Wyatt's fantasy football draft sleepers, busts, values and fades for 2026. He analyzes when to pay up on premium players compared to waiting on discounted players.
Every year, fantasy managers face the same dilemma during draft season. Do I splurge on flashy, big-name stars, or do I wait for a potential high-performing value pick that could deliver similar production at a fraction of the cost?
There are a handful of players who share a similar range of fantasy outcomes and playstyle, but one is a trendy fantasy player with a pricey ADP while the other remains a low-cost value. Factors could include NFL draft status, media hype, offensive environments, or simply having a cooler name than the other guy. Whatever the reason, fantasy points care about production regardless of any media praise or the situation.
Today, we’re putting fantasy football’s name-brand products head-to-head against their off-brand counterparts. We’ll analyze which players are worth paying premium prices for and which lesser-known options give you similar production, maybe even better production, at a discounted price.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles
- Brand Name
- Yahoo ADP: 56.7 - QB6
The Philadelphia Eagles offense is entering its next evolution in the Jalen Hurts era. Their new offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion, is expected to feature a heavy dose of under-center formations with frequent pre-snap motion, with DeVonta Smith operating as the new No. 1 receiver.

Mannion’s use of motion and play action will give Hurts a “cheat sheet” reading defenses and freeze defenders, thus giving him wider windows to throw over the middle of the field. Hurts hasn’t thrown between the hashes often, but he has been effective when he has.
Sports Illustrated’s Jeff Kerr noted that Hurts is 77-of-99 (77.9%) when throwing over the middle of the field for 855 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only three interceptions since 2022. Additionally, he has a 123.7 passer rating, trailing only Lamar Jackson in that span.
Not to mention, Hurts still offers a high floor because of his elite rushing upside with his ability to rush for double-digit touchdowns. He leads all quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns (50) since 2022.
Hurts still offers a safe floor with his rushing upside, but his ceiling could rise substantially under Mannion’s offensive system. Expect him to throw over the middle of the field more often and go through his progressions freely without having to force the ball to one receiver.
Malik Willis, QB, Miami Dolphins
- Value Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 124.9 - QB23
There was a lot of optimism early this offseason for Malik Willis’ fantasy outlook until he signed a 3-year, $67.5 million contract with the Miami Dolphins in free agency. The team traded Jaylen Waddle before the draft and did not invest heavily in the receiver room to replace him.
Willis will mostly be asked to make chicken salad out of chicken scratch this season, which will likely result in him scrambling all over the football field. Luckily for the Dolphins and fantasy investors, Willis may be the second-best running quarterback in the NFL.
He averaged 58 rushing yards in the three games he played over 80 percent of the snaps in Green Bay, along with three rushing touchdowns. Yes, this is a small sample size, but it projects to 986 rushing yards over a full season.
It is within Willis’ outcomes to rush for over 800 yards in 2026 if he plays all 17 games, especially when factoring in the shaky skill positions around him outside of De'Von Achane
| QB Rushing Finishes (2021-2025) | |||
| Rushing Yards |
Top 10 | Top 6 | Top 3 |
| 450 | 89% | 63% | 47% |

| 725+ | 100% | 88% | 50% |

Willis’ legs give him a solid floor, but the talent-needy receiver room limits his ceiling. He’s a no-risk dart throw late in drafts with his QB23 price tag on Yahoo.
However, with a subpar offense, it is too risky to rely solely on Willis as your QB1 heading out of drafts.
Verdict: Jalen Hurts - Premium Asset
TreVeyon Henderson, RB, New England Patriots
- Name Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 61.4 - RB24
The New England Patriots have one of the best one-two punches in the league with TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson in the backfield.
Fortunately for managers, Henderson is explosive enough to be a fantasy contributor only on a few touches. Unfortunately, Stevenson is too good for the coaching staff to hand the full reins over to Henderson.

