Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 16:
Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The 32-year-old will now head into a decent matchup against the Panthers in Week 16. Carolina is ranked in the middle of the pack in terms of fantasy points allowed to wideouts this season. The Bucs will look to get Evans involved in Week 16 after seeing double-digit targets last week. Fantasy managers should be able to count on Evans as a WR1 as he comes in as RotoBaller's WR8 for this weekend. The veteran wideout figures to see more of the field this week and is a must-start for the fantasy playoffs after being eased into action last Thursday.
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Cleveland Browns
The Browns are likely to face a negative game script against the Bills, which should help Judkins' floor in PPR formats, given his recent increased involvement in the passing game. Though the Bills' run defense is vulnerable overall, they have managed to hit running backs behind the line of scrimmage at the 6th-highest rate in the NFL at 49.3%. This is particularly troublesome for Judkins, who has been hit behind the line of scrimmage on 54.1% of his carries this season, the 2nd-highest among running backs, according to Next Gen Stats. Heading into Week 16, Judkins profiles as a risky low-end RB2 with a favorable matchup.
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Las Vegas Raiders
Jeanty is still running an average of 24 routes and seeing roughly six targets per game since Week 9, which provides a glimmer of hope for fantasy managers in PPR formats. However, even with quarterback Geno Smith (back, shoulder) to start in Week 16, the Raiders are struggling to gain momentum on offense, and Jeanty is a low-end RB2/Flex option this week with higher-than-normal bust potential despite his weekly double-digit touches.
D'Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
Swift has played 59% of the snaps this season, while seventh-round rookie Kyle Monangai has played 41%. They face the division rival Packers in a must-win game in Week 16. The Packers have allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, but lost All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons last week with an ACL injury. If Swift is good to go for this showdown, he should be considered an RB2 this week.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
The 25-year-old has seen four or fewer targets in four straight games. It's unlikely that Doubs gets more involved unless Watson or Wicks sit out. At the moment, both players are questionable for the Week 16 matchup versus the Chicago Bears. If they play, Doubs will remain a low-floor option for Week 16.
