QB Mac Jones
With Brock Purdy again sidelined, it will be Mac Jones - who has battled some injuries himself - under center for the Niners in Week 7. Jones will be more of a QB2 option in Superflex formats. The Falcons haven’t allowed a top-12 QB fantasy finish since Week 1. So, it’s best to avoid all 49ers QBs.
49ers ruled out QB Brock Purdy (toe) and WR Ricky Pearsall (knee) for Sunday night’s game against the Falcons.

Kendrick Bourne has definitely earned more opportunities moving forward. He has totaled over 140 receiving yards in each of the last two games, and Ricky Pearsall will miss his third straight contest. Unfortunately, this is a tougher matchup for Bourne on the outside. A.J. Terrell will likely be matched up against him for most of the game, making Bourne more of a WR4.
George Kittle will return from his hamstring injury this week. His return is certainly going to be a big boost for your fantasy team. However, this isn’t the best matchup for him. The Falcons have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing TEs and have yet to allow a TE to finish as a top-20 option. Still, Kittle will be a solid TE1 this weekend.
Kyle Shanahan on George Kittle’s playing time against the Falcons on SNF:
“No pitch count. George has rehabbed really well. Came back 100% and had a good week of practice. We’ll space it out throughout the game, but no pitch count.” pic.twitter.com/RTx4zclKrP

Other Notable Matchups
It’s going to be tough to trust Michael Penix Jr. as a QB1 option this week. He has finished as a top-12 QB just once and has thrown just three passing touchdowns since Week 2. Although the 49ers have let up a top-12 QB finish in back-to-back games, Penix is more of a middle-of-the-pack QB2 play in Superflex formats.
The Falcons have done a great job against RBs in fantasy this year. They have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game and the third-fewest receptions per game to opposing RBs across the first six weeks. None of that matters, though, when it comes to Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey will be an RB1 option this week.
Bijan Robinson will enter the week as an RB1 in fantasy. He has finished as a top-12 RB in every contest this year and is coming off a game in which he scored 35.8 PPR fantasy points. That means Robinson should be in all fantasy lineups in Week 7. The 49ers have let an RB finish top-10 in consecutive weeks.
WR Drake London
Drake London will remain a must-start WR1 in fantasy this week. He just had his best fantasy game of the season last week (31.8 PPR fantasy points) and should continue to be in all fantasy lineups. Four different WRs have totaled over 70 receiving yards against the 49ers in 2025, including both Nacua and Adams in Week 5.
WRs Jauan Jennings/Ricky Pearsall
Pearsall will not play in Week 7 as he continues to deal with a knee injury. As for Jauan Jennings, he will be a riskier flex play. He is reportedly playing with five broken ribs and only caught one pass last week. Additionally, the Falcons have allowed only two WRs to finish inside the top-36 through six weeks.
Pitts has some potential as a TE1 option this week against the 49ers. The Falcons playmaker has caught at least four passes in four of his five games, and San Francisco has allowed five different TEs to score at least 10 PPR fantasy points against them this year. So, Pitts can be a start in 14-plus team leagues.
Injuries:
- Brock Purdy (toe) - Out
- Mac Jones (knee) - Will start
- Ricky Pearsall (knee) - Out
- George Kittle (hamstring) - Expected to Play
- Darnell Mooney (hamstring) - Questionable
