Welcome to the Week 4 edition of the top prospect performers. In this weekly piece, we'll look at top prospects who are performing exceptionally well as of late, who could potentially earn a trip to the big leagues and contribute in fantasy. Now that we're over halfway through April, there are some young stars who are making it hard for MLB teams to justify keeping them in the minors. 

We've already seen the White Sox commit to calling up Noah Schultz and Sam Antonacci, who have both been highlighted in this piece over the past weeks. This week, we'll take a look at three players who were already featured in early editions of this article, but they have all taken their production up another notch lately.

There was likely a mad dash to the waiver wire when Schultz was called up, if no one in your league already owned him. To avoid that, stashing these players could pay off in a big way if they get promoted within the coming weeks. Adding the right prospect at the right time could be just what your team needs to make a push for the championship. Without further ado, let's get into the three elite prospects who are turning a lot of heads recently.

Bryce Eldridge, 1B, San Francisco Giants

Giants No. 1, Overall No. 20

Bryce Eldridge was one of the players discussed in the very first edition of this article this season, and he has been the highest priority stash ever since Konnor Griffin got promoted. If this piece were focused on ranking the top three overall stash candidates every week, then Eldridge would be featured every week, but that would be boring. Instead, we break down three of the best-performing prospects over the recent weeks, which the slugger also happens to be. 

While he did get off to a pretty pedestrian start to the season, he’s really kicked things into gear as of late. Since April 8, he has logged five multi-hit performances in seven games, including two home runs and three doubles. On the season, he is slashing a ridiculous .354/.468/.538.

As good as the 21-year-old has been, he really never even had that much left to prove offensively anyway. He slashed .260/.333/.510 with 25 home runs and 84 RBI in 102 minor league games last season, which was enough to earn him a promotion to the majors in September. Although he hit only .107 in 10 major league games, the slugger still hit a ball with a max exit velocity of 114.6 miles per hour, along with posting a .506 xSLG, 68.8% hard-hit rate, 25% barrel rate, and 18.9% walk rate.

Those are certainly not the numbers of someone who was overwhelmed by major league pitching, and he likely would have started to see results if the season didn’t end. That’s why many thought he was a near lock for the opening day roster in 2026, but unfortunately, the Giants instead went with Casey Schmitt to split first base and designated hitter duties with Rafael Devers.

Schmitt has gotten off to a hot start this season, but realistically, it’s only a matter of time before the role is given to their top prospect. The 6’7” lefty’s raw power and exit velocities would immediately make him one of the biggest power threats in the majors, and he’s worth stashing until that time comes.

Verdict: Stash in 12+ team leagues

Charlie Condon, 1B, Colorado Rockies

Rockies No. 2, Overall No. 62

We discussed Charlie Condon in this piece two weeks ago, but at that point, he had only played in five games this season. They were five successful games, including a two-homer performance on March 28, but he would have to keep it up to warrant a promotion. 

After missing some time after having a cyst removed, he has jumped straight back into being one of the most impressive hitters in the minor leagues. The 23-year-old carried his team’s offense on multiple occasions, including a 3-for-6 night with a home run on April 8 and a 3-for-5 performance with a homer and a double on April 12. He had another multi-hit performance on Friday and is now slashing .339/.456/.589 on the season.

He had a chance to win the starting first base job this spring, and it looked like he was close to earning it, batting .385 with three home runs and four doubles during spring training. Unfortunately, TJ Rumfield did even better, who ultimately won the job. Even with decent starts by Rumfield at first and Edouard Julien at DH, I don’t expect Condon to be stuck in the minors all season. Whether an eventual injury opens up playing time or a slump forces the Rockies into making a change, the slugger is too good not to get a chance in the majors this year. 

He slashed .268/.376/.444 with 14 homers last season in 99 games, and possesses immense raw power. When you combine that with a future of playing half of his games in Coors Field, that provides some difference-making potential for fantasy that would make him a priority add once promoted. 

Verdict: Stash in 15+ team leagues

Robby Snelling, SP, Miami Marlins

Marlins No. 2, Overall No. 34

Robby Snelling was also featured in the week 1 edition of this piece, but his recent performances warrant talking about him again. After being limited to four innings apiece in his first two starts, he’s really started to shine in his two most recent outings. On April 10, he pitched a gem over five shutout innings, where he allowed two hits and four walks while striking out 12. He followed that up with another impressive outing on Friday, April 17, striking out nine over six scoreless innings against the Charlotte Knights.

On the season, that leaves him with a sparkling 1.89 ERA, a 0.95 WHIP, and a 14.68 K/9. Those are the type of numbers that are too good to leave in the minor leagues for too long, and it’s very possible that Snelling could offer an immediate upgrade to the Marlins’ rotation, which is currently occupied with names such as Max Meyer, Chris Paddack, and Janson Junk. 

Miami has also already shown that they believe in him as a potential major league option, as they made it clear he was in the running to win a rotation spot this spring. It didn’t quite work out, with the lefty allowing seven runs in 8 ⅓ innings in spring training, but he has quickly corrected whatever was wrong once he began at Triple-A. 

The 22-year-old was one of the most dominant pitchers in the minor leagues in 2025, when he put up a 2.51 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 166 strikeouts in 136 innings. It’s no surprise that he’s looked equally as dominant to begin 2026, and he could be the next in line of super-talented young pitchers whom the Marlins seem to have a knack for developing. He would be a must-add in all leagues with news of his promotion, and is one of the better stash options if you have deep benches that have room to wait on a minor leaguer.