— NFL (@NFL) December 14, 2025
According to NBC Sports Boston, Henderson had four rushes of 40 yards or more last season, which only trailed Jahmyr Gibbs (6). Achane, James Cook III, Derrick Henry, and Jonathan Taylor tied Henderson with four carries, but they averaged one big-play run every 74 attempts, whereas Henderson averaged one every 45 attempts.
If Henderson could earn a bigger role this season, it could lead to more splash plays in 2026.
He finally got to be the lead back when Stevenson missed time due to a toe injury. During those three weeks, Henderson had 47 carries for 262 yards and four touchdowns, along with 10 catches for 66 yards on 12 targets and averaged 24.3 PPR points per game.
Nonetheless, Henderson went back to his limited role when Stevenson finally returned in Week 12. If the Patriots planned to make Henderson the primary back, they would have turned over the reins late last season during their run to the Super Bowl.
The quickest way for Henderson to get more opportunities is to improve his pass protection skills.
The 23-year-old was widely regarded as the best pass blocker in a deep running-back class. However, he struggled in passing situations early on, which led to Stevenson earning more plays on passing downs, and so far through training camp it doesn't seem like that has changed.
Henderson might get an expanded role in the offense in 2026, but the staff values Stevenson enough to keep him as the lead back. Henderson will likely have to continue maximizing his touches in a part-time role to live up to his current ADP. If not, it could sink fantasy rosters this season.
Rachaad White, RB, Washington Commanders
- Value Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 121.0 - RB40
Rachaad White finds himself in an opportunistic Washington offense with positive vibes coming out of Ashburn for Commanders training camp and their new offense under OC David Blough. Blough is expected to run a variation of the Ben Johnson offense with a healthy amount of pre-snap motion, under-center snaps, and some eye-catching trick plays.
5 + 1 = 6 🙌 pic.twitter.com/iEsFCqABh0
— Washington Commanders (@Commanders) August 3, 2026
JP Finley and Mitch Tishler noted that the offense has plenty of “razzle and dazzle” with some “backfield shenanigans” during camp on the Beltway Football Podcast on Monumental Sports Network.
Unfortunately, the positive vibes about the offense were cut short when star left tackle Laremy Tunsil suffered a torn triceps that will force him to miss a significant portion of the season. Now, there is no way to replace Tunsil, but the team can find creative ways to help keep Jayden Daniels upright.
White is a reliable back in pass protection, and Blough may opt to use him more often to help with pass protection, chip blocking, and quick passes out of the backfield to offset the loss of Tunsil.
ESPN’s John Keim expects a “diverse” screen game from Washington this season and specifically mentioned two names to keep an eye on, one being White, on his podcast The John Keim Report. The team could rely on screens to help the offensive line and negate heavy pass rushes.
White is going at a significant discount, almost five rounds later than Henderson, despite having a similar fantasy outlook. Henderson has the explosiveness, but White has secured the passing-down role that will allow him to see consistent touches.
Verdict: Rachaad White - Value Asset
Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
- Name Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 33.4 - WR13
The Cincinnati Bengals offense has been viewed as a premium commodity the last few years because of the star power it rosters.
Tee Higgins is the biggest name No. 2 receiver in the league and would be deployed as the No. 1 receiver on most other rosters. However, he is still being drafted as a fringe WR1 despite being the second passing option in the Bengals offense.
A ONE-HANDED TEE DEE 🤯#ProBowlVote + Tee Higgins
📺: #CINvsBUF on FOX pic.twitter.com/Z4ISJTQxXJ— Cincinnati Bengals (@Bengals) December 7, 2025
Higgins is a known commodity in fantasy football that still offers managers a high floor when healthy but has a capped ceiling. In three of the last four seasons, he has finished inside the top 16 in points per game and top 20 in overall scoring.
With a healthy Joe Burrow, Higgins is a threat to score double-digit touchdowns and push for 100 targets. Unfortunately, Burrow and Higgins have each missed 30 games combined over the last four seasons.
Managers might not be overly thrilled to draft Higgins, but they know what they’re getting when he is on their rosters. He remains a high-end WR2 that can push to be a WR1 every week when healthy.
Carnell Tate, WR, Tennessee Titans
- Value Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 78.8 - WR30
There was great debate about Carnell Tate’s ability during the pre-draft process: Can he be a true No. 1 receiver or is he just a really good No. 2 receiver like Higgins?
Tate has been turning heads so far in his first training camp, consistently making plays each day as he builds rapport with Cam Ward.
Let’s take another look at Carnell Tate 40 YARD TD 😱🔥#FOXFieldPass pic.twitter.com/0eZRHNrKr8
— FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) August 30, 2025
ESPN’s Turron Davenport said one of his standout traits is how effectively Tate is running the full route tree already. In addition, Davenport has noted Tate’s nose for the end zone since he has scored often in practice.
With little target competition in the red zone area through the air and no superstar running back on the ground, Tate could find himself as the primary red zone option in the offense.
Rookie wide receivers drafted inside the top 10 have been reliable fantasy options in their first season. Over the last four years, 78 percent have seen at least 115 targets and 55 percent finished inside the top 24 receivers in PPR formats. Additionally, those who had seven-plus touchdowns finished 75 percent inside the top-16 receivers.
The last time Brian Daboll called plays for a receiver selected inside the top 10 picks, they saw 170 targets, finished as the WR6 in overall scoring, and averaged 18.2 PPR points per game.
The metrics suggest Tate has just as good a chance as Higgins to finish inside the top-16 at receiver this season if he can land seven touchdowns, and he is going over 40 picks after him on Yahoo.
Verdict: Carnell Tate - Value Asset
Tyler Warren, TE, Indianapolis Colts
- Name Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 47.2 - TE4
All signs point toward Tyler Warren handling a massive target share in his sophomore campaign. Josh Downs has battled multiple injuries in camp; there is still uncertainty surrounding Alec Pierce’s ankle, and Michael Pittman Jr. is in Pittsburgh.
Warren was one of four tight ends to lead their team in targets last season and projects to repeat in Indy. However, the recent signing of Keenan Allen does cap Warren's ceiling a bit, but there are 111 targets available in the offense, with Pittman being traded away for Allen to eat into before siphoning off Warren's targets.
As well as that, Daniel Jones is coming off an Achilles tear and will be wanting to get the ball out of his hands quickly, which benefits Warren. As a rookie, he had the most yards after the catch (6.2) among all tight ends with at least 50 targets.
Warren also has untapped upside that could break fantasy football. In college, Penn State weaponized Warren's multi-positional versatility across wildcat packages, short-yardage situations, aka its version of the "tush push," and trick plays.

— FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) October 12, 2024
It's worth remembering that Jones will only be nine months removed from his injury and will not be at full strength. HC Shane Steichen could opt to lean into Warren’s versatility in the red zone to steal touchdowns early in the season.
It wasn’t long ago that Jalen Hurts threw for double-digit touchdowns on the tush push. Just imagine how many touchdowns Warren could accumulate from the ground and air if Steichen, who made the "tush push" famous in Philly, decided to implement it in Indianapolis?
Chig Okonkwo, TE, Washington Commanders
- Value Brand
- Yahoo ADP: 126.4 - TE18
Another Commander lands on our list as a value name despite the team producing a top-end offense as recently as 2024. If Daniels stays healthy, he can raise the offense back to one of the best in the NFL and lift most of the team to surpass their current ADP's in fantasy drafts.
As mentioned earlier, the offense has had plenty of razzle dazzle, and ESPN’s John Keim noted that Blough “loves his trick plays” on his podcast The John Keim Report. Additionally, Keim is expecting a diverse screen game that heavily features Chig Okonkwo.

📺: #TENvsHOU on CBS/Paramount+
📱: https://t.co/waVpO909ge pic.twitter.com/98scOwfisp— NFL (@NFL) November 24, 2024
Okonkwo had eight screen plays designed for him last year in Tennessee, and Keim expects him to at least match that this season. He had 6.1 yards after the catch last season, which ranked second only behind Warren among tight ends with at least 50 catches.
The recent signing of Stefon Diggs will cut into Okonkwo’s target share; however, it could allow Blough to use him more creatively in passing concepts.
Blough is expected to use elements of Kingsbury’s vertical passing concepts that would get Okonkwo’s 4.52 speed going down the seam against slower linebackers. Plus, defenses will be gravitating toward Terry McLaurin and Diggs on underneath routes.
In addition, Zach Ertz served as Daniels' security blanket over the last two seasons. Ertz has caught the most passes (81) and the second-most touchdowns in the red zone (eight) from Daniels.
Okonkwo offers a similar YAC archetype to Warren in 2026 at the fraction of the cost. He may not have TE1 overall in his range of outcomes like Warren, but he could definitely push to be a top eight finisher.
Verdict: Tyler Warren - Premium Asset
