San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones improved his record to 5-2 as a starter after leading the team to a 34-24 win over the New York Giants in Week 9. Jones completed all of his first 14 pass attempts and finished 19-for-24 for 235 yards and two touchdowns in the win. If and when Brock Purdy (toe) is healthy enough to resume playing, Jones will head back to the bench. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has labeled the 49ers as "Brock's team," per the AP's Josh Dubow. Whoever is under center in San Francisco's upcoming meeting with the Rams will put fantasy football managers in a tough spot. Jones diced up Los Angeles in Week 5 for 342 yards and two touchdowns, but in their three games since, the Rams have averaged 204 passing yards allowed and registered 12 sacks and two interceptions.--Dan Stephens
