The PGA TOUR heads north of the border this week for the RBC Canadian Open at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley’s North Course in Caledon, Ontario. One of the oldest national championships in golf, the event features a 147-player field and a strong Canadian presence, with 19 Canadians set to tee it up in front of the home crowd.

In an article released on Tuesday, I broke down everything you need to know about the RBC Canadian Open, from course details to key stats and historical trends. If you have not checked that out yet, I highly recommend giving it a read. As always, if you have questions about any players or the event itself, feel free to reach out to me on social media or in Discord.

With that said, let’s dive into the 23rd event of the season as I break down my betting card for the 2026 RBC Canadian Open!

Outrights

Sam Burns (+1500) - FanDuel

Sam Burns leads off the card this week and returns to a tournament where he came painfully close to victory a year ago, eventually falling to Ryan Fox in a playoff.

Burns enters this year's RBC Canadian Open coming off his best performance of the season, a T4 finish at the Memorial Tournament. The result was backed by excellent underlying numbers, as he ranked 7th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, driven by strong approach play, while also ranking 7th in Strokes Gained: Putting.

His game has been trending in the right direction over the past several weeks. While accuracy off the tee can occasionally be an issue for Burns, that weakness should be minimized at TPC Toronto. The North Course features some of the widest fairways on the PGA TOUR, and distance is a much greater advantage than pinpoint accuracy. That setup plays directly into Burns' strengths as one of the longer hitters in the field.

The statistical profile is also encouraging. Over the last 24 rounds, Burns ranks 2nd overall my model. He sits 1st in SG: Par 4 Scoring, 5th in SG: Putting, 8th in Birdie or Better Percentage, and 10th in overall scoring opportunities gained. His ability to create birdie chances and capitalize on them is a major asset at a course that yielded plenty of scoring opportunities last season.

Burns also ranks 15th in Driving Distance over the last 24 rounds, another key indicator for success at a venue that measures nearly 7,400 yards and rewards players who can attack with shorter clubs into the greens.

With elite putting, improving iron play, excellent recent form, and positive course history after last year's runner-up finish, Burns enters the week as one of the most deserving favorites in the field and a player capable of finally taking one step further at the RBC Canadian Open.

Wyndham Clark (+2350) - DraftKings

Wyndham Clark enters this week's event in outstanding form. Over his last two starts, Clark captured the CJ CUP Byron Nelson title and followed it up with a third-place finish at the Memorial Tournament.

Last week at Muirfield Village, Clark delivered his best iron performance of the season, ranking first in Strokes Gained: Approach. His short game was equally impressive, ranking fourth in Strokes Gained: Around the Green. Overall, Clark led the field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green while still gaining strokes with the putter.

The putter was a major concern early in the season, but Clark has completely turned things around. He has now gained strokes putting in five consecutive starts, which has coincided with his recent run of strong finishes. Combined with his elite distance off the tee, Clark should be able to take advantage of a layout that minimizes the importance of driving accuracy.

Clark struggled in this event last season, finishing T59 while losing strokes in nearly every category outside of putting. However, he enters this year's tournament playing significantly better golf. If the putter remains hot, Clark has all the tools needed to contend for another victory.
