Begin by going through our extensive list of pitcher options, organized alphabetically by first name. You can type to see partial results by either first or last name, so no arduous filters or hours of scrolling just to find your target. You'll immediately see that pitcher's upcoming schedule and our patented Matchup Ratings on the side. These are the same ratings you'll see on Fangraphs' Ottoneu fantasy baseball game and is part of our Starting Pitcher Streamer Matchup and DFS Tool as well.
Green=Go, Yellow=Slow, Red=NO!
You probably inferred that our non-patented color system indicates levels of recommendation for each particular start. If a game is highlighted green, you should feel fairly confident in that matchup. Yellow indicates some risk, but not necessarily a clear start or sit either way. Ultimately, it's up to you the fantasy manager, as always. Red means our tool recommends you have the pitcher sit that one out.
These rankings are tabulated based on the pitcher's performance across the categories listed at the top of the table, also including ballpark factor and the opponent's offensive rating. The higher the number, the better the matchup.
Does It Update Automagically?
Yep, it sure does. Pitching rotations and starter schedules change as often as the weather, usually because of the weather, so this list will be updated automatically (and magically) as Major League teams adjust their rotations on a day-to-day basis. That means check back often to make the most informed decisions.
We will usually post the next 12 matchups for a starting pitcher if possible, so you can imagine how helpful that would be when it comes time to compare potential waiver wire adds or streaming options in weekly head-to-head leagues.
