pick 3.15 - Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford

Ayomanor's consistency is a big issue, but a big WR with the size and athleticism to play outside would possibly help take pressure off Nico Collins.

Indianapolis Colts, Pick 3.16 - Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA 

Schwesinger falling to this spot would be a boon for the Colts, who need help in many spots on the defense.

Cincinnati Bengals, Pick 3.17 - Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

Cincy was shredded by opposing passing games in 2024. They need to fix that.

Seattle Seahawks, Pick 3.18 - Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss

The Seahawks (John Schneider) love drafting edge rushers with questionable athleticism or size.

Pittsburgh Steelers, Pick 3.19 - Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia

The Steelers would get a nice value here at a position of need in a class where the safeties have been solid values.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pick 3.20 - Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU 

The Bucs' defense was disappointing last season. After shoring up their secondary a bit, they need to start pressuring opposing quarterbacks more.

Denver Broncos, Pick 3.21 - Jaylen Royals, WR, Utah State

Outside of Courtland Sutton, the Broncos don't have any reliable wide receivers, and Royals could help add depth and potentially start in 2025.

Los Angeles Chargers, Pick 3.22 - Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State

The Chargers were blasted by the Houston Texans in the playoffs because they didn't have more than one reliable receiver.

Green Bay Packers, Pick 3.23 - Nohl Williams, CB, California 

Packers CB Jaire Alexander is usually hurt, and they don't have many good options behind him.

Jacksonville Jaguars, Pick 3.24 - JJ Pegues, DL, Ole Miss

Jacksonville's defensive line needs some help, and Pegues is a versatile player who could develop into a nice chess piece for them.

Houston Texans, Pick 3.25 - Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami

Dalton Schultz was absolutely dreadful last year, so the Texans would be wise to replace him.

Los Angeles Rams, Pick 3.26 - Tez Johnson, WR, Oregon 

Johnson's diminutive size causes him to fall, but he could be a great slot receiver for LA in the future.

Baltimore Ravens, Pick 3.27 - Sai'vion Jones, EDGE, TCU 

The Ravens are getting ahead of their own needs, becoming a problem. Kyle Van Noy is getting old.

Seattle Seahawks, Pick 3.28 - Caleb Rogers, OT, Texas Tech

The Seahawks should draft more offensive linemen. They've been thin at the position for decades.

New Orleans Saints, Pick 3.29 - Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon 

With Taysom Hill's injury and Juwan Johnson's ineffectiveness, it makes sense to try to address the TE problem here.

Cleveland Browns, Pick 3.30 - Tai Felton, WR, Maryland 

This offense is in shambles, but hey, at least they could get a fast receiver here.

Kansas City Chiefs, Pick 3.31 - Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina

Aside from Nick Bolton, the Chiefs are lacking in both depth and talent at linebacker.

Philadelphia Eagles, Pick 3.32 - Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, EDGE, Georgia

Ingram-Dawkins is a highly versatile player who could help fill the void at both pass-rusher and defensive tackle that the Eagles have.
