Week 9 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Tre Tucker, Alec Pierce, Chimere Dike in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker, Indianapolis Colts wideout Alec Pierce, and Tennessee Titans WR Chimere Dike are three players likely on the roster bubble in many fantasy football leagues.
They're unlikely to have much value in shallower leagues, as none of them are their teams' starting receivers, but they could be valuable to fill in for upcoming bye weeks and injured players.
All three have had their share of good games this season, but should you snag Tucker, Pierce, or Dike in your fantasy football leagues? Let's dive in.

Tre Tucker Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups

Tucker was on bye in Week 8, so he didn't play. He's had some solid games this year, including a 40.9 PPR fantasy point explosion in Week 2. But he's not been consistent. The last three weeks, he's scored 11.1, 12.0, and 8.3 PPR fantasy points, but before that, he had two games under five points.
The increased receiving workload lately has likely been due to the injury of tight end Brock Bowers (knee), who didn't play in those three games that Tucker had more work in. He's set to return after the bye, meaning one of the NFL's worst passing offenses will be more diluted moving forward.
Geno Smith has now thrown 8 interceptions in 5 games played, this is ridiculous 😂

It's now plainly obvious that Las Vegas made a massive mistake when they signed quarterback Geno Smith to a huge contract to be their starting QB. He's played horrible football this year and is holding back the talent of his players massively.
Tucker is unfortunately subject to this awful QB play, and it's hard to see him having much upside this season. He could have one or two more fluky big games, but I don't expect anything consistent, and he's not startable right now. And if WR Jakobi Meyers comes back, there will be a lot of target competition.
Alec Pierce Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 30% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 14-team leagues
With the return of WR Josh Downs, Pierce was relegated yet again to his "a few big plays a game" role. He has excellent speed, which the team has leveraged to stretch the field and keep defenses honest -- the excellent play of Colts quarterback Daniel Jones has ensured this.
In Week 8, Pierce had two catches on five targets for 69 yards. That pretty well encapsulates his role. He's averaging over 21.4 yards per reception this year, which ranks second in the NFL among players with 15 or more catches.
Hell of a route by Alec Pierce. Sold the vertical and stomped on the brakes. pic.twitter.com/Z53ktI5b3M

The vast array of weapons the Colts have makes it difficult for Pierce to have consistency, though he does play a very important role. Tight end Tyler Warren and wide receivers Downs and Michael Pittman Jr., together with Pierce, form one of the best pass-catching groups in the NFL.
Indy's offense is humming in both the pass and run game, and they're on pace for a potentially record-breaking level of efficiency, so there's not much reason for head coach Shane Steichen to change things. Pierce is a name to keep your eye on in case Warren, Pittman, or Downs get hurt, though.
Chimere Dike Week 9 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 19% of Leagues
Baller Move: Don't Add
The Tennessee Titans have an absolutely miserable passing offense. Their starting quarterback, Cam Ward, is a rookie. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft actually had the best game of his career last week, throwing 38 passes and completing 22 of them for 259 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
The fact that this was his best game of the season is, of course, alarming. A lot of that production also came late in a massive blowout loss against the Indianapolis Colts, who don't have a good defense. They got shredded by the Los Angeles Chargers two weeks ago.

Ward is just not good, but Dike had a solid target share last week. He was targeted eight times and caught seven passes for 93 yards. Last week, he had four catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. But the extra production comes on the back of an injury to WR Calvin Ridley (hamstring).
You just can't trust Titans receivers for now, and when Ridley returns, Dike's role will be very diminished. He's not worth having except in dynasty leagues right now.
