Fantasy Football Draft Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider drafting in 2026:
Jerry Jeudy, Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy was disappointing last season in a sputtering Browns offense. He finished with 50 catches for 602 yards and two touchdowns across 17 games. The situation surrounding Jeudy wasn't great, but the supporting cast doesn't account for all of Jeudy's struggles. The 27-year-old was targeted 106 times but also led the NFL in drops with nine and had an abysmal 47.2% catch rate.
Cleveland's offense was at the bottom of the league last year and did Jeudy no favors last season after he racked up 1,229 receiving yards the year before. The Browns revamped their wide receiver room this offseason by drafting Texas A&M wideout KC Concepcion with the 24th pick and Washington wideout Denzel Boston with the 39th pick of the 2026 NFL Draft. Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond round out the rest of the Browns wide receiver room. Concepcion and Boston are legit options that could dethrone Jeudy as Cleveland's top wide receiver, and he will compete with emerging tight end Harold Fannin Jr. for targets. Jeudy's contract will keep him on the field.
Still, it will be tough for him to surpass 1,000 receiving yards with additional competition for targets regardless of whether Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders wins the Browns' starting quarterback job. RotoBaller projects Jeudy to catch 53 passes for 701 yards and four touchdowns in 2026. Jeudy is WR66 in the latest RotoBaller rankings, which aligns with Sleeper ADP of 179.
The Browns offense should be better this year, and Jeudy is worth taking a late-round flier in upcoming drafts.
Malachi Fields, New York Giants
When you think of hot messes, one of the first things that should come to mind is the state of the New York Giants' wide receiver room. For the Giants, Malik Nabers is their unquestioned top receiving threat; however, there are more questions surrounding his health than fantasy managers would like at this time of the year.
After Nabers, it's the Island of Misfit Toys with Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin III, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Isaiah Hodgins, Jalin Hyatt, Odell Beckham Jr., and third-round selection Malachi Fields. Despite plenty of names on the depth chart, New York still lacks talent at the position, and Fields immediately steps in as a true red-zone threat with his 6'4, 220-pound frame, possessing the kind of ball skills and catch radius that project well opposite Nabers.
On top of being the premier X receiver in the Giants' offense, Fields has a knack for beating zone coverage, making him a viable option to move inside and play slot. Last season, Wan'Dale Robinson was the Giants' primary slot option, and with his departure to Tennessee, there are 140 targets vacated for the Giants' pass catchers to assume.
Demond Claiborne, Minnesota Vikings
For 2026, Demond Claiborne is a fade for fantasy managers. Claiborne's real value comes in the dynasty community, where the shadow of Aaron Jones Sr. is non-existent. Minnesota has clearly pushed all its chips in after adding Kyler Murray under center and relegating J.J. McCarty to the bench.
Hence, the likelihood of Claiborne earning opportunities over Jones and Jordan Mason is unlikely outside of potential injuries to both backs, but not impossible, considering that Zavier Scott, Cam Akers, and Ty Chandler all saw some touches last season. Still, the odds are not in the rookie's favor.
In deeper leagues, consider Claiborne as a grab-and-stash option who has the potential to see some action and be a possible bye week flier if the injury-prone 31-year-old Jones were to miss a free week or two at some point. If afforded an opportunity, Claiborne has a nice college profile to fall back on, having averaged 1,175 all-purpose yards in each of his last two collegiate seasons. With that 4.37 40-yard speed, he is a home run threat every time he touches the ball.
Ted Hurst, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Looking at the depth chart can be discouraging for fantasy managers, especially those hoping to see Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Ted Hurst make a fantasy impression in 2026. Hurst currently ranks behind Chris Godwin Jr., Emeka Egbuka, Jalen McMillan, and Tez Johnson. However, nothing has come easily to the zero-star recruit, and wherever Hurst has gone, he has created a new narrative.
After recording 1,096 receiving yards in just two seasons at Georgia State, Hurst heard his name called on Day 2, as the Buccaneers made him their selection in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Looking at the receivers ahead of Hurst entering camp, Egbuka played 17 games, but was playing hurt much of the second half of his rookie season, while Godwin and McMillan played a combined 13 games. Not only is durability a concern for Buccaneer receivers, but we also have 159 vacated targets with the departures of Mike Evans, Rachaad White, and Sterling Shepard. While the path to fantasy production looks bleak on the surface for Hurst, there is a plausible path to production for the rookie this season.
Hurst is the only receiver capable of filling the void of Evans with his combination of speed, size, and catch radius, especially down in the red zone, and with Baker Mayfield's mentality, Hurst will get every opportunity to prove his worth, but with being buried on the depth chart, he is primarily a pick in dynasty and deep leagues only.
With Egbuka dealing with a toe injury and potentially in danger of missing time, Hurst has put himself in consideration for a late-round flier.
Dontayvion Wicks, Philadelphia Eagles
Dontayvion Wicks was part of a crowded receiver room during his three years with the Green Bay Packers, and his numbers suffered greatly because of it. His receiving yards went down in each of his seasons, and he did little for fantasy managers in 2025 with his 30-332-2 line. Wicks was never given a full-time opportunity as a starting receiver in Green Bay, but he should finally get that chance with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He is slated to line up alongside veteran DeVonta Smith and rookie Makai Lemon and will receive more playing time and targets than he ever has in his young career. What Wicks' role in the Jalen Hurts-led passing attack is still yet to be determined, though. The good news is new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion was an offensive assistant and quarterbacks coach in Green Bay when Wicks was there, so he knows how to utilize Wicks to the best of his ability and call plays that work with Wicks' strengths.
Wicks is not going to turn into A.J. Brown, but he should be able to top his career bests across the board now that he is on a team that will supply a halfway-decent snap count for him.
He is a boom-or-bust candidate for sure considering his inconsistent history, his uncertain role, and the quarterback throwing to him. With Lemon dealing with a hamstring injury, Wicks could emerge as the short-term WR2 in this offense.
