Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Hitters for HR, SB, RBI, AVG, Runs (Week 25)

Geraldo Perdomo - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups - icon rotoballer

Mike's fantasy baseball category boosters waiver-wire hitters to add. He goes category by category and picks out hitters for HR, RBI, SB, AVG, and runs for Week 25 (2024).

Welcome back to our fantasy baseball waiver-wire hitter category boosters for Week 25 of the 2024 MLB season -- free-agent hitters to consider adding to help boost your team in HR, SB, RBI, AVG, and runs. We are in the endgame now, my friends.

This is not the time to be stubborn, waiting out players you drafted to start hitting. This is where you drop that big-time draft pick and find someone who can help you win right now. Raise your hand if you ever thought you would roster Jonny DeLuca or Pavin Smith this season. Yet here we are.

This will be our last waiver-wire category piece of the year. I want to thank all of you who have read my words or commented, positively or negatively, on anything written here this year. It has been a pleasure and I hope that I have provided some service, or at least some food for thought for you this season.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Runs Scored (R) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Geraldo Perdomo, Arizona Diamondbacks (43% rostered)

Perdomo keeps appearing in this article and it is because he can help you with runs. He's scored seven runs while hitting .324 this month, so he helps with runs and batting average. Perdomo also has multiple position eligibility, so that helps out your team as well.

Dylan Crews, Washington Nationals (40% rostered)

I still don't get this one: a much-heralded rookie with guaranteed at-bats, and he is free in 60% of Yahoo leagues. Are there that many better outfielders right now on the waiver wire?

Crews has five stolen bases and has scored only three times this month, but batting at the top of the order in a burgeoning Washington lineup should create opportunities to score when he gets on base. A good speculative play here.

Randal Grichuk, Arizona Diamondbacks (5% rostered)

I wrote about Grichuk last week. The guy always finds at-bats, every season, and goes through a period where he is one of the hottest hitters in the league. He is in one such time now. Below is his xwOBA, which has been super good the last month.

Home Runs (HR) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Spencer Horwitz, Toronto Blue Jays (38% rostered)

Horwitz has made the most of his opportunity in Toronto. The youngster is hitting .278 with 12 home runs, 35 RBI, and 42 runs this season, and has three home runs in his last five games. Horwitz has eligibility at both first and second base. Players are starting to catch on, and Horwitz has seen his rostership go from 12% to 38% in two days. Go get him.

Matt Wallner, Minnesota Twins (17% rostered)

Wallner is a pure play for power. He has home runs in two straight starts this week and has pushed his season total to 12 on the season. The left-handed hitter is also playing against both right-handed and left-handed pitchers, which should increase his possibilities for the long ball.

With the Twins fighting for their playoff lives, hot bats will stay in the lineup. Think about Wallner this week.

Pavin Smith, Arizona Diamondbacks (2% rostered)

Yes, I know what you are thinking: this is an easy one because Smith hit three home runs in one game last week. That helps the bottom line, but with a bump in playing time currently, home runs are a legitimate possibility for him right now. He has four home runs this month and continues to play. He could be a great power source here and he's free.

Runs Batted In (RBI) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Joey Bart, Pittsburgh Pirates (22% rostered)

I will admit that I did not see Bart having this kind of success in Pittsburgh after moving over from San Francisco. Bart missed some time but is back now, and he's hitting .271 with 13 home runs, 42 RBI, and 35 runs scored in only 67 games.

He has been a godsend for the catching-poor Pirates this year. If your catchers are struggling, especially in two-catcher leagues, Bart could give you a strong bat down the stretch. Bart has 10 RBI in his last 12 games.

Parker Meadows, Detroit Tigers (14% rostered)

Meadows flies under the radar in Detroit, but did you know he has knocked in 12 runs this month so far? He's also given players seven runs scored and a .381 batting average. Many people picked Meadows as a darling in draft season, but injuries kept him on the shelf.

Meadows is going to hit double-digit home runs and stolen bases at some point this month, and the RBI alone should entice you to roster him. Look at his August and September numbers below, and judge for yourself.

Otto Lopez, Miami Marlins (6% rostered)

Lopez is a middle infielder who most players are unaware of, and he has six RBI in eight September starts, chipping in a home run and five runs this week. He has been added over 1,200 times this week on Yahoo and that trend will continue if he keeps hitting.

Stolen Bases (SB) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Jasson Dominguez, New York Yankees (40% rostered)

The Yankees finally decided to promote Dominguez, figuring that the rookie was a better fit in their lineup than veteran Alex Verdugo. Dominguez stole 11 bases over the last month in Triple-A, and he should run when he gets the playing time opportunity in New York. Dominguez could also be a sneaky play for home runs.

Zack Gelof, Oakland Athletics (36% rostered)

I know, I know. But Gelof does two things well: hit for power and steal bases. Gelof has stolen bases in three of his last four games, and he also chipped in a homer over that time. The .211 batting average is subpar, but he has 17 home runs and 23 stolen bases now on the year. He's a category filler and should be rostered in far more leagues.

Victor Robles, Seattle Mariners (20% rostered)

This is not Robles' first appearance on this list, but it will be the last for this season. He has looked like the player he was when he first came up with the Washington Nationals. Robles has been battling elbow discomfort but is back in the lineup this week, getting three hits and a stolen base on Tuesday night.

The veteran has six steals in his last 10 games, and 24 on the season in only 76 games played. If you are in a league where 5-6 more steals could win you the league, Robles is a guy you have to consider.

Batting Average (AVG) - Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire Boosters

Seth Brown, Oakland Athletics (28% rostered)

Brown has rejuvenated several of my fantasy roisters over the last month and is still only rostered in 28% of Yahoo leagues. Brown has been pounding the baseball since July, yet 72% of Yahoo players don't think he is worth a waiver add. See for yourself below. He's hitting well over .300 with nine homers and 29 RBI since mid-July. He could help and is eligible at first base and outfield.

Jonny DeLuca, Tampa Bay Rays (11% rostered)

DeLuca was an afterthought until recently when he got daily playing time in Tampa Bay. Over his last 20 games, the outfielder is hitting .333 with three home runs and seven stolen bases. It looks like he is going to continue to get time and he is worth having on your radar as an extra outfield bat in September.

Ty France, Cincinnati Reds (11% rostered)

France looks like the guy Seattle thought it had two years ago since he joined the Reds. France is up to a .249 batting average with 12 home runs, 45 RBI, a stolen base, and 42 runs scored. Look at France's batting average over the last month, especially on fastballs. This is where I think he can help you. He could be a difference-maker for you down the stretch.

I hope this helps you out! Good luck and happy hunting, RotoBallers! You can always message me @mdrc0508 on X to complain about picks or make other suggestions! Hope it has been a championship season for you!
